I believe the Finzy Contini version was the original but this version was easier to mix when you would raise the pitch and RPM to keep the crowd pumping.

Soooo Cool! I almost forgot about this song! I was very much into the euro-disco scene when I lived in LA. Danced to many many euro-disco songs spun by some of the most awesome DJ's in the 80's. I heard that that LA scene was a micro-culture. My wife from Northern Ca never heard of the music I danced many a night to. GREAT MEMORIES! THANKS FOR REVIVING THEM!

maybe the french thought since its such a huge seller, they could make their own version and the french people will only buy the key largo version.
