  • Just realized that Mick Foley used to opening riff of this song as his theme song in WWE.

  • @SupuhBeast1 who gives a shit about WWE, not people with an intelect grater than a peanut

  • @Aggressive46 >grater

  • Since you been gone.. out of my head can't take it ...

  • i just like it.... blackmore just makes the song absolutely great

  • Blackmore should dedicate this to Dio every time they play this. Though I guess Rainbow doesn't tour anymore?

  • @fallofthefleshgod Rainbow has been out of commission since 1997. Originally Ritchie disbanded Rainbow in 1984 when he returned to Deep Purple, but when he left Deep Purple again in 1994, he temporarily formed a new version of Rainbow, but when he finished the album and tour, he disbanded it for good to form Blackmore's Night, a renaissance music band.

  • @musashihumar Yeah I keep up with Blackmore's Night but it doesn't really surprise me that Rainbow is out of commission.

  • Comment removed

  • It seems to me like no matter who Rainbow had as their singer, they were always really good. I think Down To Earth is one of their most underrated albums.

  • Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Temple of the KIng and Man on The Silver Mountain to this?

  • i rember every time i used to go on holiday with my family, my dad would play this song! good memories! and i love the guitar shred at the end!

    well done!

  • Yeah baby! Man this song brings back so many memories.

  • EPIC among epicness

  • I like it!

  • Wow! -RAINBOW- true rock/metal!!!

  • 3 PERSOINAS SORDASSSS

  • I F+++ing LOVE THAT SONG!!!!

  • im a massive rainbow but this is probably the only good song off down to earth worth listening to

  • This song and "Street of Dreams" are my FAVORITES from Rainbow. I can remember driving my first piece of crap ( a1974 Ford Gran Torino) in 1979 and cranking up this tune along with "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova "Crazy Love" by Dakota , "Driver's Seat" by Sniff'n the Tears, "Sweet Talkin' Woman" by ELO and so many more and singing along with all my friends in the car cruising, having fun, wasting time, and enjoying every minute of it! Ahhh...memories.

  • I ADORE THIS SONG! ROCK ON RAINBOW! ONLY FOOLS COULD PUT DISLIKE ON THIS SONG.

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • For the person wanting to know, "Wheel in the Sky" is a song by Journey.

  • Es preciosa la letra de la cancion, parece muy feliz pero la verdad que a mi me da un poco de pena.

  • Bonnet > Dio

  • malmsteen

  • First time I heard this song summer 1991. I was 14 and my dad was just diagnosed with terminal cancer. He died April 30,1992. This song describes me.

  • @theenforcer1977 I'm sorry to hear that

  • @theenforcer1977 sorry to hear that

  • @theenforcer1977 Why would anyone want to know your emo shite? Be a fucking man you poof.

  • @Hornet0biker There is nothing emo about being sad about a deceased family member. Grow up you fail.

  • @servantlol There is everything emo about trying to get attention from strangers about it you fucking tool.

  • @Hornet0biker Who said he was trying to get attention? Not to mention that you're doing the exact same thing by trolling the shit out of this video. Just saying.

  • @servantlol Why the fuck else would the cunt be typing this out for others to read if he didn't want attention?????? Please. I'd like to know what other explanation you might have.

  • @Hornet0biker

The same as you do now? getting attention..

  • @psudde I didn't start it dickhead I was responding. Get a grip.

  • @Hornet0biker Maybe to explain what this song means to him? Hardly ANYONE knows this band nowadays (let alone this song, whether it's this version or the original). If people don't know the song already, then do you think they would listen to him in the first place? People who DO know the song are gonna understand the connection that someone else might feel when listening to the song.

  • @Hornet0biker (continued) If you want to see what I mean, go and find a soundclip of Ozzy Osbourne's "See You On the Other Side" and look in the comments section.

Given the mass amounts of trolling that you're doing, I doubt you're even going to care what explanation I might have, but that's the best I've got.

  • @servantlol There is about posting it on the internet for others to read you fucking loser.

  • @theenforcer1977 sorry man :(

  • @theenforcer1977

    So sorry for your loss......

  • @theenforcer1977 sorry for your loss, i know te feeling, my dad passed April 30 this year! ♥

  • @theenforcer1977 Im sorry to hear about your dad! I'll respect you!

  • That's a great song, Man on the Silver Mountain.

  • i thought DIO did man on the silver mountain. or was that just a cover and rainbow did the original?

  • Man on the Silver Mountain is Rainbow's Orginal Song.

  • @BlackWarriorPro

but Dio was singer of rainbow!

  • @Metalfreakydoo Dio left when blackmore decided to head down a more commercialized soft pop rock route instead of the hard rock medieval themes of the ritchie blackmore's rainbow and rising albums

  • @BlackWarriorPro Was Dio the singer in Rainbow at the time the song was made?

  • @BlackWarriorPro nice of you to say so. The albums with Dio, fantastic. DIO forever! Excuse me..

  • Man on the Silver Mountain was done by Rainbow, when Ronnie James Dio was with them, before he went with Black Sabbath and before this guy came with the group.

  • @odensfury

this is rainbow with graham bonnet

  • @odensfury Dio was the singer for Rainbow

  • @odensfury Sung originally by Dio while he was in Rainbow (Mk I)

  • @odensfury

Man on THe silver mountain was aoriginally by rainbow WHILE dio was in the band dio still plays it live tho

  • @skikeland Dio still plays it live? Man, I wish, unfortunately he passed away on 16 May 2010...

  • @odensfury I think Dio was already a member of Rainbow when they released Man on the Silver Mountain

  • @odensfury

Blackmore and Dio wrote Man On The Silver Mountain together, Dio sang it on the original Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow album, then went on to sing it often in his solo career.

  • I believe the song is called "Man on the Silver Mountain"

  • Or you could be thinking of "Wheel in the sky" by Journey

  • @barmybear sounds like a bit of Man on the silver mountain tbh

  • @barmybear It's Man on the Silver Mountain

  • @barmybear

    man on the silver mountain!

    the lyrics are :

im a wheel im a wheel and u cant stop me turning

  • @barmybear that song is man on the silver mountain

  • @barmybear hmm...the only thing that pops out in my mind ist 'wheel in the sky' by journey xD

  • @barmybear ive listened 2 rainbow since i was 2 n im 19 now n idont recall those lyrics sorry

  • @barmybear man on the silver mountain

  • @barmybear

    Can't stop the wheel turning.

  • @barmybear

    I'm a wheel, I'm a wheel

I can roll, I can feel

And you can't stop me turning

'Cause I'm the sun, I'm the sun

I can move, I can run

But you'll never stop me burning?

if yes then its called "Man on the silver Mountain"

  • @barmybear "Wheel in the Sky" is by Journey
