Hello guys... I don't know where to start... Umm... I'm 16 and i can't tell you just how sorry I am for my generation's music, sorry about that guys... I'll tell you one thing though, I am probably the biggest fan in my town of this type of music, good music if anyone got lost, WOOO!!! ROCK N' ROLL!!! \m/
@fallofthefleshgod New confirmed tour dates for Dio Disciples 9/22/11 Poughkeepsie, NY, The Chance 9/23/11 Asbury Park, NJ, Stone Pony 9/26/11 Buffalo, NY, Town Ballroom 9/27/11 Pittsburgh, PA, Altar Bar 9/28/11 Cleveland, OH, House of Blues 9/29/11 Chicago, IL, House of Blues 9/30/11 Medina, MN, Medina Entertainment Center 10/06/11 Baton Rouge, LA Varsity Theatre 10/07/11 Houston, TX, Scout Bar 10/08/11 San Antonio, TX, Sunken Gardens 10/09/11 Dallas, TX, Trees
@fallofthefleshgod Rainbow has been out of commission since 1997. Originally Ritchie disbanded Rainbow in 1984 when he returned to Deep Purple, but when he left Deep Purple again in 1994, he temporarily formed a new version of Rainbow, but when he finished the album and tour, he disbanded it for good to form Blackmore's Night, a renaissance music band.
It seems to me like no matter who Rainbow had as their singer, they were always really good. I think Down To Earth is one of their most underrated albums.
This song and "Street of Dreams" are my FAVORITES from Rainbow. I can remember driving my first piece of crap ( a1974 Ford Gran Torino) in 1979 and cranking up this tune along with "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova "Crazy Love" by Dakota , "Driver's Seat" by Sniff'n the Tears, "Sweet Talkin' Woman" by ELO and so many more and singing along with all my friends in the car cruising, having fun, wasting time, and enjoying every minute of it! Ahhh...memories.
@Hornet0biker Who said he was trying to get attention? Not to mention that you're doing the exact same thing by trolling the shit out of this video. Just saying.
@servantlol Why the fuck else would the cunt be typing this out for others to read if he didn't want attention?????? Please. I'd like to know what other explanation you might have.
@Hornet0biker Maybe to explain what this song means to him? Hardly ANYONE knows this band nowadays (let alone this song, whether it's this version or the original). If people don't know the song already, then do you think they would listen to him in the first place? People who DO know the song are gonna understand the connection that someone else might feel when listening to the song.
@Hornet0biker (continued) If you want to see what I mean, go and find a soundclip of Ozzy Osbourne's "See You On the Other Side" and look in the comments section.
Given the mass amounts of trolling that you're doing, I doubt you're even going to care what explanation I might have, but that's the best I've got.

@Metalfreakydoo Dio left when blackmore decided to head down a more commercialized soft pop rock route instead of the hard rock medieval themes of the ritchie blackmore's rainbow and rising albums
Man on the Silver Mountain was done by Rainbow, when Ronnie James Dio was with them, before he went with Black Sabbath and before this guy came with the group.
Blackmore and Dio wrote Man On The Silver Mountain together, Dio sang it on the original Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow album, then went on to sing it often in his solo career.
@barmybear dio did a song like that with black sabbath called the mob rules , i know he sings about a wheel falling to the ground and spinning all around in that song
@barmybear - Hmm...you've probly had this answered by now, but no sense in not telling you I guess. This is in response to your comment: what song is it were rainbow sing about a wheel buring and you;ll never stop me turning
That song is "Man on the Silver Mountain" but like I said this has probly been answered.
@barmybear Dio was Rainbow's vocalist for their first 3 albums, and the song which you are referring to is Man on the Silver Mountain. It's the first track on the album titled "Richie Blackmore's Rainbow"
did you know that the verse chord run down is almost identical to the verse chord run down of the song song better together by jack johnson...sounds made...but try it...haha..have fun :) :) :)
AMAZING, always loved this song!!! Btw, this is probably the best quality in youtube of this song..shame, cuz if there is a video with the same quality...it should be mindblowing!!! =)))
