Could you supply me a place where we call the Watchtower "the truth"? We speak of what we believe to be true as the "truth". Naturally that is the way to speak of things which you are convinced of is the truth. We are well aware that there is only one ultimate truth, only one truth that never needs revision, and that is God's Word. "The Truth" is just a term that Jehovah's Witnesses use for their beliefs. This is taken from John 4:24 where it states that those worshiping god must worship with "spirit and truth." The Watchtower is simply a bible study aid that is used to help those searching for a better understanding of bible topics.

i think you will find the watchtower doesnt portray its own views rather, its a study of what jesus said, as well as encompassing the entire bible, for what the bibles message is. now can someone please tell me what it is? i know what it is.
Jesus made no such statement in fact if you go back and read the entire 24th chapter in context you will see he actually told his followers NOT to be shaken or agitated by world events....he was asked for a sign and the only sign he referred to was him coming on the clouds to visit judgment at the end times. Just as the bible says about Noah..."they were swept away because they DID NOT KNOW"... they were already judged by God.

@TheHeavensDove It is not just JW's who have been swept up in this end times "SIGN" mumbo jumbo. The question put to Jesus was for a sign...if the events mentioned were to hearken his coming, that would make them SIGN(S).
Others of the time who asked for a sign in order to believe were called "wicked" and "adulterous"! (Mt 12:39) Why would Jesus then set about a program of notifying that would give "sign seekers" an advantage?

There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers. The Watchtower is Law concerning JW's, we all know that. It is where they are kept up to date with the latest and ever-changing 'truth' as they see it. How the truth can change so many times and then go full circle is another question though.
Yes they are! They respect the provision of free will given by God that is why some members stay will some leave. They are encouraged to question ALOT and they even teach the fundamentals of research which is when something is said or written as proof you go about doing the research for it.

Friend, the law that God himself wrote is "perfect", as the scriptures themselves attest. Jehovah could NEVER write Falsehood, for that would make him a liar. The first "pact"(not the law) was flawed, because it rellied on MAN to comply with the comandments on his own merits, and Jehovah, knowing this was not possible for mankind, used the first pact of the law to show the people how sinful they really were. Do not be deceived, Jesus took away the 'manuscript document' (the book of the law, written by moses) with his death; but The ten words or comandments were written by the very finger of God, and are the rules by wich all sin is considered sin. That law is the 'mark' we miss when we sin, "for sin IS the transgression of the law". God found fault not with the law, but with the people. Jesus came to fulfill the law and not abolish it (Matt 5:17). The great majority of JWs are told by their organization that they are no part of the new covenant. They are told they cannot have the law written on their hearts. So where does that leave them?

We preach the good news just as he told his disciples to.At Matthew 4:17 he started to declare the good news that God's Kingdom is coming.He taught his disciples to preach it as well in Matthew chapter 10.Jesus teaches to pray for God's name Jehovah to be sancified, hallowed, sacred=Matthew 6:9,10. It comforts people with the good news that Gods Kingdom, which is a real government in Heaven, will soon bring an end to all wickedness and transform the earth into a beautiful paradise. It promotes faith in Jesus Christ who is now ruling as King of God's Kingdom. The Watchtower Magazine is nonpolitical. It adheres to the Bible as its Authority.

I've read many WT mags. Although they may have Bible references there, they RARELY have anything to do with the point the WT is trying to make. I guarantee that if you just read the bible verse quoted in the mag, you'd NEVER come up with the same point the WT is trying to make. Try it.

Not one of Jehovah's Witnesses would refer to the Watchtower as "the truth" seperately from the Bible. WT publications never say, or even insinuate, that anything other than what is in the Holy Scriptures is the truth. Every teaching of Jesus is upheld consistently by WT publications. What does it say on the side of that building in Brooklyn again? "Read the Watchtower Daily"? Nope. "Read God's Word Daily".
EVERY JW I know personally refers to the WT organization as "the truth." I'll even get you to admit it if you are honest. answer this question. Can you be "in the truth" without being a baptized JW?

This is a good point. I will be sure to bring this to the attention of the elders at my congregation. I am not yet baptized, but I will be soon. I will say, that the Jehovah's Witnesses are the only group of people that I have been able to find solid answers with on scriptural things, and I love those whom I congregate with at this moment. When I pray however, I pray for YHWH's name to be sanctified, and for his kingdom to come. I always follow Jesus' example at Matthew 6:9- model prayer.

Do yourself a favor. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't ask questions. You enjoy the congregation now because you are in your honeymoon phase. Keep referring to God as Yahweh and someone will take you aside and talk to you. Even though the WT has admitted that Yahweh is more accurate than Jehovah. Don't ever stop thinking and questioning. It is healthy.
if we refer to the truth we refer to Gods word not the WT organisation. However it happens to be that the organisation of Jehovah's Witnesses as a group live up those truthful commands of Gods word.

There is more to being a Christian than "comforting thoughts". The first thing on Jesus' list of prayerful priorities in his model prayer is "let your(Jehovah's)kingdom come". That kingdom is coming with or without us.

Once again you're getting caught up in your own salvation. You need to stop worrying about your own skin and think about the reproach that Satan has heaped upon Jehovah's name. I went through this whole fear of afterlife thing as a kid. I'm a grown man now. And what's more,Jehovah has taught me the truth by means of His Holy Spirit. I do have forgiveness from my sins. The difference between you and I is,I know I'm sinful and need the forgiveness. You think it's like money in the bank.
If the Bible says I am forgiven, then it would be faithless to think that it isn't money in the bank. How do you know you are forgiven and how did you achieve it?
Because we can't do it PERFECTLY yet. In time,when Satan and all evil doers are evicted we will continue to change. This is progress. The Bible is a big book. I think it's ironic when people refer to us as 'know it alls' because we are constantly learning and adjusting. Did you just wake up one day and know everything about God? I actually studied with JW's for 2 years before I felt comfortable enough to call this my religion. So far all adjustments have been for the better.
I don't know it all. But I do know enough that the WT is a false prophet organization and is not to be trusted. If you can't do it perfectly, just how close to perfect do you have to be to survive Armageddon? How will you ever know that you are good enough. That is not a comforting thought.

This must have caught them unaware seeing as they try to make a case with the Lord.

Its Simple The Watchtower and JW believe Jesus is the Archangel Michael. So they have no Savior! An Angel is there Messiah. True Christians know that Jesus is the propitiation for sins! (1 John 2:2). Romans 10:9 etc. Evidence Ministries keep preaching truth!

"The Truth" is just a term that Jehovah's Witnesses use for their beliefs. This is taken from John 4:24 where it states that those worshiping god must worship with "spirit and truth." The Watchtower is simply a bible study aid that is used to help those searching for a better understanding of bible topics.

Using the words 'deity' and 'Godhead' is just copying pagan religions. More accurately 'All the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily' in Jesus because he is the IMAGE of the invisible God. Adam & Eve were made in God's image "our image, according to our likeness" Gen 1:26 Jesus has the qualities (likeness) of God but he is NOT the Father.

The Watchtower is a publication for study and news, it is not the"TRUTH" But a tool like a textbook or an informational phamplet. Yes Jesus is the way by following how he lived and how he preached and lived his life. So by living the way Jesus did and following his example he is the way to the truth!!!!

Because God"s word is the truth john 17:17. Jesus is the Word. The watchtower is the tool that the faithful and discreet slave use's to feed the Masters household food (the truth Gods word) matt 24:45-51 at the proper time.When you are talking about prophecy the w.t. has always said they are not prophets, they say this is our understanding at this time. The closer we get to end the clearer the understanding.Just like the apostles Acts1:6,7, 1 cor 13:9,10.

Jesus made no such statement in fact if you go back and read the entire 24th chapter in context you will see he actually told his followers NOT to be shaken or agitated by world events....he was asked for a sign and the only sign he referred to was him coming on the clouds to visit judgment at the end times. Just as the bible says about Noah..."they were swept away because they DID NOT KNOW"... they were already judged by God.

@TheHeavensDove It is not just JW's who have been swept up in this end times "SIGN" mumbo jumbo. The question put to Jesus was for a sign...if the events mentioned were to hearken his coming, that would make them SIGN(S).
Others of the time who asked for a sign in order to believe were called "wicked" and "adulterous"! (Mt 12:39) Why would Jesus then set about a program of notifying that would give "sign seekers" an advantage?
All should take a 2nd look at the account...no sign is really given.

Yes they are! They respect the provision of free will given by God that is why some members stay will some leave. They are encouraged to question ALOT and they even teach the fundamentals of research which is when something is said or written as proof you go about doing the research for it.

JWs refer to the Watchtower as a magazine.
And JWs refer to the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society as a printing company and office space.

Friend, the law that God himself wrote is "perfect", as the scriptures themselves attest. Jehovah could NEVER write Falsehood, for that would make him a liar. The first "pact"(not the law) was flawed, because it rellied on MAN to comply with the comandments on his own merits, and Jehovah, knowing this was not possible for mankind, used the first pact of the law to show the people how sinful they really were. Because of man's own transgression of the law, the rendered the pact nule, broke it...

They broke it, not God. Do you remenber what God says his new covenant is all about? "and this is the new covenant i will make with the house of israel, i shall put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts"...(Jer31:31-33) We no longer have the ten comandments carved in two stone tablets, as a contract that we KNOW we can't fulfill. You now have the perfect sacrifice of Christ, wich more than makes up for any short comings on our part in keeping God's law, he is our advocate...

This is no longer the case for us, because, Christ, through his life, always kept the comandments to perfection, and thus, dying in our stead, satisfied the ultimate punishment for the transgression of God's law:"eternal death", therefore we are NO LONGER declared Righteous through our keeping of the law, but through our faith in the fact that THAT wich we can not accomplish(keeping god's law to perfection), has already been Done for us through Christ, but God's law is STILL what we strive for

Do not be deceived, Jesus took away the 'manuscript document' (the book of the law, written by moses) with his death; but The ten words or comandments were written by the very finger of God, and are the rules by wich all sin is considered sin. That law is the 'mark' we miss when we sin, "for sin IS the transgression of the law". Name ANY sin, that is not encapsulated in the ten comandments...you can't. remenber, if there is no law, then there is NO SIN, and then we would NOT need Christ

God found fault not with the law, but with the people. Jesus came to fulfill the law and not abolish it (Matt 5:17). The great majority of JWs are told by their organization that they are no part of the new covenant. They are told they cannot have the law written on their hearts. So where does that leave them?

Jesus words were truth. Were Paul's words not truth? Was John's revelation not truth? So we know that Jesus was not the ONLY source of truth. His truth came from God Jehovah. So anyone, no matter who, including the WT magizine, who speaks truth is true.

No, being "truthful" does not make you THE TRUTH. John and paul were "truthful" because to them, Life itself was Christ, and Paul even said so in those words. But you could NEVER call Paul or John the "way and the life" now could you? That's because the truth is not a concept, or a list of precepts,IT IS A PERSON. Jesus IS the truth and the way and the life, because through him even LIFE existed, he even said the Holy spirit would Take from "ME", and give unto his disciples once we was gone

We preach the good news just as he told his disciples to.At Matthew 4:17 he started to declare the good news that God's Kingdom is coming.He taught his disciples to preach it as well in Matthew chapter 10.Jesus teaches to pray for God's name Jehovah to be sancified, hallowed, sacred=Matthew 6:9,10. You follow EVERY command from the Governing Body and EVERY interpretation of scripture in the Watchtower magazine, and you do not have the TRUTH, for Jesus IS the TRUTH, John 14:6, and the Bible is a book for all manking, and interpreting scripture is not the sole right of your Watchtower Society which is but a printing company, and, as such, one of the mightiest in world history.
Actually Peter said that only in the Jesus' name can we be saved, Acts 4:12.

Jesus don't accept that you challenge with the religions. I have advise for you, you don't have to judge people. But only one god judge other the people as not YOU! Your teaching is mad and false! If you love the Word of God, don't become a JW as you'll end up reading WT literature WAY more than you read your Bible. Just pay attention to the emphasis that JWs place on the WT. You'll know that is isn't right.

I've read many WT mags. Although they may have Bible references there, they RARELY have anything to do with the point the WT is trying to make. I guarantee that if you just read the bible verse quoted in the mag, you'd NEVER come up with the same point the WT is trying to make. Try it.

Not one of Jehovah's Witnesses would refer to the Watchtower as "the truth" seperately from the Bible. WT publications never say, or even insinuate, that anything other than what is in the Holy Scriptures is the truth. Every teaching of Jesus is upheld consistently by WT publications. What does it say on the side of that building in Brooklyn again? "Read the Watchtower Daily"? Nope. "Read God's Word Daily".

This is a good point. I will be sure to bring this to the attention of the elders at my congregation. I am not yet baptized, but I will be soon. I will say, that the Jehovah's Witnesses are the only group of people that I have been able to find solid answers with on scriptural things, and I love those whom I congregate with at this moment. When I pray however, I pray for YHWH's name to be sanctified, and for his kingdom to come. I always follow Jesus' example at Matthew 6:9- model prayer.

Do yourself a favor. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't ask questions. You enjoy the congregation now because you are in your honeymoon phase. Keep referring to God as Yahweh and someone will take you aside and talk to you. Even though the WT has admitted that Yahweh is more accurate than Jehovah. Don't ever stop thinking and questioning. It is healthy.

I went through this whole fear of afterlife thing as a kid. I'm a grown man now. And what's more,Jehovah has taught me the truth by means of His Holy Spirit. I do have forgiveness from my sins. Because we can't do it PERFECTLY yet. In time,when Satan and all evil doers are evicted we will continue to change. This is progress. The Bible is a big book. I think it's ironic when people refer to us as 'know it alls' because we are constantly learning and adjusting. Did you just wake up one day and know everything about God? I actually studied with JW's for 2 years before I felt comfortable enough to call this my religion. So far all adjustments have been for the better.

I don't know it all. But I do know enough that the WT is a false prophet organization and is not to be trusted. If you can't do it perfectly, just how close to perfect do you have to be to survive Armageddon? How will you ever know that you are good enough. That is not a comforting thought.

Nowhere in any of our literature is the watchtower claiming to be the truth. The Bible and Gods word is truth. You apparently preach what you believe to be the truth. But humans are infallible and make mistakes. At least the WT is humble enough to admit to admit to mistake and we ocassionally recieve adjustments in our literature. please provide some examples. For sure there have been major adjustments. Back in the thirties, there were Jw's that smoked cigarettes. Adjustments were made and that is no longer tolerated. JW's used to celebrate christmas and it was recognized that this celebration was pagan in origin..adjustments were made. please provide examples instead of just making accusations.

Its Simple The Watchtower and JW believe Jesus is the Archangel Michael. So they have no Savior! An Angel is there Messiah. True Christians know that Jesus is the propitiation for sins! (1 John 2:2). Romans 10:9 etc. Evidence Ministries keep preaching truth!

John 17:6-Jesus says,"I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word." It was considered heresy to Jews of the first century to pronounce YHWH out loud. Jesus didn't follow this tradition.
