Indeed Denmark is a cool country Scandinavia overall is nice (haven´t been to Iceland yet) and only in an airport in Finland and i´d say Denmark is probably the country us Swedes visit the most in Scandinavia if not Norway nowdays.
Im an Australian who lived in Denmark for a few years. I had difficulty with the lack of sun and green in winter. I strugled for a while to understand what was so appealing about this place. I had my first child there and then returned to Australia. Ever since being back every thing is different. I realised I prefer the Social/Political system way more than in Australia. We always got respect and support from the Danes and Society is honest, fair and safe! I I love it there and i'm moving back!

Most governments in the world want to limit the freedoms of their peoples and be better able to control them.
Denmark is one of the most controlled societies on earth. (Yes, I consider 40%+ taxes extremely authoritarian.)
By pointing a finger at Denmark and saying, "Look! They are happy!" they are betting on more of their own people voting socialist/communist.
I do not see Danes as being particularly happy. We just have a high living standard, allowing us to forget our unhappiness.

but was VERY educated, had little chance to own her own home. I have all of these things, but am no “happier” She told me that these things would likely make her happier. I thought about it and told her it wouldn’t. The more I have (not being a wealthy person) the more I want and I take too much for granted. I think this is true for most of us. This is only one small part of what makes happiness, so you can see how complex the subject is. Sounds like The Danish appreciate what hey have !!

She has lived in Denmark for 2 years with her biological father, speaks Danish, attends school. Danish authorities are kicking her out because they say she won't be able to integrate. Im an Australian who lived in Denmark for a few years. I had difficulty with the lack of sun and green in winter. I strugled for a while to understand what was so appealing about this place. I had my first child there and then returned to Australia. Ever since being back every thing is different. I realised I prefer the Social/Political system way more than in Australia. We always got respect and support from the Danes and Society is honest, fair and safe! I I love it there and i'm moving back!

@frederikhj typisk en musselbandit der gør sig til mere end hvad han er....... Hvis du har set verden så bliv derude. Du har ikke oplevet de forskellige kulturer. Hvis du har det så bevis det og hvis du ikke er en af muslerne så bevis det !!! Så simpelt er det !!!!
