This activity was introduced to the adventure education world 20 years ago by Project Adventure. The object is to lower an object (stick, hoop, etc) which sits on top of group's fingers, slowly to the ground while EVERYONE maintains total and constant contact with the hoop. Very hard to do, it's a wonderful exploration for how a group can work with each other, set goals and achieve tasks.
This is a game called Helium Stick, you must lower the stick whilst remaining in contact, there are other minor game regulations but thats the gist of it
