Cool video. I went to Iran in 2003 to ski. I skied in Dizin, Shemshak and Chelgerd. Really good value. Slopes are uncrowded and the people are welcoming and friendly. I would go back tomorrow if I had the chance.
@MyTutorialFilms LOL look how mad these iranians get when you call them iranian... The only reasons you call yourselves persians is to escape the racist and prejudice comments from telling ignorant and naive people that you are iranian because they dont realize that persians are iranian. I bet NOBODY in Iran uses the term PERSIAN. Stop using this extinct word. There is no PERSIA. If you are persian then I am from the lost city of Atlantis.
Nice video but what made you pick the absolute worst neighborhood in Tehran (and one of the worst in all of Iran) - it looks like that fucking muslim neighborhood in south tehran near that disgusting muslim arab shrine.. Next time you to Iran concentrate and an Iranian theme - that shouldn't be very hard in Iran. :-)

The british-americans have been trying to wipe Iran off the map for over a century. It is an elaborate plan which started with the colonization and de-Persianization of India in the 1800's. Then they installed radical muslim puppets in arab "countries' (like sodom hussein) and transported arabs to afghanistan to start the Taliban.Over 1 million Iranians have been murdered in the proxy-wars mostly in the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.Thank god the Taliban turned on their british american masters in time
@derNaziHunter World war 1,2, cold war, the creation of Taliban, the support of sadam hussin, all the job of USA and the west, a Christian fundamental government of the west, as an Iranian I oppose to the criminal Christian USA government. The killing of 1.3 million iraqies, 100.000 afganis, and 100,000.000 people world wide for the last 100 years. @zebel20 someday Iran will be free of the islamist regime currently oppressing the persian people. you live in the UK where, like the US, you have civil rights, human rights, and freedoms currently not enjoyed by Iranians living in their homeland. For example, and this is just a small, almost insignificant on some level example, the women in your family can dress as they please without being subjected to 99 lashes for not covering their heads. but you claim it is the US which is suppressive?

Nice Skiing & snowboarding movie m8. I wanna go and test out the Iranian mountains this winter i think. I have bean a lot in Iran, but always in the summer time for taekwondo competitions and seeing family. The ski piste is not well maintained like in the 70's, but they are good enough to have fun.
Good that you also have seen the real vieuw of Iran, than the picture that the US and EU are making from Iran. Before 1970 we where more prosperous than now.
BTW your family (especially your dad) could easily pass as tajiki-iranian although they are on the north east side of the country and you went to the west iran
Newsflash- The Hidden Imam was reportedly seen skiing at Dizin a few days ago by some youths on a chairlift. They said he was by far the best skier they had ever seen. All off a sudden he came out of nowhere at top speed and then in an instant he was gone.....
I want to go snowboarding in Iran very badly. Great video. Sadly as a White American I do not know how I would be welcomed, and I would understand if it would be with hostility.
But doesn't matter anyway I cannot afford it ;)
Although 7 USD a day sounds great, however with the plummeting dollar I am sure it is a little bit more now.
Thanks for the video, it put me in a very good mood.
As for the poster who mentioned our MSM, it's so corrupt, it has essentially become a form of mind control.
It is $70.00 a day, and Americans are greeted with great hospitality, I am sure if you come accross fanatics & speak against them you will see hostility but it is not different than being an Iranian in US dealing with a red kneck, In Iran you will find 97% of the people would help you, support you & show you hospitality you are not use to.
Iranians are not aware that most Americans are bigots against most people. They think Americans are hospitable
Every country has a bad and a good side, as depicted in this film. Although I dunno how to ski, its good to see the everyday iranian without having politics intertwined with it all.
perfect, thank u the only mistake is that the last slope shown in the video is called darbadsar and not Darband Shah. Both Shemshak and Darbandsar are about 2500 meters above the see level and the direct line for skiing is 2 kms. They are about 45 minutes from Tehran. Dizin is at about 3000 meters above the sea and it 5 kms width and 5kms direct line for skiing. I have been skiing around the world and Those are the nicest places specially for a professional skiers.
@xmizzmcrx Iran has more than 3 times the amount of flora and fauna than the United States. Isn't that amazing taking into consideration the size of each country? By the way this video is spectacular...well done.
no it's not near the equator,if you go to iran on the spring:In tehran and Cemtral parts is spirng,in the north west is winter, and in the south it's summer!
Can't ask for better conditions on those slopes then that! I wanted to dive into that powder myself. Thank you for showing what it is really like there and the stupidity of our governments.
Awesome documentary! You made it well; watching it was like drinking a Pina Colada; so smooth & delicious! Inside Tehran, at this side of Alborz facing the city , there is another ski resort called Touchal. I really enjoyed skiing there the only time i went there! Overall, thank you!
Iran used to be a VERY fun place to live in and visit, fully of friendly and happy people. Then the American CIA and British MI6, started Operation Green Belt, and decided to import a mob of moslim sand negros into the country and turn it into an arab middle eastern state. They did the same to afghanistan with the "taliban". Over 1 million iranians and countless afghanis have been murdered by Operation Green Belt & America/Europe's pathetic cold war terrorism operations.
and bod away if you thinking about iran leaders they just there and they chat shit and we know they do but and we dont give a shit about them somtimes you see som stuff on the tely but people go there and say those stuff just to get free drinks :))
not evry iranian say my stuff most of them they just dont care but i think thats bad if that happends alot of iraninas if you go there they will welcome you and give you best support but........
and bod away why do we want you guys in our country if you want to we are not against you but not to live in there devolped countrys they look like hell its polition and raining sky and black sea
so i am always scared if that happend to my country so because make sure that dont happend :) .................
first able we dont need to show the world what we have second why would we evrywhere the euprops and and the american goes they will royend that country like they will
i mean az a iranina i dont want anybody frome outside because like when they black guys came to england or america they will tern that country to gang banging
you know what, guys? (the Iranians) - what you really need is - to show the world what you have there. Not to hide it, to show - just make people come to visit you and see your country. Monuments, old cities, persian artifacts, skiing too.
Shortly speaking, you need marketing. And once people go to Iran and see how it is inside, a lot of problems will disappear just like that.
Remember Russia was the "bad guy" 20 years ago; now it's opened and.... :)
You first got rid of our democratic leader because he nationalized the countries oil and now you want to get of this leader??/ I think you need to get rid of your pathetic foreign policy then come to the table to negotiate
I think you need to get rid of your pathetic assumptions of where I'm from and what little we have to with Iraq or Iran. All I can see is that Iran is lead by a religious nutjob that thrive on a political majority that devoutly wish for an apocalyptic battle with the Jews which they think will presage the coming of the "Hidden Imam". I claim the right to consider that beneath my contempt.
So where are you from?? And lets try not change subject here, first who overthrew the democratic Iranian leader and who decided it was time for Shah to go since he did not want to extend the oil contracts for $10 a barrell?? Who thought that if Khomeni comes into power just maybe they can negotiate with him and try to get cheaper oil??? Iran already has nuke and if any changes need to be made to the government, this time the people will do it and ENOUGH OF USA MEDDLING!
You're right. Isn't that what I said: "Good. So get rid of your leaders. We're tired of them too!"? That's what I meant -- you the people have to get rid of your stupid leaders. What did you get all excited and jump on me for?
I'm alarmed that even youth blogger movements are being systematically suppressed by your regime. Bad sign.
Screw whoever calls us terrorists. You gotta be an absolute moron to say such things so go to hell.
I don't live there but love the people. Unfortunately that beautiful country is in wrong hands. The regime is there to destroy it. All the nasty things are intentional and planned. Look at it, everyone benefits from Iran being in a mess, Neighboring countries for trade and tourism, USA for selling arms to them, Russia to put pressure on the rest, Israel to be a happy puppy of USA. go figure.
THX 4 this vid :D it was awesome, thx for letting the world know iran is not wat they think it is and theres actually more to it then just "Stuff" that they think :] 5/5!
This was a great little documentary. I am definitely interested in knowing more about the real people and places of Iran. Governments create wars between us, not people.
Reporters Without Borders' silent as Iranian reporter executed
When Mirnehad's death sentence was handed down Iranian blogger Rotten Gods pointed out:
He is not a terrorist he is just a reporter being accused by Iranian regime for terrorism! Iranian regime has a long history of planting evidence against opponent of regime & here in the middle, journalists and media are the most innocent victims of Islamic regimes hostility towards people & freedom of speech
Female Journalist in Iran Gang-raped, tortured, skull fractured, and killed
A doctor employed at Bagheeyehollah Hospital in Tehran (connected with the revolutionary guards) where Zahra Kazemi, deceased Iranian/Canadian photojournalist was transferred before dying, left Iran and for the first time, in an interview with a German publication divulged that the regime's interogators and goons had brutally gang-raped the photojournalist while she was also under torture
The end of July saw Iran's judiciary adding "accidental fall" and "hunger strike" to the list of alleged causes for Kazemi's death. They claimed that Kazemi had gone on a hunger strike voluntarily, developed low blood pressure that made her dizzy, fallen, and hit her head. Detractors point out that this story does not explain her broken bones, genital injuries or skin lacerations.

Just came across this video and must say that I was mesmerized by the mountains of Iran. I really enjoyed how you incorporated the propaganda about Iran in the film as well. The film really makes me want to venture out of the U.S. and visit a place like Iran for the skiing. Was it easy to arrange a trip and get out there?
some advice for the guy in the black: if you want to become better....turn you hips inward as you edge. also try pole planting and keeping your hands out in front more. this will make you be able to keep you balance + stability easier.
Sorry, that's the country you brought full democracy to: IRAQ. No electricity, running water, and smashed infra-structure, but they have democarcy! they love Americans too, good enough to throw shoes at.
so say that u dont wanna ski! u want something else,u can get that everywhere u want;) iran is just for those who can think and decide for themselves not those cowards who listen to the media!

Iran has the potential to be in the top 5 tourism countries in the world. Give me the keys to the country and I will show an income far greater than that of the oil!
There are quite a few Western travellers here already, Iran is very safe except eastern border areas. I have even met solo European women here (backpackers). There is really nothing to stop you visiting now. Irish are especially welcome.
As an Iranian I promise you that traveling to Iran is totally safe. The costs are even lower than what you can imagine. For example, you can hire a room at a regular hotel for only $40 a night.
greeeeat, full of emotions , iran da ginues country , there is a heartwranching quality in iran sequences. i love my country foreverrrrrrrrrr............

sodia1 2 years ago
good for you :)
you know what, guys? (the Iranians) - what you really need is - to show the world what you have there. Not to hide it, to show - just make people come to visit you and see your country. Monuments, old cities, persian artifacts, skiing too.
Shortly speaking, you need marketing. And once people go to Iran and see how it is inside, a lot of problems will disappear just like that.
Remember Russia was the "bad guy" 20 years ago; now it's opened and.... :)
Cheers from Poland

I'm from Iran and I know there mountains are beautiful and should be visited. The leader may be bad but the country is like a swan
yomamasapeach 2 years ago
Good. So get rid of your leaders. We're tired of them too!
geodesicks 2 years ago
dude you dont go to iran to see the leaders lol
you dont give damn about them you just go and have fun lol
sodia1 2 years ago
Don't care about the leader. It's the mountains that are stunning. they are beautiful!!! Yes the leader sucks but forget about it
yomamasapeach 2 years ago
You first got rid of our democratic leader because he nationalized the countries oil and now you want to get of this leader??/ I think you need to get rid of your pathetic foreign policy then come to the table to negotiate
farshid71 2 years ago
I think you need to get rid of your pathetic assumptions of where I'm from and what little we have to with Iraq or Iran. All I can see is that Iran is lead by a religious nutjob that thrive on a political majority that devoutly wish for an apocalyptic battle with the Jews which they think will presage the coming of the "Hidden Imam". I claim the right to consider that beneath my contempt.
geodesicks 2 years ago
So where are you from?? And lets try not change subject here, first who overthrew the democratic Iranian leader and who decided it was time for Shah to go since he did not want to extend the oil contracts for $10 a barrell?? Who thought that if Khomeni comes into power just maybe they can negotiate with him and try to get cheaper oil??? Iran already has nuke and if any changes need to be made to the government, this time the people will do it and ENOUGH OF USA MEDDLING!
farshid71 2 years ago
You're right. Isn't that what I said: "Good. So get rid of your leaders. We're tired of them too!"? That's what I meant -- you the people have to get rid of your stupid leaders. What did you get all excited and jump on me for?
I'm alarmed that even youth blogger movements are being systematically suppressed by your regime. Bad sign.
geodesicks 2 years ago
Screw whoever calls us terrorists. You gotta be an absolute moron to say such things so go to hell.
I don't live there but love the people. Unfortunately that beautiful country is in wrong hands. The regime is there to destroy it. All the nasty things are intentional and planned. Look at it, everyone benefits from Iran being in a mess, Neighboring countries for trade and tourism, USA for selling arms to them, Russia to put pressure on the rest, Israel to be a happy puppy of USA. go figure.

I agree, I would love to visit Iran but as an Irish Westerner, i better leave it for another decade or two!
Jambost 3 years ago
There are quite a few Western travellers here already, Iran is very safe except eastern border areas. I have even met solo European women here (backpackers). There is really nothing to stop you visiting now. Irish are especially welcome.

What about visa's and the cost of overnight stay?

Hi,
As an Iranian I promise you that traveling to Iran is totally safe. The costs are even lower than what you can imagine. For example, you can hire a room at a regular hotel for only $40 a night.
