yea... thats actually a good thing. I remember when i used to play table tennis. So when someone got really nervous they tend to hit the table with the rackets. But couch forbid it, because it is not wise to break a table or your racket. Instead he suggested to hit yourself with a racket:D In this case he was just avoiding to break the clock, maybe :=)

This was a game from several years ago(1995ish). Digital chess clocks weren't popular at that time.

@Warcrazy911 man thats how I was when I first started playing with a clock, the newly added element of time completely freaked me out so I would just move quickly out of fear of running out of time at the expense of well thought out moves.... if you just play enough blitz you learn how to remain calm even severe time constraint, blitz taught me that and its amazing how this skill even helps me at work now..... best of luck :D
