  • Brian is the GOLDEN STONE : )

Sure I love Jagger & Richards etc but Brian will always be my Number 1 favorite : )..

  • LONG LIVE BRIAN JONES! Fuck Mick "the murderer" Jagger, Ugly bastard. In my opinion Jones is, and always will be The Rolling Stone, everything after is torture to my ears.

  • GIMME MICK!!

  • I'm 14 and married to Brian. Your argument is invalid.

  • I hate how that guy ignore Charlie when they're introducing themselves.

  • what did brian mean by american attitudes does anybody know?

  • @g00dguyforyou certain prejudices and probably conservative attitudes towards the music they played I'm guessing

  • Bill Wyman looks absolutely beautiful here. I love his smile. It's so cute!

  • Mick is looking fiiiine. As always. Looks like he wants to be doing the talking though lol.

  • 1:48 it looks like Mick has no body

  • No wonder the glimmer twins were glad to get rid of Brain Jones, he seems to have all the brains.

  • they all have interesting heads.

  • brian jones, "they thought tamla motown was a person".

  • Brian was so well spoken

  • Aha it's nice to see Mick not as the main man It was Brian's Band!

  • charlie watts is one of the coolest fuckers ever

  • Awesome!

  • I'll be nice to go to a rolling stone concert while holding up a banner that reads BRIAN JONES!

  • If Brian wrote more songs and beat less women, he might have made it...

  • brian was so lovely Respond to this video...

  • When will people finally realize that Brian WAS THE STONES. The leader and driving force behind their music. Fuck Brenda and the Satanic dope fiend, miss richards.

  • It is so obvious that Brian was the leader in those early days. No wonder Jagger was jealous.

  • Lets just forget about Charlie!

  • you can see the early problems bubbling up here... mick, keith & brian seemed needy, petulant thus their egos were battling... that said, you also see the intelligence and ainmbition these guys. its easy to understand along w/ their talents why they rose to the force they did. but its sadly also easy to understand the clashes, gravely in the case of brian. Here jones is still clearly the leader & actually the most savvy. sadly w/ in 3 years he would go into meltdown.

  • @kelvinkloud Also consider how young they were, just kids! Most people are egotistical and moody and competitive in our early 20's. here's was just more visible because of their fame, hehehe.

  • Is keith rolling a joint?

  • charlie watts=Badass

  • ya Jones is cool but i dont think the others like how he answers every question

  • easy to see the leader in this group

  • All right, I will settle this. Brian Jones founded the band. Musically, he was great. His fashion, and demeanor to the press, were great. The only issue was of course, the emotional problems which also cause him to not be nice to bandmates, according to interviews of other Stones. And he could not handle the fame of a pop star, according to Jagger. Personally, I like the Jones era the best of all Stones material.

  • The comments that ever since Brian died Mick and Keith fought for power over the group are such bullshit. Brian was amazing in his talents and ability to form the band but his songwriting capabilities were less than stellar and therefore the glimmer twins took over that and Brian felt as though he had been knocked off his perch. Keith and Mick only really had issues with each other once the 80s came along, so by then they were like an old married couple and of course they were going to fight.

  • I love Brian. Always my favorite Stone.

  • brian jones ♥

  • 0:34 Charle Watts (REMEBER ME!)

  • Why is he dissing the US?

  • @kschoeck because Americans are ignorant people

  • Yeah it's pretty obvious no matter how much Keith and Mick try to rewrite history it was Brian Jones who was the original leader responsible for forming and running the group. Brian was a musical genius whose constitution wasn't good for drugs.

  • @LiraNuna WORD!

  • I really love Brian's voice.

  • Brian was a good leader.Mick and keith just fight for power

  • @pedwell Mick was a rich bitch.....

  • what did charlie watts say at the end? good interview, bad interviewer

  • @gr8vibes2 He said "Perhaps Mick would like to answer", because Mick was making fun of him.

  • Ironical how everyone says Brian was so unpleasant miserable and upset people eaisily yet look here, he is quite the opposite - in fact he appears to be the friendliest of the group! Yes I know they say he got worse later on, but still.

  • Charlie answers every question with the detail it deserves :-)

  • I think Brian has a lovely voice, hahahah.

  • Brian seemed quite honest and inteligent to me!

  • Its ashame, Brian was a genius... But he was incapable of being in a band, Keith tried his hardest out of everyone to help him.

  • Ha ha! It looks like Keith was sitting on Charlie's lap

  • @Maverikk68 ???? are you nuts or something?

  • @lachanteuse1 Wow... you must be an idiot!!

  • @Maverikk68 little empathy.

  • @Maverikk68 shuttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt tttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup about any of them show respect bitch, to rock legends.

  • @Maverikk68 ....whats the matter with you? STOP HATIN.

  • @Maverikk68 eat shit n' die mofo!

  • @Maverikk68

No way. Brian had serious psychological issues that got in the way of his musical talent. He got caught up by fame and never really dealt with it. Are you saying people like Hendrix or Joplin are inferior artists merely because they died at a young age?

  • @ciaobellakate Have no idea how you got that from what I said, or how you can't put it together for yourself that Jones being inferior doesn't translate into Hendrix and Joplin being inferior. They both made it on their own talent. Did Jones? No? Not even when he had The Rolling Stones on his resume! I rest my case!

  • @Maverikk68

It seemed to me as though you think he died because he was kicked out of the band for not having enough talent, which is crap. He could played practically any instrument you can name. They lost a shitload of talent when he died.

  • @ciaobellakate He wasn't great at any instrument. Maybe the harmonica, which is one of the easiest things to play. And I never said anything about him dying because he was booted out. His drug addiction and depression stemmed from his insecurities within the band. He couldn't handle how Mick and Keith taking control of the band because their talent level far surpassed his, and he couldn't compete.

  • @Maverikk68

You are so full of shit. 'He wasn't great at any instrument.' He could play all of these: Guitar, harmonica, keyboards, Appalachian dulcimer, trumpet, trombone, mellotron, sitar, tambura, recorder, saxophone, percussion, autoharp, marimba, slide guitar, clavinet, oboe, banjo, clarinet, piano, steel-string acoustic guitar, xylophone, organ, flute, accordion, cello, theremin. His depression did not stem from the band, it was exacerbated by it and eventually he cracked.

  • @ciaobellakate Very well said!! he was a GENIUS!! also note how all these instruments were included in songs released! not just "ooh he could play that a bit"! he played them all expertly!! Its interesting thinking how if he received the help drug addicts, schizophrenia victims, bi polar victims all receive now - back then no one knew what was wrong :( very sad as you can tell here he had the world in his hands

  • @Spiderrico123

It's crazy to think how musically talented he was. He really was a genius. Yeah, it's a tragic story. There just wasn't any help for a guy like him, whether it be for his emotional issues or his drug addiction. Also, his band mates didn't understand and they probably gave him a harder time than he deserved because he was so fragile. These days he'd be shipped off to rehab, be put under the care of a shrink and never have died at such a young age.

  • @Maverikk68 "He wasn't great at any instrument" Define "great". It seems like you have misunderstood his role in the band. His drug addiction and depression didn't stemmed from his insecurites within the band. But there was a connection later on. Brian could handle that Mick Keith & Oldham took control but he never liked it. That's two different things and talent - yes, the glimmers were talented song writers - Brian was the talented musician. He even saved some of the songs with his addings.

  • @Maverikk68 "This comment has received too many negative votes" I guess the truth hurts. with out the writing ability of mick and keith the stones would have been just another group from the 60's

  • @hobieslug45 Well I guess we have got a paradox here as without Jones the group wouldn't have happened at all

  • charlie was bored as shit and keith was getting pissy

  • Intriguing- thanks for posting....

  • lol Brian wanted to be the main guy, but he was the only one who wanted that, because he is too opiniated and self obsessed.

  • God this is good!!! Thanks for posting!!

  • Did Keith told Brian to shut up at 2:26?

  • @9carva Yeah...Jones was a very articulate person ,and was used to ,Jagger & Richards taking the mickey out of him.No big deal though. Jones could still handle that. That was going to change in a few years though.

Still...it was that gift that helped him organise the birth of The Rolling Stones.

  • THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!

  • lol keiths voice sounds so completely different. he sounds so innocent lol

  • Are they smoking pot on the vid?

  • @lenrfrjyatnrfq I dont' think Canadian TV would allow it, specially in the early 60s, everybody knows what pot smells like

  • Charlie has been disinterested from 1964 to this day

  • @fenderboy211 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Ah! I've never heard Brian talk before (probably because I never thought to look up an interview *facepalm*) but goodness his voice is just ace! His looks, his voice, his humour, everything was just great. He's the best Stone, by far. (And the best looking if I do say so myself!)

  • @tasteofmadness I agree Brian was great!

  • @tasteofmadness and one of THE best for fashion, in any band

  • charlie and bill lol why am i laughing

  • @amrice Probably because they look so bored.

  • @amrice

The poor rhythm section. We NEVER get the interest from the media. LOL

  • Thank you for this rarity! Brian was the leader in the early years, funny how everyone's position on the sofa, when you know what happens afterwards, the conflicts, the takeover by Mick and Keith, etc.

  • fucking hell. Brian Jones was the Rolling stones. Just watch "Charlie was my Darling". Those guys were just a bunch of spotty fucking monkees, Brian made them realise that you had to have class to be it man..

  • @cottageorgan so true!! brian carried them through the early stages... the london clubs even told him to get rid of the singer!!

  • quiero subtitulos al español ya que no entendi nada :(

  • @tampikosita

totalmente de acuerdo, esta entrevista es epica

  • Wow...it's weird to see how Brian dominates the interview.

  • wow! thanks for uploading... never seen this interview before!! You can really see how 64-66 brian was the most popular by a mile! you can also see why bill and charlie weren't as popular! look at them they look like they dont wanna be there and don't even answer their questions!!

  • This is incredible, Thankyou :}
