Just came back from his first concert in Masquerade- Atlanta it was GREAT. We bought all 4 cds, too bad they did not have any tee shirts...Tickets were only $12...shame, but Jackie will be filling big arenas soon. Jackie thank you for signing my sons hat and cds.
Jackie has a lot of Dylan-esque songs kylobeto, with nods towards both Jacob and Bob. If you were familiar with Bobs finger-picking styles, it may be easier to see the similarities. There are many other influences like the stones. Try comparing shawn colvins "sunny came home" to jackie's "shaken." His newest single Medicine shades Cobain.
All that being said Jackie is my favorite artist right now and it is a blessing for a 26 year old to have a modern folk musician producing great music!
This guy is overflowing with origonality and talent. Those IDIOTS that say it reminds them of Dylan pull your heads out of your sphincters and look past the harmonica on his neck, which is the only resemblance to Dylan he has, not that that is by any means an insult. Thank you Jackie Greene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@kylobeto100... There are lots of similarities to Dylan. Look at early photos of each. Their both bluesmen who write great music and get lumped into folk categories because the general public doesn't know any better. It's not the harmonica.
I love how there is a bumm looking guy in the background over ti his left LOLOLOL this is a WONDERFUL recording ....nice camera work .....i wanna know what kinda camera you used toooo !!!
AWESOME!!!!!

Jackie's music seems like it is a unique blend of blue grass, folk, and blues.

It's fun to see him do this song when he was younger...
