Iran has the largest Jewish community outside Israel most Orthodox do not recognize the State of Israel. Ethnic cleansing of Jews in Iran is not known to me. I think that a Persian Jew is culturally closer to an Iranian Muslim then to a western influenced Jew. Christians have also different tendencys with different interpretations of salvation. Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, evangelical, catholics which sometimes takes crude form. Thus, Jews have their different religious teachings.

What upsets me is that some folk believe that all 13,500,000 Jews on the planet are like that.
