  • The ruck is actually British.

  • I love ruger, but wish they weren't having the QC issues lately because I'd love to have one of those mini-14s.

  • @iraqveteran8888 im a 14 yold american citizen living in australia, when i turn 18 im joining the usmc, so the question i have is when you get in can you use equipment like sights a that you buy or do you get them from the military, thanks for your time awsome video SEMPER FI

  • Surprised youtube allows these kinds of videos - "rogue government" watch out you might be on one of those secret government "kill lists"!

  • Your lucky man if something happend here we would have no Semi auto no Pistols and no pump action the weather is 80% hotter and theres no water for days :L Fuck Australia lol

  • Hey we have the same packs, Pack Bros!

  • ALICE or MOLLE?

  • i bring lots of undies incase a zombie scares the piss out of me

  • Ya need wool, not cotton socks and clothes.

  • Thanks for that intro... now i have to pee

  • water is what weighs the most and you can never carry enuff water. you can live 50 days easy without eating a single thing and travelling 40 miles a day. but you will be dead in less than three without water. in an end of the world scenario you prob wont ever have to use your weapon all you need to do is have one. you would stand better odds if you had a "bug out "trailer camper or motor home then setting off in the woods on foot. gota think long term,

  • fucking beautiful mini 14

  • I like my 3 litre camelbak. lasted me a hot as day in the hills, then I used what was left as my pillow

  • No slings on the rifles??

    How about Food and Shelter?

  • @deaddollzombies Yes, these two rifles lack slings. I am just giving examples, that's all. Not telling people to use exactly what I am showing.

Food is discussed in another video, but I have more of this stuff coming.

  • im a type 1 diabetic and that means i need insulin from perscription. how would i survive in civil unrest?

  • @goloet note the chuck norris in a can.

  • @goloet There will still be basic infrastructure. Remember economic collapse and civil unrest isn't the same as societal collapse. Societal collapse is like zombies or nuke war. Yes then you might be fucked. Civil unrest is like greece right now. Economic collapse was like Argentina a few years back. But economic collapse, or civil unrest you should be fine. Pharmacies and hospitals will still be open just like everything else because its then more than ever we will need to keep our jobs.

  • @OperationThor lol i remember arguing with a socialist about how our debt is going to cause civil unrest and societal break down. about 18 months ago his reply was "shrug greece portugal ireland and italy all have debts greater than their GNP and they seem to be doing fine. when something happens to them THEN ill start worrying. i wonder if hes worring now or is he mincing his hands together going "gooood....gooooood...everything is going according to plan mu ha ha ha ha mu ha mu ha ah ha...."

  • Got me 2 CFP90's one i'll keep as an internal the other i'm modifying to an external frame for more capabilities, the beauty of these 2 rucks is they come with the patrol pack for my food supply & detatch to hoist up in the ol tree tops,lol,..Really find alot of common sense in your vids,..Awesome presentation as all your other vids...

  • I would carry my ole Garand til the end lol. It may not be as reliable as the modern weaponry, but there's just somethin about that gun

  • @pagewannabe13

I don't quite understand where you find the M1 Garand unreliable. They're powerful, accurate, simple, and user-friendly. As far as modern guns go, I have way more trouble with them than the old WW1 and WW2 era weapons. That includes the AK. They DO jam just like every other gun if they are not properly maintained, but they are much easier to maintain. As an example, I fired an

AK-47 that jammed 6 times within 25 rounds because the gas tube hadn't been cleaned. Every gun jams.

  • @SomeRandomSomething I wasn't talking about the M1 in general, but MY Garand. The rifling is starting to smooth out, and of course, it hardly shoots the same place twice! I know that most M1's are great "the greatest battle implement ever devised" but mine has just seen plenty of use!

  • For those load bearing vests, would the pockets for 30 round m4 mags hold any m1a rifle magazines?

  • For a weapon, I would suggest a modern AK-103 with the 5.56 caliber "poison bullets" that includes a scope, laser sight, and extended 40 round banana magazines or the 75 bullet capacity drums, and a bayonet. Then an effective and durable side arm, a colt would be preferable. Then a multitool plus trench knife, and depending on the environment a light weight hatchet, or machete, or even a tomahawk all of which can be used for survival or defense. Then some flares, and a military grade torch.

  • @davedavedaveannoy1

When you say "poison bullet," I believe you are talking about the Russian 5.45x39mm round that is used in the AK-74 variants, and not the 5.56x45mm, or .223 Remmington for civilians, that is used in the AR series of rifles. But I agree with your suggestions on carrying an AK variant in 5.45x39mm with the bayonet, drum, and scope, but not necessarily the laser sight. I would prefer a flashlight or night vision device. I also agree with carrying a Colt .45 M1911.

  • SOOO SCARY!!!!! LOL All I got to do is get to my dads land and shoot zombies

  • isn't the rucksack british? it look slike a PLCE (standard british issue) pack and it has british DPM camo. Germans always use flecktarn.

  • The kel-tec sub rifle would be a GREAT thing to have in your pack!

the thing folds up for storage they make it in 9mm and 40. i believe. They can take glock mags i believe which might be nice if you have to scavenge off of dead people considering how popular the glock is .

  • you dont neeed all those things, what you need is Chuck Norris

  • You didn't hear about the new "Chuck in a can"?

  • before you bother to get all that shit, maybe you all should see if you can walk 20k with jest ur water! cuz if you cant it will be those who can that will be picken thru whats left on ur carcas

  • In a combat situation, I would pack as light as possible, but for most situations, I wouldn't even carry half of this stuff.

I'm just giving a basic break down of some of the things people may want to consider thats all.

I do agree with you though. Most people can't even walk by themselves, let alone strapping on 45 pounds of ruck.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 i like how you give reasons for things instead of narrow options for a select few situation. you seem to be a well rounded individual and it makes your listeners respect you more as a teacher and as a person. so many times have i asked for advice (because im paranoid of political unrest) and they say "buy a gun and shoot their balls off!" thankyou

  • @echelonexcursions i walked 125 miles with one gallon of water 2 liter of soda two 24oz cans of beer. a canteen of water. a six pack of soda. three cans of chillie. a 22 pistol. a ar-15 with 50 rounds extra. extra underwear a candle a lighter can opener tent back pack and sleeping bag. with miscl other crap. it weighed about 70 lbs the first day and it took me four days. and i ran out of water the last 30 miles

  • @markbotv3 uh no

  • @supportgenocide35 I agree with you that all extremist and racist should be put in camps. I say we start with all the jews . Then the gays. then the blacks. Then the Mexicans. Then the cripples. Now do you see what a stupid comment you made hmm...? Who are you to decide who is extreme or racist? You are just as bad but to dumb to realize it.

  • @jmurdainc88

    Exactly...

  • Right wing nazi militias need to be dealt with before they can cause harm. in an unrest situation people need to be broguht togeter, not killing in streets

  • Yeah...brought together....Right into a concentration camp....

  • Well all racist and extremist need to be put into a concentration camp so we can move foreward

  • @supportisrael35

I didn't say anything about being racist or being an extremist. There is nothing wrong with being prepared. "Political unrest" can mean possibly the government not being to respond to a disaster, or a natural disaster displacing people who need help.

People like you automatically assume that people like me a on the extreme or racist side.

Tell me this: Move forward to what?

  • @Iraqveteran8888 a better world I guess? although his name supportisrael does sound like an extreme supporter of Israel making himself an enemy of himself

  • you just do what ever CNN and the nice Obama man tells you, okay?

  • Exactly...lol

  • Your defenaintly one of my favorites if not my most favorite youtube that produces these kinds of videos. I like how you actually know what your talking about, like when you said your not going to take on a large group of people with your AK 47, its smarter to carry a light, mobile and rapid firing gun like you mentioned. (Guerilla style warfare) You have my support and subscription.

  • Another great video. I really liked the text you added in about the 22lr. The under-rated 22 has a lot going for it . Some of its best qualities are that its realitively quiet and you can carry 500 rounds pretty easy. One option I use and have heard others talk about is mixing it up. Have one heavy and one lighter caliber. Like a 300 win mag rifle and a 22lr handgun or 22lr rifle and the 1911 in 45acp as a handgun. Just random thoughts. Thanks for the video and more importantly for your service

  • @ThePatriot1861

I think tht the one with the mosy .22 will come out on top.

Think about it....I can shoot a man from 300 yards with well placed .22 LR shots and I can carry 1000's upon 1000's of rounds....

  • I agree. Also when it comes to food gathering there are alot more small game on the trail than there is big game. I have seen well placed shots with a 22 LR take down large cattle. I knew a guy that worked in a slaughter house that only used a single shot 22 rifle and 22 short ammo.

  • The .22 is a very versitle little cartridge.

Within 100 yards, I could kill the crap out of a deer with one.

  • I Would recommend a gun chamber in

.223/.308 just because if SHTF there is going to be plenty from the gov.

I also think that a rifle musket would be a good investment cos you can easily make ammo for it with recycle materials.

    Just my .02$

  • @bigbattles

Yeah a .223 or .308 is a good choice for sure.

Also, with pistols, can't go wrong with NATO calibers like 9x19mm

  • yes you are right. The nbc suites are really cheap though. I found some at yard sales for a buck everyone hated them lol. I inlisted in the military in my junior year of high school 1983 split option I got out in 1990 bio warfare was a big thing back then but now I don't know I imagine the equipment also changed. I was in the 28th division mos 13 bravo gun bunny. Take care

  • Also teach them about caches and how too set up supply points. If they know how too survive a nuclear and biological they well have the cat by the ass! Take care

  • @The1970lemans

I have some videos planned for both cahces and NBC related stuff.

I just haven't gotten the money to go to the Police Supply store and pick up a can of OC.

    That stuff isn't cheap.

  • Your survival equipment is ok if you are on a camping or hunting trip but if the shit ever goes down your in trouble! I'm not trying too say your items are not important. But I believe you should include a video on nuclear and biological situations because the enemy who ever they are are not going too waste their time having a shoot out with you! Teach them about the proper filters for the gasmask and how to make an nbc suit These are very important.

  • @The1970lemans

    Baby steps to start with.

What you are talking about is a whole other can of worms.

    NBC protection is important, yes.

  • I liked the video, but i ask if there is any changes that would be good for the urban and suburban needs. I live 25 miles from DC so a lot of this would not work for the city. Any thing that should be added of taken away.

My Father was Green Berets in the Vietnam War and talked about this type of thing while i grow up. I thought he was a little nuts till I moved next to DC. With Bush and now Obama i have stared to think about it. He said to carry only .22 caliber for only 2 guns though.Ideas?

  • @eviljagtech

I feel sorry for you if you live that close to DC.

You'll be right in the middle of all the crap. Urban environments are a lot harder to survive in IMO.

You have to be a little more cut throat.

It's not like you can kill animals to eat....

  • Thats when you get to your, or any back yard, get a noose, and use the noose to catch a squirrel, I've done it, skinned the thing, and cooked it. Kinda gamey, but tasted somewhat like rabbit.

  • by the way condoms make good water containers if placed inside a sock learned it from this book i read that dealt with combat and survival

  • Quick question please. FLIR will be widely used. It is my understanding that the summer BDU is capable of having a lower than normal signature when worn. Is my information correct? If not...what would you suggest? Just cover it all up?

  • Are you referring to hear signature?

I am going to discuss more things about night stuff in up coming videos.

Remember the modern Army owns the night...

  • Yes. The heat signature is exactly what I'm talking about. I look forward to these vids. Night stuff is the only thing I really have concern over. As you say...our military owns the night. Hopefully they won't be used against us one day. (unless it is to help) :)

  • I would hope that the Army remembers who they serve and what they took an oath to defend!

I took my oath very seriously.

Stay tuned, I have tons of things to talk about.

  • I look forward to them. Thanks.

  • as to that theres nothing some old ripped up bdus and some mre heaters cant fix :] make a dummy XD

  • @warriorofsteel01

That's not a bad idea in the right circumstances.

  • "... rouge government, whatever" --epic :)

  • Yeah I have a way with words, but it is what it is, right?

  • Absolutely, I am far more concerned about our Constitution's "domestic enemies" than the foreign ones at this point. We haven't been good stewards of the liberty that our founders bequiffed to us. We will have to earn it back ourselves one day or live on our knees as serfs. I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death.

  • The Constitution is the law of the land...period.

Failure to uphold the Constitution is an act of treason.

  • as for the rucksack that looks like either dutch or british disruptive pattern material (camoflage)

  • I agree....I went back to the Army Navy store and looked at them. Probably British. Will confirm though.

  • I say that if it works for you then use it.

The M91/30 is a good rifle. Not an ultra fast rate of fire, but pretty accurate. One of the things I've always loved so much about the Mosin, is it is very easy to gunsmith.

  • 5*'s here. Great vid.

  • Thanks LJ

  • no its birtish taht bag is but awesome vids

  • I see the AR mags, but where's the AR? And you have the ability to carry 180 rounds on the LBV itself. Great vid though, nice to see that others are preparing for the coming collapse. Gave five star review!

  • Thanks for the good rating.

Don't own an AR or care to.

All my buddies swear by them. I just happen to have a butt load of mags for it.

I will likely buy another couple of ARs just as an investment, but as a combat arm, I perfer the Garand.

  • I Do all the time, but obviously "im retarded".............. people think its a joke down here, and im from alabama, like wtf?

  • PM sent

  • You must understand that the public discussion of these topics is not recommended.

The best thing I can tell you is to be kind to everyone you meet, and discover like minded people.

Bring up a topic like the "health care bill" and see how people react.

You'll know when you meet someone that is "sick and tired"

  • anybody who is in NC i would gladly point them to the right people

ps i think my M1969 .22 and my M24/48 in 8mm would be sufficient for most field situations except the heft Great vid BTW

  • I agree. Both the rifles you mentioned are great choices.

Now is the time for us to unite and prepare, as well as inform those that are ignorant.

  • what if your 16 and you cant buy like.. semi's, or automatics... because your parents dont trust you, then what do you do?

  • In my professional nineteen year old Seattleite opinion, perhaps try a independent libertarian Christian with a few guns and a survivalist complex.

  • just my gear.

Remmie 870 with folding stock, ak47 type

(I love my VZ58 ) and my trusty G17 and in the backpack my buckmark .22lr with silencer. I think I will be overloaded ;p

  • Sounds about right!

I like the AK47 varient. Very robust and fairly accurate for what it is meant to be used for.

  • @robin6512 VZ58 is hardly an AK47 type rifle =\

  • Really? What would you like to call it than.

  • A vz 58 is a vz58. Mechanically, no parts of the 58 are interchangeable with an AK47. The action of the 58 is different as well, and the 58 cannot accept AK magazines.

  • I think Robin is more or less referring to the profile, handling, and intention of the rifle compared to the AK. The VZ58 is much better rifle than the AK IMO.

Only downside is there aren't as commen.

  • maybe a tactical/ survival knife of some sort and a radio and walkie talkie

  • @assaultrecon28

Knives and tools are covered in part 1.

A small radio is a great idea to tune in to potential announcements.

Walkie Talkies are great to stay in touch with your pals.

  • I'll take a bowie type and a little ax.

  • I like a knife I can strike with out bending or breaking it.

  • I have a Winchester 1897 Trench Gun. Could that take the place of a mid-range rifle?

Also, would you recomend foot powder along with extra pairs of socks?

  • @Mossy500A

Eh....that might be pushing it. The 1897 is more of a close range combat weapon against multiple foes in tight quarters.

If you want a mid-range rifle and don't want to spend tons of buck, pick up a Handi Rifle is 45-70 or whatever caliber you want. .308 would be a good caliber fot it.

Foot powder is a MUST....I didn't mention it in the video.

  • powder for yur feet and balls

  • i probably wouldn't carry the 1911, dont get me wrong its a great weapon im a big fan. but i would probably go with a Glock simply because of its ruggedness, the 1911 can be finicky.

    great video, very good info.

  • @ZombieSlayer762

I hear you there. Everyone has their preference. Glocks are great. Personally, I like a 1911 more, but it's what im used to.

  • I would suggest a Henry AR-7 for an extra .22 because they're light (2 or 3 lbs), relatively cheap($190- $250 depending where you get it),and they are fairly small and portable when broken down and stored but can be ready to go in 20 - 30 seconds. However id say if youve already got a rifle to use that works by all means use it. Anyway just a suggestion and thanks for the series.

  • @MrDominex98

Good information for the good of the group Mrdominex98...I completely agree.

I'd carry a 10/22 just because it's cheap, light, and handy, but that is the nice thing about .22s....they are cheap and plentiful.

    Marlin Model 60- $99!

(I will be reviewing a brand new one ASAP)

  • Reference that LBV, I sewed velcro on the pockets & flaps to accomodate the 30 rd AK mags. They fit tight, but I like that. Thanks for the great videos. And thanks for your military service.

  • Thanks for sharing your results. I actually didn't have the chance to try it, so thanks.

    Thanks for the support.

  • This is a great series you have here! Thank you for making it!

  • Sure thing. Thanks for the support.

  • "In certain situations that could get you dead" :D

  • Thats right dude...

  • war... like vietnam afganistan (with the russians) iraq... what I wanna say... find them make the contact pop them until the artilery or the airforce send them to hell....

BUT what if you have to diffend? stay hold pray and save ammo... there is a log for the german army paratroopers... "the good paratrooper is the one who dont spend his ammo" or something like that... my english is not good enough

keep up the good work my friend give us your knowlege

  • If you have to defend, you'd better have a system of tunnels like the Vietcong and Japanese during WW2.

90 percent of my tactics are borrowed from the Japanese and Vietcong.

Not to mention ancient writings, and the study of battles from various points in history.

  • I have the same rucksack 38lt the original british patrol pack.... mine rucksack has the frame.... hehehehe

about the load bearing I have the plce90 with some mods... you san carry a lot of stuff you may use it as a bob for good...

yeap my men .45 rules.... my secont choise is the browning HP and the 3nd tt33... cheap and mean....

and a few words about your commend "pop a few rounds a get the hell out of there" these is for guerrila warfare or special forces operations... or the new model of...

  • I agree.

    Pop a few rounds a git....always.

  • Interesting vid. Couple of ANZAC comments:

Frame pack beats non frame any day! You'll root your back in a few days without one.

Keep yr dirty socks hanging off your webbing - cross a water obstacle, you can dunk 'em and wring 'em a few times then hang off your gear again to dry as you hump along.

No underwear - makes your crotch sweat too much = chaffing.

Carry only 1 rifle - means you can carry more rounds. Can't shoot 2 weapons at the same time.

  • Framed VS frameless is an age old argument it seems. A framed rucksack is always going to be good in the long run, but me personally, I pack light enough to not need it.

I actually meant to mention your sock suggestion in the video. That's a great way to keep your socks generally clean and dry in the field.

For underwear, I like the Under Armor if I wear it at all.

The reason I say to have a .22 caliber rifle handy is for survival. Would you shoot a little critter with a 5.56?

  • Nice review ! Perhaps it's possible to carry the rifle that your not using in a gun bag strapped onto your rucksack :)

  • Absolutely!

  • Carlos Hathcock couldn't have said it better, "3 shots tops and your outta there!"

Thats usually the rule of thumb when it comes to sniping, after shot 1 they enemy scatters, 2 shots they take cover, 3 shots and they are either retreating or returning fire_neither of which is desirable.

  • Thats right buddy. Pop em' and get the hell on .

  • great series....i have to agree about the ruger 10/22...it also has a short sound range so you dont give up your position.....

  • GREAT VIDEOS! Personally I prefer to bug in. Mostly because patrols can be effective in suburban neighborhoods like mine. I've got a big old list of things I would like to keep handy. Also I would advise a nonlethal option

like pepper spray foggers or batons. Just my 2 cents. Keep these great videos coming!.

  • Hey this is a great series so far. Can't wait to see the rest.

  • : )

  • Cant wait to see parts 4,5,6,7 and 8 lol. Hope you make that many on this subject! I will be adding this to the thread i made for you on our forum, 1stpa-militia(dot)net. This is very useful info for some of the newer recruits that may not want to just sit and read through our lists of survival and preparedness gear that we have listed. You do a very good job with these videos man. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks for the support. I'll be happy to get on there and answer questions or provide input. I'm not an expert, but I have some experience with this stuff.

  • ZOMBIE

  • I'd love to see a .300 WIN MAG hit a zombie's head....lol

  • I think that a more accurate gun would be more important than a fast gun, unless it was in an urban environment where you were fighting off people out to kill you... in the wilderness, I think the pistol could be just fine as your primary defense tool, just maybe use a .410 shotgun pistol for larger animals if need be.

  • I've always believed myself that the round that hits the target is the round that matters.

A little .22 walking rifle is tough to beat for all around game taking.

I'd probably carry an M1 Garand or my .300 for everything else.

  • exactly, if the game was survive above the people out to kill you, an AK or WASR variant would be my first choice, because then when you run out of ammo you have a very convenient club! and accessories and ammo and all that are very cheap, so very easy to stock up on. same as the .22.

  • im about to dura coat my wasr so i dont have to worry about my club getting rusty.
