I would think an emergency car with it's lights on parked in the road is a clear enough sign that the lane is blocked or closed. But apparently some people need a giant sign to tell them to go around. Sometimes I wish I had a sign like this because people are so helpless.

I can see it now. Officer forgets to put the arrow board down and takes it out on a low clearance tree limb, bridge, etc... Better yet, using it during severe weather such as hurricane and the wind blows it over or rips it off the truck.
