  • you could almost swear they were Canadian, by the simple fact that only a Canadian band would do a winter show outside

  • @TheJordanGraff and yes I am aware that Ian is from Tdot

  • them and the tea party waaaaaaaay unrated......

  • @1970printer underrated**

  • X-Fest 1998! These guys kicked ASS.

  • this is way better live and ive seen both ian thornley wins over nickelsack, sorry guys...the sack will attack, or swell when provoked..lol

  • these guys were before nickleback ppl. they were awesome with my colorado honey. while in college

  • I ran into Big Wreck because of Road Rash 3D soundtrack. Not sure if I heard them in the game though..

Indeedy. Fuck a Nickelshit. Great tune, RIP Big Wreck. This song is a fantastic hit.

  • @mistamontiel Oops wrong song. But ya, great shit

  • down with usa ahahahahahahaha

  • Only in Canada....where you actually need to have Talent to become famous. Happy Canada Day folks! I'm a Nova Scotian living in California but I'll ALWAYS be a canuck!

  • I heard them on the radio playing this live in Winnipeg for one of the Guys Garage giveaways on Power 97. Wish I could've been there. Sounded great even on the radio!

  • Ian Thornley actually was a session musician for Nickelback... so might have contributed to their "sound" back in the late 90's

Not to mention Chad Kroeger does sound just like him. Same Singing style & vocal timbre.

  • @gman71882 heard you the first time

  • Ian Thornley actually was a session musician for Nickelback... so might have contributed to their "sound" back in the late 90's

Not to mention Chad Kroeger does sound just like him. Same Singing style & vocal timbre.

  • he sounds like Nickleback

  • @jjsaturn93 You are a deuchebag man...how in the hell can you compare Thornley's talent to that pathetic group of neanderthals!

  • what a weak ass crowd.

  • LOVE THE RIFF SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

  • @digmeoutpodcast Heard the podcast -- it's been turned over to the Thornley community for all to enjoy. You guys really nailed it. Great job!!

  • man I miss snowjob, best gig ever.

  • Nickelback should've brought them the fuck back, none of them or their faggot clone bands have half of Thornley's talent.

  • WHOO I LOVE CAKE... oh yeah this song is pretty sick too

  • ok, u just cannot go wrong with them! they rock! whooooooooooo

  • LOL...yeah, quite the 98 snowjob. It's ok, I took UBC hostage and jumped backward through space-time using song lyrics, facebook audience and a fucking satellite. Again.

LOL .. "shot it now, it won't come back no more." Fing Conspiracy Theory this, Alice that, CIA NSA surveiallance that, Song lyrics this, Mental Patient that...fuck..

  • NO MAN....that COW had f*ing rabies, ok? THAT WAS NOT funny.

It's frozen to the ground in Winnipeg where I left it. Prick...

  • I'm sorry, Sir. Prognosis isn't great, I'm afraid..... Looks like you missed your own party. :/ Basically, that's "WaT ApanneD" ? Sir? SIR? :O !!!!

  • Why are the top comments about ragging on people comparing Big Wreck to Nickelback? And why do they hate Nickelback? Neither band is bad and neither is like the other, the discussion is not there in the first place.

  • Oh my God, I haven't heard this song in a LONG time. Brings back great memories of my youth.

  • One of the baddest riffs to ever come out of Canada.

  • These guys are more of a band than nickleback mountain any day

  • I was there!! :P

  • Under rated.

    Ian Thornley is gifted.

  • this is just straight up badass rock n' roll!

  • this mite be old ,,but man they rock live ,,,good stuff ,,,

  • what a lame ass crowd, theres only like 7 people that are actually rocking... you'd think since its so cold out, everybody would be jumping up and down

  • I saw these guys in Madison, WI. They had a unique sound and allot of fun to see and here. Wish they were still around. I only have the one CD of theres, and finding even a replacement for that is impossible.

  • @19shiloh It's worth getting both of Big Wreck's CD and get Ian Thornley's CDs after BW broke up.

  • @Whatdahellisthat Indeed, still looking to acquire more of their music.

  • man do they sound good!

  • One killer awesome tune One of a kind !!! wahooooooooooooo : )

  • I wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiishh they would get back together... I was super excited to hear that they will be playing a show on Dec 11... that was until I realized it was at sound academy (shittiest venue ever)..

  • Seeing Thornley/Big wreck in toronto in december! So pumped!

  • They did make it big! Luv this band and Thornley!

  • THe leadsinger sounds alot like chris cornell

  • @Ultravideoslave he doesnt sound even close to chris cornell lol

Chris is on a level of his own

  • Ian thornley produced nickle back, lmao his name is in the credits, Ironical enought he made nickle back,so he's being compaired to himself????lol not quit but you get the drift

  • I find this song wherever I can, and post the same comment: Seriously fuck Ian Thornley. I just want some talent, OK? It's not cool to take it all, Ian.

  • haha this is just like nickleback

  • @nutcase1112 Ha ha, you're just like a troll. Do us all a favour and go fuck a live light socket.

  • @BenjaminGlatt

    It still sounds like nickleback

  • @nutcase1112 Incorrect, as Big Wreck was around before Nickleback started (and by extension started being shitty), and it's really only the voices that sound the same. So... nice try, but I recommend that you get castrated and then remove your entire family out to first cousins and then yourself from the gene pool, just so that nobody even remotely related to you will breed more idiots like you.

  • @BenjaminGlatt

So I should cut my balls off because I have a different opinion on a band you like?

  • @nutcase1112 No, you should cut off your balls because you're an idiot and I don't want you breeding. It has nothing to do with your taste in music and everything to do with you being awful in every conceivable way.

  • @BenjaminGlatt

    ah shucks, thanks pal :)

  • This song rocks n nvr gets old. I heard it for the 1st time in yrs a few wks back n can't get it outa my head......thanx Ian n PLZ!!!!! come to St Lou n play a show

  • @betzklosty PLEASE LEARN TO SPELL I WILL TRANSLATE THIS SO THAT YOU CAN MAYBE UNDERSTAND IT:

    PLZ LRN 2 SPEL.

If this task is too difficult for you, please abstain from posting your almost-English where the rest of us have to be subjected to it (read: anywhere).

  • @BenjaminGlatt Well maybe you will understand this.....would you be interested in fucking off now or later

  • @betzklosty Wait, are you serious? How do you want me to respond to this? "Oh noes! You have bested me with your 'fuck off!' " Nice try.

Do you hear that? That sucking, wheezing sound? That's the sound of your laboured breathing through your mouth because you're too dim to breathe properly. Go off and sit in the corner and leave the thinking to the people with more than four neurons firing at any given time.

  • gdammit this sh*t just doesn't get old does it....

  • Every time I'd had the pleasure to see Big Wreck, it was in a crowd no larger than this one...which was awesome :) Evening Star Concert Hall in Niagara Falls, NY, 1999...50 people max?

  • What a great tune.. awesome. Canuck Rocks

  • @Drumr56 They're from Boston

  • @JESUBLIME65 i think they met in Boston at University, but came back to Toronto, not totally sure, but i think they aren't really heard of in The States.

  • Holy shit, I love Ian's voice.

  • man, can someone just upload and post some HD audio of the recorded version...damn

  • ok i mean really what happened to much music and was that that homo devon solteindeek introducing them.

wow, he's such a queer no but he was prolly coll back then.

much music is done they lost one of the funniest guys in matt babel and one of the hottest chicks in leah miller.

btw,wtf happened to leah miller i seen her on sytycdc and she was sitting in a pile of a sute and makeup. not hot at all.

  • @bdawgmarsdin that was Terry David Mulligan introducing them.

  • @bdawgmarsdin this is from 1998 dude, those VJs didnt exist back then...

  • I LOVE these guys!!!!!!!!

  • Such an amazing band.. They should have blown the charts wide open!! (Pun Intended) To bad that 70% of people only listen to what's "catchy." Idiots.. :)

  • where was this to?

  • Man I miss the 90s!!!!

  • was this really 12 years ago? wow. i feel old.

  • @Lemonhead86 tie flys when there's no good music to listen to.

  • I hate Thornley's solo crap. BRING BACK BIG WRECK~!

  • sounds awesome, awesome guitarist :a bit similar to an indian classical instrument called "veena"

  • LOL snowjob...i love these guys!!!!

  • My generation's music is better than your generation's music.

In other news, my political opinion is much better than your political opinion.

  • big wreck ......more like BIG FRIGGIN AWESOMENESS WIN! big wrecks ROCK

  • Please don't compare them to Theory of a Nickelfault......not fair to Mr. Thornley.

  • @RyoFoo

  • @RyoFoo theory of a deadman is actually really sick

  • Big Wreck > Nickelback

  • These guys were awsome!

  • Is there a studio version of this sing on Youtube? I can't seem to find any. I actually heard this song on the EDGE a few days ago, it kicks ass.

  • There used to be. Apparently it was pulled off..

  • 102.1?

  • Long before I ever heard of Big Wreck I hated Nickleflat, now I hate them even more.

  • only 37 comments over the span of a year for such a great band and yet people still listen to Nickelback. The world is not fair.

  • ok PLEASE NO COMPARISONS TO NICKLEBACK whoever said that.....

these guys not makin it big is lame, so is nickleback.

  • @sckmyballsofsteel the didn't make it big.....because they didn't sell out, which gives me more respect for the bad, than the rest who sell out, and forget their roots!

  • @sckmyballsofsteel umm he did make it big? with thornley

  • @sckmyballsofsteel They weren't Nickelback. I'm with you. Big Wreck was one of the most amazing bands of all time. I make no joke about it. In my top three? Of all TIME? Big Wreck is third.

  • I love this song especially is guitar solo...awesome

  • Thank you so much for sharing this!

  • Gawd I love this album and band, they broke up too soon

  • Thats true, and they were going to be as big as nickle back is now but they broke up.

But Thornelys new band still plays the songs from big wreck.

  • The album was amazing I loved it.

  • I REALLY think they should get back together... These guys were totally underrated.

  • Yup they were awesome and Thornley by himself is pretty good but not as cool as Big Wreck.

  • I know Much Music is a canadian channel and I used to be a big fan of these guys back in the day, but I cant remember. Were these guys Canadian? I have the original video but if I post it does that mean it'll be removed since someone else said all of their vids were on YouTube a few months ago.

  • Ian is the only Canadian,Everyone else is from Long Island NY.

  • I mentioned that to someone on here and they argued with me that if Ian is Canadian then they all are, I said no you dumba** just Ian Thornley is Canadian, people can be so retarded, it's nice to see that someone else knows the facts, thank you

  • Comment removed

  • fukk

    my luck is wasted

    im IN the ground

    somwhere

    PEACE

  • Love the live version, really awsome!

  • does anyone know what the good version of the song is...i don't really like the live version.

  • This is a great version of this song! I dont think a studio version would be much better

  • This is definently one of their best songs, "That Song" is pretty awesome too : )

  • amazing

  • man, watching this makes me realize how awesome big wreck was. 90s music ruled.

  • Yeah I pity the poor college students who had Britney and NSync taking over the radio. Going to art school and having bands such as The Breeders, STP, Soundgarden, Seaweed, Sponge, Radiohead, etc. etc. and songs from bands like this just fit like a glove for me.

  • Ian. Pass Violation. Lol

  • Wow!

     Stilll......HAUNTING! Really ,Really, Fine.

Mahalo for the great tunes. Looking forward to the New thornleyband album.

  • i saw big wrek with creed for a buck in okc,ok and big wrek wuz the shit. wut ever happend to them?

  • ian thornley switched to the band called thornley

  • too bad, no official video, but still so good live

  • There is an official video for the song itself.

  • there is an official video just not on youtube.

Actually ALL of their videos were on youtube a month ago, wonder what happened.

  • Haters aside, we have their record label for actually being the reason they "fell off." They did a horrific job promoting their second album which is mainly why they disbanded. Such a waste though as they were an amazing band. the only consolation is that we at least have the band, Thornley.

  • I'm going to play the race card for a moment for all the haters but, being African American, I can tell you that this is what a good rock vocalist is suppose to sound like. I remember seeing these guys at the Lunatic Luah in Va. Beach and can't believe they fell off. Great band with great sound, you white folks ought to be ashamed of urselves for letting a band like this go to waste. Despite the different musical styles he's a better vocalist than James Hetfield, Scott Weiland of Eddie Vedder.

  • I remember when this aired on MTV, I was like 9 at the time.....but I remember being stoked that this was filmed at sun peaks British Columbia, close to my home town!

  • great, but sounds a bit like stp/theory of a deadman don't you think?

  • Uh...this song came out in 98...Theory of a Deadman didn't even record their first album until 2002. So that would be a 'NO'. And as far as the STP thing...if you think Ian Thornley sounds like Scott Weiland...then you seriously need a new set of ears, son. Peace.

  • i think this sounds more like soundgarden than anything to be quite honest.and yeah these guys came out way before theory of a nicklefault.

  • i miss the 90s lol

  • Awesome thanks!

  • That is FANTASTIC. I'd never have thought the live version could be that good. The backing vocals are superb.

  • Great find. Thank's for sharing.

  • Kick Ass Song!
