I think it depends on the place of the body you're getting tattoo.I have four tattoos. The ones on my neck (50 minutes) and ankle (2 hours and a half) didn't hurt on the week after... The one on my ribs (45m) did hurt on the week after. The one on my shoulder blade was definitely the most painful one. Because it lasted 3 hours and a half. I think that the bigger the tattoo is the more is gonna hurt. And you don't need any product for a tattoo as small as the one on this video!!
