Lincoln did emancipate/free the majority of slaves but not all of them. Gay marriage is just as traditional as straight marriage. Thousands of tribes worldwide have always tolerated such relationships, until the recent christianization of the world.

Stability of marriage? Really? On another topic-> Lincoln wasn't against slavery. He owned slaves himself. The difference is the South's economy was dependent upon slavery, whereas the North's wasn't. He only wrote the Emancipation Proclamation to cripple the Southern Confederacy who were strangling the Northern states economically. It was a completely political move yet remembered in history as something different. Mr Santorum is counting upon American ignorance to win favor.
