John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
I wish someone "performing" Christian music at the white house would preach to our leaders, and thell them to repent of their sorceries, secret societies, and corruption. We are not here to entertain.
It's not for them to try to change the world leaders lol. The world leaders are still chosen to do a certain job, whether it's good or bad haha. See the book of revelations.
Actually, we are called to be a light. Light exposes darkness. We are not here to entertain evil, but to show light. Even John the baptist rebuked Herod for taking His brother's wife.
@shanecruey you are very right about that. But to preach to these leaders at this period of time might not be the way to go. What do you say to a person who knows what scripture says but doesn't believe it? Only the holy spirit can deal with that. Remember that even satan quoted scripture to Jesus in the wilderness. The devil was there when scripture was written so he knows it. These world leaders know it too, so to preach to them might not be possible right now.
That may be true. many of them are dull of hearring, yet we must be instant in season and out of season. When they want to hear, and even when they don't.
Also, your right about those "God bless america" songs. Most of that is so silly. At least this song has the clear gospel in it. This is a great song. I just would like to see true repentance in this nation.
@shanecruey at least this and a few of the others give a clear gospel message. i'm sure we all wish that could happen, but this is probably the closest we'll ever get
@paul21mclovin You are right. At least it does contain the gospel message in it. That is better than a lot of what is out there called "christian" music
we need to pray for our nation to repent to return back to god in a way i feel sad and scare because i see this once blessed nation turning its back on god im a guatemalan-american i came to the usa about 20years ago and i thank god and my parent for bringing me to this country which im a citizen now and i loved to death but i see that its moving away from god i know that god is in control but cant help it feel sad and lonely for my country its the only true free nation god help us amen
For this country to sustain it's blessings of peace and "true freedom", this type of activity must go on in the white house. This great country was established as a gift of for the persecuted christians to retreat form evil abroad. What a way to return to the favor to our lord on an executive level. God Bless!
We do not know God's plan verbatum. The events that happened to this country and to the Bush Administration is in God's perfect plan. We will not know until we are all before the Throne of Grace and we see our Savior, Jesus. Just keep our leaders in prayer and keep pressing onward to finish the race. We should at least know the who the true Messiah really is.
I think the president has made some serious mistakes in the last 7 years(as any other politician in office), but NOT IN THE WAR ON TERROR! He will go down in History as the man who started the war against islamic massacrers. And He's also a man of faith, that's sure.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I am a Christian, Republican and conservative and I could not disagree with you more. Bush will go down as the most dangerous, mistake making, killer of 3000 troops that put his ego before sanity. His faith was in himself and he failed.
I love Jesus, I love smitty :) AND our wonderful President Bush. He will go down in American history as one of the greatest God-fearing leaders we've ever had. All of the name-smearing and criticism that he's had to endure will be put to rest. Amen :)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
it doesn't matter anymore. Bush is almost out of office. and I am personally counting down the days with glee. whether we're republicans/democrats/conservatives/or liberal. we can all agree that bush screwed up our economy royally. with his "war on terror" i feel bad for the next president that has to clean up Bush's mess
Actually you need to check. You are only 20 so you would not remember. Clinton was the one that paved the economic road we are on now. The problems with the country that the "current" president has to handle is typically the last one's fault. Allow me to venture a guess. You remember Bill Clinton (whose initials are ironically BJ) for his line "I did not have sexual relations with that woman." Do you remember he cut funding to schools? Do you remember he cut funds to NASA?
May I, as a Sailor and a Christian, note that we should be supporting the troops. Regardless of what your personal thoughts may be, there are men and women, Sons and Daughters, Mothers and Fathers over seas right now defending your right to speak as you have. I ask as a man of Christ that you support us who have given so much. We need your prayers, not your criticisms. God bless you. May He be lifted up.
I will pray for American soldiers here in Hungary, even if some "Americans" won't do that. Those hatemongers, who are bashing US soldiers becuse they hate Pres. Bush so much should be ashamed.
Are you guys serious? Doesn't everyone know the war in Iraq is a huge scam and part of Bush's personal agenda?
And many things changed after Jesus died for us. (to all you non-Sabbath/commandment keepers that does not include the Ten Commandments!) but i doubt that God would desire any kind of war this day in age... I think all we can do now is keep His commandments if we really love Him and wait for His return.
Part of Bush's personal agenda?! Come on, that is the most absurd thing one can say. When has going to war ever benefited a president, or made him popular? Even FDR waited till the last minute to go to war because he knew the implications.
You do know Saddam tried to kill Bush's daddy right? How do you think the transition went from Osama to Saddam?? There was no legitimate reason. Don't you think all of this is the least bit fishy?
Another thing. Do some research on secret societies and its roots in Satanism. Bush Sr. was a freemason. Bush was in Skull and Bones, so was Kerry...
Also, i don't want to argue anymore because this argument will go nowhere: I am not going to change your liberal mind, and you are not going to change my conservative mind.
Finally, This song that Michael W. Smith sings has nothing to do with politics, Bush, Sept. 11, the War in Iraq and etc. Discussing unresolved issues like this takes away from the meaning of the song. It is a beautiful song and it definitely deserves to be listened to.
We can't just judge Michael for what he did in the past, because only God can judge, sure, Michael did cocaine in the past, but look at him now, he is writing and singing songs that changes the world, We can't judge George W. Bush for the War in Iraq, sure, he's the one that ordered it, but so many wars happened before George W. Bush was even in Politics. God is the only judge, so stop judging.
I've realised that God is not someone you turn to when you have the time...He is someone you turn to ALL THE TIME! Never ever use God as an escape route out of trouble!!! Let us lift the banner high for Christ!!
How is bombing children in Iraq "Christ Like"? I dont see how anyone can say Bush is a Christian. He shows no compassion. He refuses to protect Gods Earth... I mean I could go on all day. When will Christians learn that GOD does NOT equal GOP
fog of war sir! It happens.. George Bush is not responsible ...trust me i know...and he is a Christian. Thank God I dont have his job.... what do you think
Are you so blind to everything that moves except bush? Doyou really think that the top Generals are targeting schools? Wake up!!! What are the odds that just MAYBE that the taliban (terror cells) are using kids as colateral damage to wage pysc war on us.........And if you REALLY think that this is Gods earth, read revelation......
If you read the Bible, God isn't some wimpy being that forbids war. In fact, he ordered annihilations that were A LOT worse then this war in Iraq. There is a time when war is right, and God commanded people to go to war. before you discuss "Christ Like," get to learn the real Christ first. He will fascinate and amaze you!
So... if there are times when "god" commands us to kill... how are we any better than the Islamic extremist attacking the west? Furthermore, the USA is NOT god's arm. We are not here to do his bidding. As to this comment you made ("God commanded people to go to war") It talks about Christians going to war. Not everyone else. I challenge you JOIN THE MILITARY. STAND UP FOR THIS WAR YOU STRONGLY BELIEVE IN! BUT I CAN ONLY GUESS YOU WILL NOT! AND DONT GIVE ME LAME EXUCSES.
Where in the Commandments does it say "thou shalt not go to war?" It says "thou shalt not Kill...meaning you shouldn't murder. War is an act of self defense, not murder. Once again, God commanded war, why would he command war if it went against his commandments?
Look, I'm not going to pretend I know everything cuz I don't... but God knows... Only thing I'm certain of is that killing is killing and there's no way I'd kill someone...
It's not like Bush had a direct revelation from God that he should invade other countries. and I strongly disagree w/ you that war is an act of self defense. This is not always the case...
To be honest if I had to give reason to anyone it would be to the native Iraqis defending their homeland.
I'm done arguing with you because I don't like getting upset. As a servant of the Lord, i am: Not supposed to "quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient; in humility correcting those who are in opposition..."(II Tim. 2:24-25).
And they say Airplanes knocked down the WTC... Have you actually read the argument on the belief that it was actually imploded and this whole series of events was PLANNED by the government?
I'm a pretty skeptical person but that idea makes much more sense to me than just the feeling that "oh, we are good old Americans and we are helping the world by invading these countries..."
Awesome Michael. If you ever make it back to New Zealand and ya have time come for a ride in my fun engine or not just say the word. I often play your songs. PTL as long as I live.
