@chrisfehn14 Sorry to about your accident, has it put you off rides now?
Isn't Musik Express a Matterhorn style ride? if so I think the cars attach to the arms with a tow ball style joint at each end so pretty safe.Mind you the cars can swing very high when on full speed, perhaps the joint broke or wasn't clicked on?
So far I've only been flung off a Speedway/Ark, and been stuck at the top of Oblivion (Alton Towers) just before the drop for about 20 mins due to a computer (user?) problem!
I wanted to go to Hunstanton when I found out that they had a Ski Jump ride there because it's very rare for such a ride to be about these days. But they told me by email that they no longer had the ride which was a shame. Where am I likely to find Ski Jump rides these days? No fairs seem to have them.
Yes, the Ski Jump is indeed a rare ride to find, and although not many were made, a few still exist even now.As far as park funfairs go, I've heard Southport New Pleasureland have one in their rides list, and Smiths funfair, have one they travel with occasionally, which I heard appeared at the May Bank Holiday Funfair in Sarratt (not far from me), along with a Rock-O-Plane! :( I'm too old for that now!.Look out for 'funfair reports' to see if there's any travelling near you.
@80sArcadeGamer Thank you for your help. I have checked out Southport New Pleasureland's website and they do indeed have one. I am going there at the end of July as it's been years since I last rode a ski jump and I'd like to ride another one soon.
@machewbaccas I was staying in Norfolk between the 22nd - 26th, and if my memory serves me right, I think we visited Hunstanton on the 23rd.All I do remember is the weather was up & down, sunny for while, then heavy rain, and so windy some of the 'oldies' were having trouble standing up walking along the front!.Despite the weather, we enjoyed our day there though, just a shame the pier and boating lake I remember from when I was a kid, have gone.
@MISSGPYATT Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.Yeah, I like Hunstanton, one of the better seasides, although the beach in Mablethorpe on the other side of the Wash is nicer!, but as town looks rather run down.
It did take a while, but I'm pleased with the results, although I wish I could have included some actual video, like I did with the other one.
all them are still there

If you liked this video, don't forget to check out my other Fun Fair video, showing the big Stevens fair at Cassiobury Park in Watford.
