  • @TheJukboxjim smh.

  • @TheJukeboxjim one last thing I don't know much about prison just what I see on TV but I don't know alot about crazies and psychos. I do alot of reading on people like that. You're nothing more another soon to be Nathan Gale. The guy who killed Dimebag Darrell who kept saying that Pantera was stealing his identity. Stealing his thoughts just like how you're saying Shane Douglas stole your persona. Get help asap before hurt yourself or someone else.

  • @PUNISHERWarzone87 ???????????? 'class dismissed '!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJukeboxjim You can't prove it cause you're crazy. You're mental. You need to get out of the house, move away from you're parents, get a job, get laid but before you do so, get your head examined before you actually find Shane Douglas and kill him and tell the court he he stole his personality off of me and then they send you to some maxium security prison where you'll the bitch in D block or becuase you can't handle jail you'll kill yourself.

  • @PUNISHERWarzone87 Obviously God ruined a perfect ass hole when he stuck teeth in your mouth, idiots like yourself are the reason THIS ASSOCIATION can be seen only on youtuube, have you used your iron,or crowbar,or cookie sheets, since you can't bring them to the arena anymore. You also seem to know alot about being the prison BITCH,a real surprise! Now get back to your video games, and consider decaf drinks.

  • @TheJukeboxjim Shane Douglas stole the Dean Douglas persona off of you? Yea cause thats as true as me saying Stone Cold Steve Austin stole his 3:16 gimmick from me.

  • @PUNISHERWarzone87 Don't have to prove it to anyone, but I can,Makes no difference in the scheme of things, he failed with it anyway, and my buddies had fun busting my balls for years,So believe what you will.

  • WRESTLING HISTORY

  • ...they can all kiss my ASS!!!!

  • Can anybody remember a shoot promo that wasn't good?

  • @kgp8 plenty, anyone done by Russo for starts. A lot of Kevin Nash's as well.

  • @HGeneAnthony Oh, when I see Jarrett or Douglas shoot a promo, it felt real and controversial. I don't remember Russo or Nash's shoot promo from any wrestling association. I just remember Jeff Jarrett's and Dustin Runnell's shoot during WWF programming. Obviously, probably my fav. shoot promo is Shane's shoot promo from ECW and Hardcore Homecoming.

  • @kgp8 Most of the stuff was in WCW.Both guys made shoot comments but mixed them in with their regular promos, they were typically over most fans heads, which is why they didn't register with a lot of fans.WCW had a lot of shoot stuff but they typically weren't very good. In one episode on Nitro,Bagwell/Riggs were going over their match in the backstage, Bagwell says you're going over 1-2-3. Then when the match happened Bagwell small packaged him for the win and sold it like a doublecross.

  • @kgp8 Russo had one of the most famous shoot promos ever when they did that whole thing with Hogan and Jarrett where Jarrett came down to the ring, laid down, and Hogan pinned him with his foot. Then Russo came down and chewed Hogan out, which led to a lawsuit against Russo in real life.

  • the greatest of all time...... look @ you soniccrimebeast you nevr done 1 fukn thing significant in your pathetic life and thejukeboxjim you wish any thought you were anything but a fn loser

and YOU ALL CAN KISS MY ASS!!!!

  • @TheWarrior124 First of all, he stole his Dean Douglas persona off of me,when in the day, I posted as the prof. jr.My class dismissed ending was even used.He tried to be another Flair, never an original. Was a big mouth, a medium size fish in a very small pond.Bath tub actually.Ecw [stars?] for the most part ,couldn't even draw a decent pay check, sadly, because they put themselves out there, took a beating,Had Shame been able to play the 'game' he may had been a mid card star, maybe,at best!

  • Greatest promo of all time!

  • If it weren't for ecw ,good old Troy would have been a teacher years earilier. One of the most overated of all time.

  • @TheJukeboxjim this is wrestling, it doesn't always matter how good you are, it matters how well you're pushed. CM Punk was almost let go a couple of times and Vince used to mock the Anaconda Vice in the back. He only got over because he got a chance to at the end. Austin was given a shit gimmick as well when he came in and if it wasn't for the Curtain Call he would have never won KOTR which led to his epic promo. Some people get the chance and some don't.

  • Look at him now hahahaha

  • if i ever become WWE champ i will say "in tradition of John Cena and Randy Orton and CM Punk. and they can all KISS MY ASS!"

  • ............ and now he's a middle school History teacher. What a ride.

  • The great Promo of all time.. i dont care what anyone man, woman, or chilld ever says.. Shane Douglas was the man..

  • this, punk's infamous pipebomb, and austin's 3:16 speech will go down as the greatest moments in professional wrestling

  • @poet215 no I disagree, poet215. Shane's belt throwing, Stone Cold's 3:16 speech, Hogan's heel turn, Hogan's first WWE title win, the Monday Night Wars and of course the birth of the Attitude Era are THE GREATEST MOMENTS IN WRESTLING.

  • @poet215 and also the Stone Cold-Vince rivalry, the Stone Cold-The Rock rivalry and most importantly, Eddie Guerrero's first WWE title win.

  • @poet215 nothing past 2002 is really worth talking about in the realm of professional wrestling.

  • @SuperRonnieJ1183 Brock Lesnar becoming a real fighting champion is worth a nod ?

  • @betunia98 Sure it is, but it had no relevance to professional wrestling. He got out just in time.

  • @SuperRonnieJ1183 But thats the point he was a real wrestler.

  • This is one of the great moments in wrestling, along with Stone Cold's 3:16 speech, Hogan's heel turn and of course the birth of the Attitude Era.

  • @SuperMangaBoy who's your fave wrestler, SuperMangaBoy? REPLY BACK.

  • the birth of ECW =)

  • @SuperMangaBoy yep the REAL ECW, not the brand. REPLY BACK.

  • Hey guys just thought i should share this. if your in the new york area theres a big show planned on december 9th, Low Ki vs Amazing Red, The Maximo Bros of The SAT vs The Set, Fatal Four Way Main Event: "The New Horror" Sami Callihan vs "The Precious One" Gilbert vs "The Notorious 187" Homicide vs "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. it's gonna be nuts check it out:

    /watch?v=TRsgRqFOIzs&feature=feedu

  • LOL at Joey Styles "What the hell is he doing?!"

  • Well, that lasted about 5 minutes. Then he sold out to go to sports "entertainment". What a joke.

  • Comment removed

  • @bleedorange1998 Well, since I didn't call ecw sports entertainment, your little attempt at being witty is a fail. You obviously have the IQ of a doorknob. I'm guessing your entire life has been a fail.

  • @roughroad93 I DISAGREE, THUMBS DOWN, roughroad93. REPLY BACK, roughroad93.

  • "I declare myself, THE FRANCHISE as the NEW ECW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!!! So tonight, let the new era begin: the era of the sport of professional wrestling. The era of the franchise, the era of the ECW."

Shane Douglas giving birth to the REAL and ORIGINAL ECW, not the crappy brand Vince put out.

  • @kimv020887 Vince's ECW sucked but it made more money than the original did in it's entire life time. LOL!

  • @ManicRaider C'mon WWECW sucked. Shane Douglas said its nowhere near the original and REAL ECW.

  • @kimv020887 he's about to give birth to a new ECW very soon if you haven't heard

  • @HGeneAnthony What? Shane is giving birth to a NEW ECW? But they can't use E-C-W because Vince owns the name.

  • so fake and gay lol .. pathetic intros with acting

  • @Dalleman86 what are you mentioning, Dalleman86? REPLY BACK.

  • Ikgrave and Ladieschoice1985 both commented that Shane Douglas' promo was only promo that changed PRO WRESTLING. What about the "Austin 3:16 says I just whoop your a**" speech of Stone Cold at KOTR 1996? What about Hulk Hogan's heel turn speech at the Bash at the Beach 1996? C'mon Ikgrave and Ladieschoice1985 shouldn't forget both promos I mentioned. Anyone agree with me?

  • @kimv020887 Why don't we just include Rocky Mavia becoming the Rock? Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair warring over the NWA title? The Undertaker and Mankind's Hell in a Cell Match? The formation of the Four Horsemen, DX and NWO? There are tons of matches, promos, swerves and angles that made careers and defining moments but for me, only a handful changed wrestling FOREVER! This is one of them. Right up there with Vince McMahon buying out his dad's company.

  • @lkgrave I just mentioned Hulk Hogan's heel turn speech at WCW BATB 1996. Which means I mentioned the nWo. I also want to include Bruno Sammartino's eight year reign as WWWF (now WWE) Champion for eight years. I'm also including Ricky Steamboat vs Ric Flair for the NWA/WCW title and Terry Funk winning the ECW title in 1997.

  • @lkgrave Don't forget the Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle WWE title match at WrestleMania XIX.

  • The biggest moments of Wrestling for me:

Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold's first WWE title wins

Attitude Era and the Original ECW

Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW

    Creation of TNA and ROH

Bruno Sammartino holding the WWE title for eight years

  • @Ladieschoice1985 what about Stone Cold's first WWE title win? Don't forget it also. By the way why is your channel's named Ladieschoice1985? Are you a ladies' man? LOL.

  • Comment removed

  • @Ladieschoice1985 what about Stone Cold's KOTR Speech, Ladieschoice1985?

  • To the *long pause* 'Ric Flairs'!

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with Ikgrave, this promo changed the face of wrestling forever!!!

  • I remember reading about this in pwi and seeing it on ecw and remembering how big of a deal it was.

Now we are a know-it-all society and lost the "belief" of the sport of wrestling. We will no longer see these moments ever again. And im not sure if thats good or bad.

  • @detchuck

well I agree with you for once. Except Bill Watts did sell out, to Crockett. Then he got smart and got out of the business.

  • this promo reminds of cm punk's recent shoot. thumbs up if you agree!

  • @roughroad93 I disagree. This promo reminds me of Stone Cold's "3:16" speech.

  • Now you can see at 2:26 the NWA president chewing his fingernails like Tod Gordon said in the documentary.

  • Yo Im going to meet him Sunday and he is signing my NWA title ;) along with Rise&FALL of ECW

  • Did he get a lot of backstage heat for this?

  • The final nail in the NWA coffin. The end of an era. The start of a new one.

  • everyone went from \(^_^)/ to (O_O)

  • if Scorpio won the belt would he did that disrespect the NWA belt????

  • @HobertC83 depends who you talk to. i heard that only shane douglas was in on this. i also heard that heyman and the franchise were in on this.

  • @JoeAmy22 Heyman and Gordon came up with it, and Heyman taked Douglas into doing it. Heyman's view was only the old school traditionalists would complain, and they didn't matter, any more.

  • Shane Douglas made ECW from Eastern Championship Wrestling to Extreme Championship Wrestling.

  • @1:07 Never mind that shit, here comes Mongo!

  • both those belts look fake

  • to playanupe:

The N.W.A. belt that Shane Douglas threw down was the old N.W.A. belt. The same belt Ric Flair wore.

  • @Stefan990 thats a replica thats not the original ten pounds of gold

  • to playanupe:

Yeah, when I said that's "the same belt," I meant it's the same design.

That belt is classic. I would like to get that belt and have Ric Flair and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat autograph it.

The N.W.A. belt is the oldest belt in wrestling. All the wrestling organizations started by being a part of N.W.A. (W.W.E., W.C.W., E.C.W., T.N.A.). Then the organization grows larger and breaks its union with N.W.A..

  • @detchuck

Read my comment again, all footage was owned by the individual promoters. Verne owned the AWA footage, the Von Erichs owned the World Class footage, etc. All the NWA ever was was a governing body, although today there's not much for them to govern. Seems you need to get a grip.

  • @detchuck

As for the video library, there's no such thing as "NWA footage". All the footage was owned by the individual promotions and Vince has been buying it up.

  • @detchuck

Actually there was a trademark. You should read the Wrestling Classics site. Dan Poustma posts a lot of legal stuff and pointed out that they incorporated in Iowa in 1948 as NWA Inc., a not for profit corporation. In the early 90's I believe after Crockett was kicked out (which was 1995) and Howard Brody joined is when they changed to being incorporated in North Carolina as a for profit corporation. JCP/WCW may have been the largest NWA member, but they weren't the entire NWA.

  • I blocked MRNWA4Life he is a dirtbag troll. Dont respond to comments from him or he will troll you claiming he is an internet tough guy.

  • @theenforcer1977

LOL I put you on block too asshole. I don't claim to be an internet tough guy, I just said I'd beat your ass for being a little bitch

  • @AndreaMagnus

the only NWA titles that became WCW titles are the US, US Tag, World Tag, and World TV. Those were Crockett titles, the Crockett titles became WCW titles. The NWA World title wasn't a Crockett title, didn't become the WCW title. There is no old NWA or new NWA, it's the same NWA. WCW was just one part of the NWA, 20 years later and people still can't figure this out? The NWA doesn't exists anymore? Tell that to Bob Trobich, who as the NWA's attorney beat WCW in court in 1993!

  • @MrNWA4Life Yeah well regardless of what the NWA is or was, what's going today in the NWA doesn't mean jack shit. The WWE maybe a parody of what they use to be, and TNA maybe an indy with a good tv deal but the NWA is invisible.

  • @DonEddy

Flair has pissed his money away, and has SEVERAL ex-wives he has to pay alimony to. Savage and Liz divorced and she got half, but he ain't broke like Flair. I like Flair, but the man is an idiot with money. Why else did he have to pawn the original NWA World Heavyweight belt?

  • @Inflicter

Yes, Severn was a damn good wrestler in his day, nothing bad about choosing him as champ. So what if he wasn't the most charasmatic guy in the world

  • @detchuck

There is no old NWA and new NWA, it's the same organization Members have come and gone but the organization is still the same.

  • @botistabomb

    Um, yes it is.

  • This was one of the greatest moments in pro wrestling ever.

  • Was a short era.

  • This is legendary.....wrestling would've never been what it is in if not for this.....

  • If everyone looked at the overall aspect of what the influence ECW had on pro wrestling (sports entertainment) in general, leading to the Attitude Era, the Monday Night Wars and the creation of TNA, than this moment is right up there with Hulk Hogan defeating the Iron Sheik for his first WWF title reign.

  • @lkgrave Absolutey! Sadly Shane Douglas didn't get the push he deserved in WWE!

  • @LouChador Shit! The only ECW Originals who got a decent push in the WWE were the Dudley Boyz and RVD. Everyone else was pretty much buried. As for Steve Austin and Mick Foley, they may have been in ECW for a short period but only as WCW castoffs.

For more about this legendary shoot and the run of ECW, I recommend fans read Hardcore History: The Unauthorized Story of ECW by Scott E. Williams.

  • @lkgrave Why "Shit"? I didn't claim, that other ECW wrestlers were pushed... !!?? It just said, it's sad that Shane didn't get pushed, although he did this historic angle.

  • @LouChador I totally agree with you. If Vince kept him as the Franchise instead of going for the idiotic 'Dean' angle, Douglas could have been a major star in the WWE. I was just pointing that he was not the only ECW wrestler who didn't get a decent push.

  • @lkgrave Ok, I agree. I met Shane in February on some sort of wrestling convention in Berlin. You'll find a video in my channel!

  • @lkgrave That's one of the most ludicrious statements I've ever heard. ECW was a little indy fed. They never advanced past that. Hogan moved WWE into full on mainstream media. Close though

  • @danmartin06 I was not talkiing about it being a large finanical success like WWF(E) and (for a while) WCW. I was talking about the influence it had on its competitors. Both Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff were taking notes from Paul Heyman was doing during the Monday Night Wars. And to have crowds chant 'ECW' during both the TV shows and PPVs of its competitors shows what type of reach this 'little indy fed' had.

  • @lkgrave the problem though, is that Shane Douglas and this promo had nothing to do with any of that. Shane Douglas was a guy who could never make it anywhere else besides ECW because he simply wasn't that good. While Heyman had some revolutionary ideas during his time in ECW, this promo is essentially meaningless. NWA was long dead when it happened. This moment is sooooo over rated by ECW marks it's not even funny.

  • @lkgrave What about the creation of Ring of Honor?

  • @kimv020887 True!

  • look at all these NWA marks

  • Never mind that shit, here comes MONGO!

  • @RowdyMick7 botchamania,lololololololololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RowdyMick7 Mongo had a big influence on wrestling. You can see it in today's WWE stars.

  • what dont people like about shane douglas I dont get it? He has character...and hes trying to bring ric flair to ECW....which would have been awesome

  • shane douglas sucks

  • i rember watrching this this the start of ecw wcw also walk out of nwa

  • So u people think this changed wrestling history and was a big deal ? lol A guy who was never as good as he thought and never made it big throwing down a belt that no one cared about at that time. Just because it was the start of a small promotion that was held in a bingo parlor and lasted a few years and then folded ? If ECW was so great then it would have gotten bigger and lasted longer.

  • Shane Douglas kicked off The ECW we all hold so dear to our Hardcore Hearts!!!!!!!

  • in my opinion this was the greatest moment in wrestling history

  • @Frede290995 Couldn't agree with you more

  • @WWEFan7786 hahaha shane douglas a bad wrestler wow, your getting mixed up between him and ultimate warrior, hulk hogan, and john cena.

  • @grate4life Shane Douglas was a bad wrestler

  • Historic promo indeed! It ignited the flame that would become ECW, but I can't get on board with throwing down a championship belt, especially the NWA world heavyweight championship. The NWA world heavyweight title is the epicenter of wrestling tradition and should never be disrespected. I'm not damning the ECW revolution. I watched ECW all the time and I loved it, but this to me took it a little too far. That's what made ECW so great. They always went over the edge with just about everything.

  • one of the most unlikeable jerks in the wrestling business

  • Shane was a cocky asshole who's career never went anywhere

  • @Sneezlebob Cocky asshole I agree whoe heartedly bro! However, this promo wrote history whether we realize it or not

  • ECW = wrestling prison tour

  • 1:07 "never mind that shit; here comes Mongo!"

  • Comment removed

  • @Inflicter The Beast. Indeed he was nwa champ. He even had a short stint in the WWE while holding it. He had the charisma of a bar of soap.

  • The NWA's reputation was in tatters after this

  • @dwibs93 The NWA was gone gone long before this. Only a handful of indy's used the nwa belt at that time but the NWA itself was gone as of about 1986.

  • @theenforcer1977

Yeah, that's why the NWA voted to make Ronnie Garvin the champion in 1987. But wait,I thought the NWA was dead in 1986. That's why the WCW still had to wait to have NWA approval of who their champions would be in 1991 when the WCW started declaring their on champions. But wait, how could that be if the NWA was gone as of about 1986. That's why WCW was still a part of the NWA until Sept 1993. But yeah, the NWA was gone as of about 1986

  • @JWade29 Dusty was the booker when garvin won the title in 87. No one else wanted the title from september til thanksgiving so Crockett and Dusty asked garvin who was already in his 40's and he said yeas because he knew it was his only shot. World Class had already pulled out and made their own world champion. Florida was bought out by Crockett same with UWF. It was gone. But smaks like you live in fantasy land. My brain injury may get my dates mixed up but nwa was dead.

  • @theenforcer1977

Even if Dusty wanted to give Garvin the title, since it was still the NWA Title, the NWA Board of Directors still had to vote on it,enforcer. Ironically, that's what led to the WCW breaking from the NWA in 1993,when Eric Bischoff decided he was gonna crown whoever he wanted has the champion, the hell with the NWA board of directors.

Anyway,I'm done arguing with you about it. You want to believe it died in 1986,even though I proved that it didn't,you go right ahead.

  • @JWade29 There was no board of directors. Thats how Flair took the belt to WWF in 1991. If there was an NWA theynever would have let that happen. When there was a 9 member panel Vince McMahon Sr was on the 9 member panel. Vince Jr was not on that panel. Only Jim Crockett Jr was and Dusty the booker was. Then after Turner bought it he named it WCW. Listen to Ole Anderson's shoot from RF video he ca explain it better.

  • @theenforcer1977

Yes,and and even though Turner bought it and changed the name, they were still a part of the NWA . And the reason Ric Flair took the belt was because he believed it was his, since he put that 25,000 dollar deposit down that wasn't returned to him. And that's straight from Ric Flair's mouth.

I'm done arguing about it. So believe what you want to believe.

  • @theenforcer1977

There most definitely was a Board of Directors. Crockett did what he wanted but there was a Board. At it's lowest point in the early 90's (after Don Owen retired in 1992, and WCW & New Japan left in 1993) the NWA still had a Board that consisted of Jim Crockett, yes that Jim Crockett, Steve Rickard, & Dennis Corraluzzo. BTW, Coralluzzo is the reason WCW & ECW left.

  • @theenforcer1977

BTW, Vince Jr. was never on the NWA Board because he never joined. He told the NWA he no interest in joining and was gonna put them out of business. He did a good job! As far as the belt, both George South and Nelson Royal had stated that it was a gift from Crockett to Flair. It was Flair's belt that's why he COULD take it to the WWF. WCW essentially bought it from him.

  • @theenforcer1977

One last thing, Turner renamed Jim Crockett Promotions WCW. The reason why is because Crockett was a member and Turner wasn't and the rest of the NWA membership threatened to sue over Turner using the NWA name. Turner had Pennsylvania promoter Gary Juster join in order to use the name. Turner basically dropped the NWA name from tv while still being a member so that he wouldn't have any problems with the rest of the membership.

  • @theenforcer1977

Yes World Class pulled out, Crockett didn't buy Florida, Crockett briefly took over, but Florida died on it's own. The UWF? Bill Watts was never a member. There were still other NWA members: Don Owen in Oregon, New Japan, Larry O'Day in Australia, Steve Rickard in New Zealand, Carl & Elliot Murnick in North Carolina, Fred Ward in Georgia, see there were other promoters. They weren't dead, but they might as well be now.

  • @theenforcer1977 That's so true. After about 1987 it was just the Crockett's carrying the NWA name around. And if you we're born 1979 and up the most you can recall about the NWA is the Crockett's running show shows up and down the east coast.

  • @1981CrueHead

Um, not true. Don Owen was very much still an NWA member, still promoting in Oregon & Washington until April 1992. There were still other members in the US, Japan, New Zealand, & Australia. Just cause the rest didn't have cable tv shows doesn't mean they didn't exist. You and your buddy need to get you heads out of your asses already.

  • @MrNWA4Life Well until it reaches cable it's not a very big deal. You gotta have cable or else all your talent is going to leave you anyway, except for Jerry Lawler because Memphis was close to his house. Besides honestly do you watch wrestling from New Zealand and Australia, because i'm sure you don't.

  • @1981CrueHead

Well even with cable the talent is gonna leave (ex: JCP in 1988 before the sale to Turner, WCW in 2000). I don't get tv from New Zealand and Australia but my point was that the NWA has had member promotions there and just cause you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

  • @MrNWA4Life Wrestling is fake and this happened almost 20 yrs ago and no one cares get a life.

  • @theenforcer1977

    Pinga Tu Madre

  • @MrNWA4Life If I can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, what like cancer? If the people in other counties can't see the wrestling in the U.S they are very lucky.

  • Was this a shoot or scripted?

  • @whoo689 A little bit of both. Paul Heyman and Shane Douglas planned this out after getting info that he would obtain the NWA Heavyweight Championship. NWA had no idea! ECW (formerly Eastern Championship Wrestling) was part of the NWA and this was their way of disbanding from the organization and becoming Extreme Championship Wrestling. A bit disrespectful to the history of the belt but Shane had a bad relationship with Flair, Rhodes, etc. and wanted to create a new era of wrestling.

  • The biggest joke was 2ColdJabroni ever being the NWA champ.

  • @don417

Um he wasn't. This was a tournament final he lost in.

  • What the hell ever happened to that ECW belt that Shane Douglas was wearing? It looked way better than the version Mark Henry retired before receiving the silver one.

  • Interestingly, Carluzzo wanted Chris Benoit to win the belt that night, but Paul E. convinced him to put the belt on Shane just so he could do what he did. Of course, the next week, Eastern Championship Wrestling changed its name to Extreme Championship Wrestling and the rest is history.

  • the story about this is in Forever Hardcore-basically Dennis was talking shit on Douglas behind his back trying to sabotage him from getting outside bookings and in person hed be like Hey buddy, etc. and that bullshit was what made him do what he did. Its hilarious when his tone changes when he mentions ric Flair cause right then it was on. and had he not done this pro weresling might not have became what it is today and especially in the late 90s.

  • Personally I would have tossed that belt in a trash can because it's a Joe Marshall (JMAR) made piece of garbage. Artwork is way off. At least the belt the current champ Adam Pearce has is a Dave Millican made belt. A Dave made belt is as close to the original that that idiot Flair pawned as you can get

  • Shane told me he was young then and has a lot more respect for the business now. Personally, I understand why they pulled the swerve, Jim Crockett was still running the NWA and still screwing the other membership. He made a comment that the ECW title would be the contender for the NWA World Title, much like the Mid Atlantic title used to be. That pissed ECW off, that and the other NWA Board member Dennis Coarlluzzo making accusations against ECW for sabatoging his shows. And the screwjob was on

  • that belt was a piss poor imitation just like the chump who is running his mouth. He was a poser then, and somethings never changed. What a joke!

  • @SSJCMC And yet, do you hear anyone chanting "N-W-A! N-W-A!" NO. It may not be around any longer, but even today, fans are STILL chanting "E-C-W! E-C-W! E-C-W! E-C-W!!":-D

  • That was awesome. Douglas is the greatest ECW world champion ever.

  • @1981CrueHead

World Champion? Yeah champion of a bingo hall!

  • @MrNWA4Life Yeah he was the world champion of a bingo hall in my home of Philadelphia. But it's better than being a world champion of haif empty arena's in the south. You know Crockett went broke with Ric Flair as champion.

  • @1981CrueHead Motley Crue Dude!!!

  • @RJW882 Motley Crue for President.

  • @1981CrueHead

Half empty arenas? Ha yeah right. Crockett's mistake was pissing too much money away. Flair said it himself, if Crockett had stayed close to the Carolinas, he would have been ok. 53 years of running shows in arenas in the Carolinas and ECW has 7 years of running shows in a bingo hall in Philly. There's no comparison there.

  • @MrNWA4Life Yup half empty, not all the time but often enough. And hey I love the crockett operated NWA. Let's see big Dust would say to the production crew, turn the lights down boys because there's no one here. The crockett's held shows in Phily all the time at the civic center and sometime's the crowds we're good sometimes they we're not.

  • Shane Douglas will always be the TRUE FRANCHISE OF E C W>

  • Regardless that NWA belt is a tresure. Almost stop watching ECW for a few weeks after this
