  • Probably their best song next to some stuff off of Realm of Chaos.

  • ULTRA MARINES

  • one of the best metal albums, a little late but unbelievably magnificent.

  • we will remember them.

  • This album stands the test of time..... For Victory.....

  • best song evar :)

  • -l-

  • We will remember them. 11:11

  • I don't know exactly why, but the way that album artwork is shown is fucking badass!

A photo of soldiers trudging through a barren landscape is one thousand times better then some illustration of a sword-wielding barbarian IMO.

  • @TrollandDie Exactly.

  • Great song. This whole album is badass. \m/

  • I gave myself a torn hamstring while stomping to this song during their live in Athens last year. It mattered all the same. Just a flesh wound. FOR VICTORY....

  • Awesome.

  • holy shit.

    that was awesome.

  • Nerds making badass music, doesn't get much cooler in my book.

  • The last album with Andy Whale.....sigh...

  • Saw these guys with Napalm Death way back in '92, then again on this album's tour. Great, great band. Still not N.D. but then again, nothing is as good as Napalm Death, I could listen to them beat on a tin can with a stick for hours.

  • There is no such thing as originality anymore...bands like this exists in our hearts, mp3 players, and etc...but it will never die....bands like Behemoth are the last thing we have to this kind of metal. But Bolt Thrower is still so much better....

  • @ShaolinDynasty There is still a lot of newer bands that make oldschool metal: Hail Of Bullets, Coromorant, etc.

  • @Brandonlym Hmm, I'll have to give them a listen...I did see this revival of thrash bands come around too...

  • @ShaolinDynasty They are really worth a listen. I'm not sure if you know Asphix, Pestilence, etc. but Martin van Drunen is actually the lead vocalist of Hail Of Bullets.

  • one cannot teach the formula of song writing that bolt thrower continues to be so good at . and they are so consistent and never cease to show any signs of dropping out of the loyalty to the fans and music we love so much ....

  • you people know why the bands like this doesn't get it's full glory....because we don't support them as those fags support those Metalcore shit bands....Talking about a band is enough to do....going to their concerts, buying shirts,cd's... I mean yeah you can download an album for free..but it's another thing to have it on original.....

  • @danijelciuss when it comes to downloading music, I do it for free. Buy the CDs later on. I find it stupid to buy music online like Itunes. You dont get anything but the MP3 file, which I can go to youtube to find.

WIthout album art, awesome CD, all that, its just a really good song, that lasts 5-60 minutes. and that to me is not worth the money. I'm not paying to look at paintings and drawings online am I? So why must I pay to listen to art online

  • @MrThembones I'm not talking about online stuff...I mean it would be stupid becouse like you said it does not have real value...you download an album...listen it...you like it...than order it on amazon :)) or live concert or t.-shirt anything.....

  • @SlitheringHate No. I do it to keep in shape, unlike the rest of the lazy, twinkie shoving fagots who jizz whenever they hear Justin Bieber. My family is a military family though.

  • @SlitheringHate Lol, well I don't wear my headphones unless I'm at my computer or going on a run for P.T. (a deathmetal run, I assure you).

  • @SlitheringHate HEY HEY HEY! I'm a teenage moron, I drink red-bull, and I have an ipod: but it's got bolt thrower on it so it's not a total loss right?

  • One of my very favorites song from Bolt Thower, such a good song with incredible riffs, just like always

  • Fuuucccckkkkiiiiinnnnnggg Rad

  • music in its purest form

  • Wow, I've heard of these guys before but never really checked them out. They're fuckin awesome!

  • I like this classic mid-tempo death metal style coming form the U.K if I'm not mistaken. You don't need all to throw in breakdown throughout the entire song.Bands like Death,Atheist or Bolt Thrower keep this genre pure and alive.Too bad it gets harmed by the later exports

  • @bloodyrockfire It is true, for example i used to hate the genre, untill i found Death, they are amongst my favorite bands now and i'm trying hard to get into other Death Metal as well.

Bolt Thrower seems to be good, but i kinda disslike the vocals.

  • @Videostar1another1fa The difference between Death and Bolt Thrower is that the american pioneer is style wise more elastic an technical however BT plays the ordinary style of this genre with a solid edge behind.Death metal wasn't meant to be an act of bragging by showing off with it as a pose of a weapon. It was intrended to express something throughout the ambience it creats for the likes of oldschool and underground serious bands who know it's purpose as well.

  • When world war 3 happens ... this shit is gonna be played loud and fucking clear when we fucking storm beaches and cities.

  • !!!!!!FOR VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!

things i do, listening to the 90's albums Bolt Thrower came out with:

    DRIVE FAST

    SMOKE WEED

    MMA

    TEAM DEATHMATCH (MW2)

    and CRUSH THE CASTLE

    DRINK A HANDLE

    GET A TATTOO

    haha

  • God damn epic!!

  • As daylight returns

The fires of hope still burn

    Crawl throught darkened light

    Sickened by the mournful sight

    Tears fall from eyes

Not sure what has been done

    Sorrow creeps throughout my soul

All is lost, none have won

    Fucking beautiful

  • metaaaaalll!!!! this kicks butttttttt@!!!

  • Been a BoltThrower fan since my HS days early 90s. Still have yet to hear a band that comes close to the raw power and epic feel these guys(and the sexy Ms.Bench!!) delivered on every album. Truly a legendary metal act.

  • i knew them freshly back in the days in 1994 ..... they r hard hard metallers , respect.

  • agree ! But i think its very good, old school its not coca cola for everyone, this is dry wine for us

  • fucking killer band listened to by me only a few days. fucking awesome.

  • as fire fills the sky

    we once believed in life

    now time to die

    ...for victory!

  • why are these guys so underrated!! its a sin, its disgusting to see all these Deathcore bands getting accolades from supposedly the best metal magazine Kerrang(pfff bull-fuckin-shit) and then Bolt Thrower tipping away doing their thing releasing classic after classic, ugh I'm fucking angry lol fuck you screamo you're destroying music!! but as long as there's Bolt Thrower, I'm content in music!! even when and if they do disband(I'll have a day of mourning) I'll always have these classics!!

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 to many people listen to deathcore thinking its good because they haven't heard real metal, just like most of the other popular bullshit music, musical talent is a dying bread my friend.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 I love me some Bolt Thrower (and a lot of death metal bands, for that matter), but I still like some deathcore bands. Sure, there's crap out there, but isn't that the same with any genre, even death metal? All Shall Perish is pretty fucking amazing and they're deathcore. Job for a Cowboy's Genesis album was pretty good shit too. Hell, the first Bring Me the Horizon album actually has some pretty awesome guitar work. I hate this stupid misconception that deathcore=bad.

  • @Metalcortaku I have given Deathcore a listen and it all just sounds the same to me, triggered drums that are out of time with the guitar and bass, repetitive riffs horrific vocals ugly looking scene kids. Yes you are right there is lots of shit Death Metal.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 I've never really understood why people give a fuck about the triggered drums thing, it's never bothered me. And I don't know what utterly shitty bands you've been listening to, but usually even the most generic deathcore bands can keep in time with each other. The genre does have its fair share of stupid scensters, but I personally don't give a shit if the music's good (admittedly there's a strong correlation between bad music and scene kids, but there are some exceptions)

  • @Metalcortaku Well the way I see triggered drums is that why should these lads look so good when drummers like Danny Carey, Gene Hoglan Sean Reinert all practiced to get to the speed they can get without triggering. I listened to Whitechapel, BMTH, Despised Icon etc... hated them all with a passion the only Deathcore band I thought that were ok were Born of Osiris but I still wouldn't be buying any albums.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 From what I understand, triggered drums don't increase speed or anything, it just helps make the bass drumming stand, it's kind of a silly thing to hold against a band (seriously, you make it sound like they're cheating or something). Not a fan of Despised Icon either, but there are really talented bands out there like All Shall Remains, The Red Chord, and Glass Casket, you just gotta give them a shot.

  • @Metalcortaku Triggers are pads you put on the skins of all the drums that allow you to hit them at any strength and it'll sound loud so if you tapped it it would sound as loud as if you hit it hard and it allows these guys to play really fast without too much effort, is that not cheating? and never listened to the Glass Casket but don't like the other bands, I won't like them I'm sorry call me an elitist whatever, I don't see whats so great, its a bad form of Death Metal to me.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 I had assumed they only put it on there bass drum, so that's my bad (though I must question how you are so certain that they do this on all of there heads). I personally think you're coming at the music from the wrong angle (looking at is as you would look at a death metal band instead of something different.) but whatever. I'll withhold from calling you a elitist, but I do think you are a bit unwilling to give stuff a real chance.

  • @Metalcortaku My friend is a drummer and the guy who he got lessons off of is a drummer in a fairly popular band here(Ireland) and he showed me how to look out for triggering, look I apreciate where you're coming from because if someone was saying the same about Death Metal I'd be pissed off but I'll never like Deathcore I have listened to it and I've given it a shot but I hate the vocals, the music to me is repetitive but as I say each to their own and good luck with it we all have opinions :)

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 well, let us end this discussion with a sentiment I think we can both get behind: Bolt Thrower is fucking awesome.

  • @Metalcortaku That is most agreeable

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 sorry man but gene hoglan uses triggers all the time.maybe he didnt use with dark angel but with death in both albums and in SYL.although is one of my favourite drummers ever!triggering isnt a way to cheat, and it may applied in many ways, such as "fixing" different dynamics in bass drum...so triggers are tools of sound improvement not of cheating!(i didnt read the whole conversation only the part with the triggers so dont blame me).OH!!!AND BOLT THROWER FUCKIN KICK ASSES!

  • @tismanasoutomouni I said that Deathcore bands use them to skim across the pads so its easier to play fast, sad truth is a lot of drummers use them to cheat and well in my eyes a drummer should be able to drum without triggers I know a drummer from a fairly decent badn here and he despises them and would never use them because he says that its cheating. andyes Bolt Thrower kicks major ass hahaha \m/

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 Metalhammer Magazine is the biggest metal-magazine on the planet. Kerrang is just scene-porn for faggots.

  • @SomeKindOfRetard Thats why I said "supposedly" Kerrang is bollocks and Metal Hammer is good but it has its fair share of shite, Terrorizer is my fav and even that has shite too.

  • @SomeKindOfRetard hahaa! scene-porn. that makes me think of a conversation i had about porn not being an industry any more, but a porn scene.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 it's because they don't want all the stupid emo fucks who are listening to gay fucking bands like esacpe the fate to come in and see good metal like this and start saying "oh yo.. i was just like goin through my sweet emo music collection and um ya i saw this sweeet band called like fucking bolt thrower man" and then they are like fuckin ruined and the people who actually care about good metal.... are just left to die and watch get are commercial

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 i know what you mean man,but look at it this way: would you want to see bolt thrower everyware, on preteen girls shirts that they got from hot topic? or being on every ad? Bolt Thrower gave us a gift that only a few will apriciate. unlike a band called As I Lay Crying ware all thre fans probly know only one song. keep it undreground.

  • @napalmdeath23 thats true but a bit of recognition couldn't hurt, even in the death metal they're not rated too highly

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 I love you man...

  • @godzthebest I love you too :D my Metal brother

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 The thing is, qualified things in life are mostly complex, not easy to perceive at first sight; so does music and I truly agree with you. If everyone were genius then we wouldn't call them genius right?

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 They aren't underrated... any real fan of death metal or metal in general knows how important these guys and gal are to the history of the genre. But I get where you're coming from...

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 FUUCK THE BVB!!!!!! OR BMTH!!!! BOLT THROWER, DEATH, OBITUARY, Y RNT THE CLASSSICS EVER TRIBUTED , FUCK SCREAMO, HAIL DEATH METAL FOREVER!!

  • @Killstryke725 Uh, screamo is just as underground if not more, than death metal. You're confusing screamo with mainstream metalcore bands.

  • @DemonX99 i waz saying fuck black veil brides or bring me the horizon y rnt the classics of death metal, bolt thrower, death and obituary r all classic death metal bands, everybody agrees wit screamo, i waz saying wat the music tat i like is death metal

  • @Killstryke725 I wish I could give you more thumbs than one man fuck all those shitty bands that like to dress up in make up and act like top grade cross dresser. Hail to the real music death metal is the best !!!

  • @Varibyss13 lol thanx man, but it pisses me off that they honor the classic metal bands like slayer pantera and metallica, well all of those r thrash metal lol, but THEY NEVER EVER EVER honor like death, death should be honored for the death metal genre, CHUCK SCHLINDER IS THE FATHER OF DEATH METAL they should b on a cover of a mag, BT should be on a cover of a mag too, also obituary, those r like the early death metal bands AND IT PISSES ME OFF THAT THERE NOT ON A MAGAZINE COVER lol

  • @Killstryke725 I know man most of these bands coming out today don't have any killer theme behind them or imagination. Take for instance Bolt Thrower, most of their songs are based of the Warhammer game. These newer bands have no real originality to them. Most of them probably do it just for the money.

  • @Varibyss13 for real man, i just wish they can have classic death metal bands that started the death etal society, but wat makes me mad, is that they honor possessed, just becuz they were the first band to use the growl voice in there 87 album seven churches, but they NEVER HONOR DEATH, believe it or not obituary, autopsy, those r the early death metal bands, bt came out after possessed seven churches, i should complain to the magazine companies. like no lie, i should lol, and i would do it too

  • @harvesterofsorrow111

    Amen brother!

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 People like you will never be happy. You're like the nazis of music.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 Why should you give a shit about that? Listen to the best DM band in the universe and don't pay attention to that gaycore crap or the people listening to it.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 amen to that brother

  • @harvesterofsorrow111

is called not giving a shit for the commercial kids and making real music. this kind of metal is boring and not appealing for those scene kids.

and i prefer to keep it as it is. when a band start to get commercial it start to make shit music without meaning and just "cool" massive production for those retarded kids.

  • @harvesterofsorrow111 I was at there show last saturday!! AWESOME!!! n I agree with you!!! \m/

  • hahaha Bolt Thrower is perfect battle music!!

  • the essence of war:

all is lost, none have won...

yeah, mankind truly is the crown of life...

  • Is the Howitzer shot missing from the beginning of this?

  • no, thats a different song

  • @abark heya.... the song youre searching for is *no cuts noc glory* from the fantastic album *mercenary*

    So powerful, so epic.
