okay heres 1 thing i would like to ask about a name of a movie there is a family who goes on a trip the girl gets kidnapped by a big headed guy with his bros 1 has a mask the other is a midget and they have a mom + they all kill people in the end the girl kill the big headed guy kills the mom and ends up in a lab where she finds a fucked up mutant in a big glass tube so any1 know this title???
@bobbylwilliamsII Nah thats not it but thank you/ it had a great scene where hes making out with his girl in hell then she turns into a demon then says "I'm a lover not a fighter" and he pushes her into a endless pit. man i cany find it anywhere.
So many people agree on The Shining being the No1 horror movie, not just of an 80s-90s list, but of all time! It's the one movie I watch now and still find scary! Other than Jack Nicholson himself - coz what an amazing psycho he makes - it's those ghost girls in the hallway... makes my blood run cold every time!!!! Mostly though I find 80s horror to be all about the gore, which isn't my thing. I want movies with atmosphere and ghosts, I wish there were more!
yea i mean some of those movies are good like friday the 13th, the shining, aliens, the burning, and return of the living dead but i would say a nightmare on elm street is the best 80's horror film of them all or atleast in my opinion.......
hey what is the name of a zombie movie from the 80's about a mask that is at a movie theater some chik tries it on and cuts her face with it and minutes later becomes a zombie while watching a movie? I don't know the name can someone please tell me?
10.Kinda Bloody 9.Zombie film? 8.Its just plain sci-fi and action! 7.More of a clown slasher film 6.dark science fiction 5.idiot,return of the living dead is a zombie comedy like zombieland! 4.slasher film and banned dude 3.perfect 2.this slasher film is no longer scary,i saw it 1.never forget this film here is what is missing: Tremors(1989) nightmare on elm street(1984) Cannibal Holocaust (1980) StageFright (1987)
hell night, maniac, dont go into the house, blood beach, alone in the dark(dont know the years, but i remember them well)demons, the boogeyman, the boogens, deadly blessings, graduation day, motel hell, the hills have eyes, just before dawn, wolfen, gates of hell, galaxy of terror(with the infamous maggot rape scene),scarecrows,c.h.u.d.,the beast within, salems lot,the thing, to name a few of the old school movies i remember fondly.not to mention all the tops,13th,halloween,phantazm,funhouse etc.....
@docileprimate same here....Chucky continues to be one of my most hated characters...*shudders* i can't even go into Spencer's without gettin creeped out...
Mine would be: 10.- Happy birthday to me, 9.- Prom Night (original), 8.- Curtains, 7.- The Burning, 6.- The House on Sorority Row (1983), 5.- My Bloody Valentine, 4.- The Prowler, 3.- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and tied for 1st place.- Halloween and Friday the 13th. Thumbs up if you agree with most of these.
@losbanosmonkey the toxic avenger is a great movie but its more of a spoof of horror, monsters and superheroes making it more for laughs than scares but i would say its one of the best spoof movies of all time
I'll tell you one thing- I disagree more about your choice of music to put this with (CHEESE CITY, if you ever made a sequel, 11-20, video you'll have to remember to go with that "You're the Best Around" whatever song from The Karate Kid) than I can't appreciate your list. The 80's is the most debatable, polarizing decade in horror history. Every movie was someone's trash and someone else's treasure (even utter shit like Blood Diner has a fanbase).
I still really like Friday the 13th. Return of the Living Dead naturally is a lot of fun. Pet Sematary is not a great movie but it's a shocking Hollywood horror movie and that's worth quite a bit. The rest I either haven't seen (just 2 movies) or I don't care about that much. No surprise. I've seen The Shining like 6 times, own the DVD, and saw it first when I was a kid. But I'm still warming up to it. It takes a while.
My top 10 80s horror films have gotta be 10. Creepshow 9.Hell Night 8.Halloween II 7.The Evildead II 6. The Return of the Living Dead 5.Night of the Creeps 6.Slaughter High 4.The Shining 3.Prom Night II 2.Killer Klowns From Outer Space 1.Troll 2 (hahaha jk) Friday the 13th
There are many great 80's horror films like The Evil Dead, Funhouse, Hell Night, Friday the 13th, My Bloody Valentine, Creepshow, Christine, C.H.U.D part 1, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Night of the Demons part 1, Night of the Creeps, Demons, Psycho 2, Hellraiser, Child's Play, Pumpkinhead, Phantasm 2, The Stepfather and many more.
what was the name of the movie where a bunch of teenage kids got tapped in some like wax museum and they where going into the paintings and fighting/acting out whatever scene was painted and the the wax figures where also attacking them?
What was the name of the movie where a bunch of kids got trapped in a wax museum or some sort of museum, and they kept jumping through the paintings and actually becoming a part of that sign fighting monsters and in wars?
ok can anyone help me find a movie about a group of kids, two of them friends, one the older sister of one of the kids. the pair of boys open up another dimension through a hole in the backyard and demons start to come through. i remember some of the demons were miniscule, and zombies came out of the walls, and in one scene the parents came home and screamed you've been bad before melting.
@mrtotheextreme at the back of the line, all these films were way better and more fun to watch, don't get me wrong, I love Freddy Krueger and all of the nightmare films were awesome except the remake but in my opinion the nightmare series shouldn't even be mentioned here
@TheThedawnishere1 uhh no, you obviously dont know what your talking about....nightmare on elm street was released in 1984 .....how about if your gonna post on here you know a little about your horror movie history.....
Fright Night was my favorite, but still, not a bad list.
