bohemian grove anyone ca....ran inside by serpent cult police sonoma police masons like our top u.k police.when we were pagans we needed rules not this type though.
We used to congregate outside the sweet parlour next to Grant Warden on a Sat morning.Wellington Place is still there, but the Dukes head has gone.Replaced by crap Social Housing block and empty Waitrose below. The precinct had a lovely Chinese restaurant, but i forgot the name?Anyone from 1980/85 Halliford school or Wallop 1976/80 you can find me at The Jolly Farmer Fridays 6pm,Weybridge or David Lloyd,Weybridge.
I recognised it as Walton the first time I saw the film in the 70s, as I've lived in the area all my life. I remember this shopping centre going up in the sixties, now it's been totally redeveloped into a Sainsbury's and indoor shopping mall. The old centre was always pretty dreary, it could've done with a few rampaging Living Dead to liven it up!
What a shit town.I drove through at the weekend. The high street is a car park and the Heart is still full of DHSS crap.Dukes Head now more Flats for DHSS.Woolies closed and the same crap walking up and down the High St.
Absolutely right, 'Heart' centre is full of useless shops and the whole building is ugly and disgusting. That's if you can even get to the town for the constant roadworks.
I have also been obsessed with this movie since a kid which in UK would be shown about once every 10 years since it was made! I was watching DVD last night and realised that Triumph I just bought , Trophy 250 TR25W , a red one... 2 of the Living Dead gang have exact same model !! hahaha The other bikes are Triumph 350 twins, 2 BSA B15s for the girls I think and Tom's is an old Triumph Trophy 650 Twin i think..its exhausts are high style scrambler types. Anyone know for sure ?
I am going to paint 'The Living Dead' on the back of my leather jacket now and terrorise Walton-On-Thames , then ride through a brick wall !! *Also* Psychomania was George Sanders last movie before he committed suicide in a hotel in Barcelona in 1972 ...!! I wonder if he was buried with 'the frog ? '.....
LOL! great flick - thanks for uploading this. Happy memories! Watched this with my mates when we were all pissed up - Punk Rockers, riding Japanese bikes like The RD250 and the X-7. BONKERS! One of our mates kept saying that he wanted to ride his RD through a brick wall (when he was full of Snakebite!). Mad bastard actually did it - dead, aged 20! I ain't seen him resurrected; I think his downfall was that he didn't like Toads or Frogs!
The Flats are full of DHSS Crap, the High St is a Car Park, the shoppers are the dullest lot out.Flash Haart Shops shutting.
Nah bring back the old days, with a parking warden,a policeman,Beales/Grant Warden and the Confectionary Shop in the middle.Mods and Rockers fighting and the Hop on a Saturday.
What a load of poop, i love walton glad it don't look like that anymore, used to be a dive now it looks the bees knees, even though im from Twickenham. I would like to live there but can't afford to.
Great days and meeting school friends next to that Confectionary shop in the middle.Crap now empty posh shops and coffee bars with a crap Haart Mall and crap flats.Bring back the mods and rockers and Jimmy Pursey.
biggest load of bollex ive ever seen !! all the rockers I knew never did shit like that!just abit of skinhead bovver, all taken care of quietly of course.
yeah lol just watched it.. and found it quite enjoyable actually, but in the description u say this scene is after they have all killed themselves, but in fact none of them have yet.
@PIGGIE58 Is this a movie where they all turn into cement and Die? I watched this movie on Elviras Mistress of the dark and if this is that movie i plan to buy it
The "plot" is a frog-worshipping sect who believe if they kill themselves (croak?), they'll be immortal. Well they are, but for all the wrong reasons! This should be celebrated as possibly the worst Brit movie ever-unless you can think of a better one???
Yeah...i remember going shopping there as a child.. I grew up in Addlestone..Someone chucked themself off one of the buildings there after seeing the film..lol..70's..those were the days.>!!
yeah probely but the gang didnt do drugs they were dead and Abbie was too goody goody but the gang may have did drugs when they were alive but it never showed you that
As you said..when ur dead, ur dead..Drugs prob helped many people who came to Walton and chucked themselves off the block of flats there to believe they would come back..
t5heir just plain crazy yet saying that i got stuck inside my neighbours 4 year olds giant dolls house an hour ago she can get in and out okay not me im too tall lol
I still live in Walton and the whole area has been redeveloped. There is not one building there which hasnt been knocked down including the carpark. Wuhey
lol, funny as hell, what a movie. I love the guy up a tall ladder in the middle of the precinct and I also love the fact that the copper saw the bikers and ran back to his car, was he scared?? he he. Great Movie, I love it when he drives his bike out of the ground.
Quite a lot of Monty Python's Flying Circus was filmed in Walton, notably the Bishop, the family outside the cinema and the Gumbies outside the town hall. Also, one of the "and now for something completely different" bits, where Cleese appears in front of a window blocking Carol Cleveland stripping, was shot at the same block of flats that one of the bikers jumps from in Psychomania.
I have now changed the name of this video from "HATFIELD OR STEVENAGE" to "PSYCHOMANIA / WALTON-ON-THAMES". Thank you again Solow79 and 01waltja for confirming that it was made in Walton-On-Thames.
Well, I was born and bred in Stevenage and my girlfiend is from Hatfield, it's not neither place to us, although it does look familliar, like Borehamwood or Hemel?
I love this film. What a way for a gang to be rebellious! to drive dirt bikes through a supermarket!!! Black comedy at its best. One of my all time favorite films!
For those of you, Like me, Who are dissapointed it's not Hatfield after all. Keep your eyes peeled for a film called "The Martins" starring Kathy Burke and Lee Evans. That was definately filmed in Hatfield.
Solow79 and 01waltja say it is neither Hatfield or Stevenage, but is in fact Walton On Thames. solow79 has pointed out a website to me with a pic of that pub in the film as it looks today. The mystery is solved. Thanks solow79 and 01waltja.
Please "omginatizzy" put us all out of our misery. What bits do you recognise. I think that 1960s house in the background, with the upper floor painted white, I am fairly sure that it is/was a pub. I cant remember it's name.
It's not a multi-story car park. I am sure it is the old woolco's supermarket in the process of being built. As I used to pass it on the way to school in 1972. I recognise That small car park, the motorbikes go through before going up the stairs. As I used to go through it on the way to the job centre. By then, woolco's had been built.
The naughtiest thing I did as a teenager was to race supermarket trolleys in that multi-storey car park.! Heh heh heh....those were the days......
