@PixDiks He does the advanced method for solving the rubiks cube (freindrich) which involves solving the cross. However, all proffessional speedcubers solve the cross on the bottom.

@YoshiShaPow hmm.. good question actually, they both have their ups and downs but i prefer the Zhanchi because it doesnt pop with the tension i have it set at. they both cut corners like a boss but the zhanchi kind of has a "rough" feel to it due to the torpedos which prevent the cube from popping. the Guhong still cuts corners but doesnt have a preventive pop system. my advice, get a Zhanchi

@cunningthesoulreaper Yes it was an official event and the cube is valid. Many different brands of cubes are permitted at WCA official events. Consult the WCA regulations for a definition of a valid cube...

am i missing something? has this guy memorized how to do certain alg's from multiple positions? it seems like when doing "f2l" he never has to turn the cube in any direciton, but keeps it stationary and just does them all. How?? I'm new by the way.

@Krustbox it's easy to explain. He just knows "mirrors". It means that he knows 4 algorithms for 1 situation, for each side of the cube, so he knows 41 F2L algorithms * 4 = 164 F2L algorithms!!!
