  • @borisoff22

Really generous words. proud of your attention.

  • Sarrasani, I am sure you have herd of the pianist Alfred Cortot. You play much like him, you have the most perfect phrasing in Chopin, just like he does. It makes perfect sense in what you do, and i truly love it. You make my performance of this piece look mediocre. Thank you!

  • @Martel211996

Too much kind, and thank you first of all.

I know and I like Cortot recordings, and (staying in France) the immense (IMHO) Samson Francois Chopin versions.....

  • Love your entire presentation physically and musically! I wish to play like you.

    Roger

  • proud of your attention and so kind words!

    Bye,

    Sandro

  • for my taste a bit slow, but everyone plays different and thats good. Great interpretation!

  • Thank you. Mine is obviously only an hypothesis: a great "belcanto" patethic scene (double aria, with da capo varied).

    I bet on this situation......

again thank you and proud of your attention.

  • you remind me of my teacher. You are a excellent pianist.!

    Chopin make me cry =(.

  • Thank you!

  • Wonderful Interpretation. I play this piece as well. And of course I play it in a different way than you. But this is the great thing about classical music. How each one individual's interpretation can shape a piece and a pianist.

Well done and keep posting your videos!!!

  • thank you much.

  • thank you much for attention and commenting.

  • Maybe you are right, maybe of no.

But the tempo marked is "Lento", and here lento (slow) I play. And, most important, I think 1) neither I, or you, or others knows the tempo Chopin used here 2) if we know (for an hypothesis) that tempo, one could (or better: must) play with another tempo. Expressive and artistic journey have origin before the text and end after the text. The text is "the play begin", but the play is of the interpreter.

IMHO "Chopin" is more a myth than history.

  • Amazing! I like your style. I've never seen anyone who plays the piano like you do. I can feel your passion and enthusiasm toward music. I would like you to keep going with your gesture no matter what others say.

  • Too much kind, happy some music fan and chopin lover appreciate my style.

Many weak points, but I hope also some strenghts. All the best for you!

    S.

  • È bellissimo ma non deviare facire.... well I find the hands movements a bit exagerated and useless

  • You are sure my body language is "exagerated and useless", other ones

here find it useful and helpful. I'm sincerely not interested in this aspect, but if you prefer, there is also an "only audio" version, probably better played. Thank you much for attention.

  • Well I do not find the body movements useful but surely I make some withouth even noticing it ^^

  • Anyway what really matters here is the sound and in that point you're amazing, you playing is wonderful

  • Intanto grazie. Ti rispondo in privato.

  • oddio davvero brillante, devo confessare che ho mandato il video avanti proprio per vedere la parte piu (seconde me) bella del pezzo quella di massima esplosione, davvero orrimo lavoro, azzarderei a aumentare un po la volicita all'inzio....

  • Mah, brillante....grazie.

  • IMO, the tone is beautiful, I like your sound, but why must you complicate it with so much unnecessary unneeded hand movements? I know the interpretation can be free, but Chopin is meant to be simple, and natural, but yet, your playing it as if you were playing Liszt, well, that is my thought, good luck

  • Thank you for your serene, motivated and probably right criticism.

yes, probably it's more Liszt's syle than Chopin.....

  • mmmmmmmmm. Personally, I think it waaaaay overdone. The constant rubatos and pauses become very tiresome. In the second section with the big chords etc, I cant hear the tune sing out above the chords. The last section with the triplets is very stop and start with lots of mistakes.

But other than that congratulations for getting through a massive hard, yet, beautiful work,

  • Thank you. I remain of my idea of Chopin cantabile in first part and of colour in th second. The III part...mistakes you tell,

I tell that the "not-aplomb" playing is a choice. But your tastes are good at least as mine, and then thank you for attention and

    critical but motivated feedback.

  • Fenomenale!

  • Grazie, sei molto gentile.

Bravo !!!!

  • 1) quello che leggo e intuisco di te +

    2) la mia personale esperienza=

trova il tempo e mettiti a suonare!

  • Sandro qui ti sei aggiudicato il parnaso!

    Grazie davvero

  • Grazie davvero a te, innazitutto.

  • That was so amazing. I can't stop listening it. Absolutely the best rendition of this nocturne I've heard. I would like to hear you to play other Chopin's nocturnes also.

  • Very very kind RexeL86. Thank you by heart.

In my channel there is also the 62-2.

Again thank you, and I hope you'll find interesting some of my other videos.

  • That was beautiful! One of the more interesting and unique renditions of this nocturne that I've heard. Are you a professional pianist?

  • Thank you, very kind. I hope you'll find something interesting also in other my videos.

I'm an amateur. Passionate, ambitious (but not fanatic of precision, as you can see) but

    100% amateur. Again thank you.

  • i know you call yourself an amateur, but let me tell you this: i wish many of the "professional" pianists of today had so much expression and freedom in their playing as you have. I have rarely heard this nocturne played with so much devotion. this goes to my favourites. Bravo, Sandro!

  • Told by you (I hope all you read here know the level of nikolaimetner pianism...) it's

very encouraging. Thank you by heart.

  • I am left speechless! Beautiful!!!

  • Very kind rodrigobrizuela, thank you by heart.

  • Beautifully played...I like your playing, very very musical and touching...

Lang Lang stage mannerism and facial expression are pale compared to yours!!

  • Very kind words, thank you.

I search here a sort of cantabile in the "belcanto" style. The little pause between

2nd and 3rd bar was requested by Chopin (vonLenz memories book), a sort of question-answer(negative answer).

The expressions...I know someone find them disturbing but it is not really a problem for

me. I prefer to not inhibite my body language.

Again thank you and all best.

  • You really seem not only to be congenial to Scarlattis music, but also to Chopins. Sandro, you play this masterly, profoundly and deeply. I love this record and you are a great musician! (I hope it will not become boring, if I repeat always the same, but it comes from heart!)

  • No problems, musicusblau. Both we are sincere

in playing as in reciprocal congratulations.

And these (yours surely) help to find motivation and convinction in working at piano. Thank you, really happy you liked it.

  • Somebody must hate you or is extremely jealous for giving you 2/5 ... must be deaf!!

    10/10 if possible!!

  • Thank you. No problem about 2/5, but someone

    posted also insulting comments....it's because

of this now I prefer to read first the comments. Really haappy you like these videos, and more happy to have discovered yours

  • What kindness Milene, thank you by heart.

I'll prepare a video where I tell why I play

with this particular phrasing and why I place a pause between 2nd and 3d bar.

In a few words: this is a theatral, "bel canto-Bellini" style nocturne. And that arrest was required by Chopin himself

(vonLenz saw this and writes about this in a book).

    Thank you again,

    Sandro

  • Chopin will love if he can hear this interpretation...

    Awesome!
