i have a 96 jimmy with a 2 inch body lift t-bars cranked all the way and air shocks in the rear for a total of like 5 or 6 inches of lift and im running 35's with dick cepek rims. my truck blasts through holes that half and 3/4 tons cant
yours might be a lemon or just neglected. my 94 runs like a top with about 135k miles. the only major problems it had was a fuel pump that died and power brakes went out but those were since fixed and didn't give anymore problems.
@Artyfil same here, I have a 97 zr2 offroad edition that has 138k miles on it and runs like like it brand new still. Shifts smooth, no leaks of any kind. The only problem I ever had was replacing brake liines
