I really like this. As a piece of constructive criticism, however, the only thing out of place was the person who played Big Boss. It broke the suspension of disbelief for me, as it looked like someone a bit too young for the role. Everything else was good.
i hope to god they make this movie. It might be kind of hard because theres so many different games with different story lines, but hayter will find a way to get it done
Not a bad trailer man. My only complaint is in the vid you have BB looking like Naked Snake/ Peace walker. In the original MG he was quite older. Other than that, epic job.

My Favourite is Metal Gear Solid on the psx, its just brilliant the story the characters the gameplay everything was spot on for me and its my favourite game of all time.
MGS has got to be the greatest set of game titles ever if they were movies they would win every award category going. To get great written storys together with the voice talents of David Hayter & Christopher Randolph is such an achievement for Konami, Hideo Kajima and hes team of experts! Utter brilliance!

It was a fan movie called MGS:Philanthropy and it doesn't have cheesy lines and an 18 year old kid who looks like Chunk from Goonies trying to play Big Boss. Good acting can make up for sorry effects, lighting, etc. Unfortunately this effort has nothing going for it. The acting is its most egregious fault. Now I know that you probably go to highschool with these kids, but it doesn't change the fact, that fan made or not, this is lame.

i downloaded the msx to play on my wii awhile ago. but my attention span can't take those old games as much as i grew up with them. they are good in there own fashion but dated.
Well, just be happy with the Fan Made movies, regardless of which country they were made in. Because we all know how bad some videogame adaptations can go.
Hopefully, "METAL GEAR SOLID: PHILANTHROPY" will have raised the bar on what is expected of the official hollywood movie (if it ever comes out). Hideo Kojima himself has seen that fan film, so hopefully he'll be on the screenplay writers ass 24/7, making sure that the movie will top MGS:P in every regard.

IMDB has it shown as rumored for a 2012 release. but given the director also directed ultra violet, I hope it never gets made. I think Mann would be the director to go for the project, especially if they were gonna do a twin snakes type story, HEAT in metal gear form, amazing.
i don't know if can play on your ps3 because mgs1 is on ps1 and mgs 2, 3 is on ps2 but if you really want to enjoy mgs please play to the other mgs they are great
As a production company, provided they get the rights etc, maybe pursuing a project like this could help their business. If casting limitations is the reason why all their actors seemed younger than their characters, then it may be a good idea for them to explore another area of the metal gear story, such as the up-bringing of solid snake, first-training, meeting grayfox etc etc. Just a thought :)
Don't understand all the harsh critic for this trailer. When it comes to fan movies this seems more interesting than the Czech "Metal Gear: Outer Heaven" which had pretty bad casting in just about every way. Snake sounded more gritty than in MGS2 though he looked like just about 20. I prefer this Snake much more. And I kinda like when Big Boss looks little like Kurt Russel :D (atleast he's not a pile of lard unlike in some certain movie..)
