While I still enjoy youtube, and some of the well known youtubers are funny and entertaining, I miss the old youtube. I remember when this was just a video site, with no ads, and pretty much had all unknowns. Now it's a business, where youtubers make money, and ads are all over the place.

what do you mean by "without people marking comments"? you don't like viewers making comments on your vid? If so, just turn the video comment off.

My advice is in the vid. If you don't communicate with others, others won't visit your channel.

I think you shouldn't promote your video in the comment section of other users' video; that's a spam.

What you need is to make friends/subscribers who will watch your vid. You can make them by writing related comments on others' video.

This is just hoax, guy trying to make you belive hes successefull, actually all his vids is pointless junk, only reason people watch them is because of misleading advertisment that attract people and when they see his vids they just run away (they could be not even wathing till the end of his vids.) Comment to view ratio proves it.

Also, if you want to change the thumbnail icon but don't want to have a picture flash halfway through, then just add loads of black blank space at the end of the video. This means that the 1/4, middle and 3/4 marks will be changed, and if you add the right amount of blank space then you can make your thumbnail pretty much anywhere. (apart from less than 1/4 through the original video)

Great ideas WindDance. Interesting approach to the video as well. I was thinking the extreme votes vs. view ratio was a result of the misleading thumbnail image until I took a look at your other videos.

When the viewcount reaches a certain number (about 200 to 250), youtube stops showing realtime viewcount. The system only updates the viewcount several times a day.
