Mutt will never take over because Ford said he will not allow it. I actually did not hate the fourth movie. There were flaws, though. However, I thought it was worthy of being a Jones film. I truly don't believe that having a son would really change his character in the future.
As much as I'd like to see an Indy 5, I don't know if it will happen. They still haven't agreed on a story yet. Spielberg just finished War Horse but still has to work on Lincoln for 2012 and Robopocalypse for 2013! I hope they will find a story by the end of this year and find a really good writer to get a script going in early 2012! It might be possible for Robopocalypse and Indy 5 to be out the same year. Spielberg has in fact made two movies in the same year many times! Fingers crossed!
Harrison Ford is way too old now for another Indiana Jones, by the time a new one would be made ford would be 70! I watched him in Morning glory and he's aged even further since Crystal skull.

I think they should start making scipts based on Indy passing on his whip to Mutt or something. And maybe they both go on adventures together. Just like the Ford-Connery teamup from Raiders. But instead, we'll have Ford as the scribe/mentor, and Mutt as the adventuror/muscle. That would work out great. Make a solid reasonable story, where fans get accept this idea, and stronger plots

I wish it were more upto date, but I can't EVER see it being a bad idea. Tonight on Late Late show with Craig Ferguson, he had Tom Selleck talking about a Magnum PI movie, and if he's star or play a cameo in it, which is of course, a bad idea, No cameo, reprise, always !!

He's still in good shape so I personally don't care what age he is because he has the health to make another movie. It's just whether they can get a good enough story together or not.
Maybe they can leave out the son and have him in a fewer scenes on this and make it more about Indi because with the son he was with him too much in the prequel and the focus wasn't fully on the main man himself.
I really liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I prefer it much to Temple of Doom. Really hope they make a fifth one. I'd like to see Indy searching for a religious relic again.
It would be good if Mutt Williams (Shia La Beouf) didn't appear. I didn't really like him - if he had to appear it should only be as a cameo role, with Indy telling his son he can't come on his trip because he has to finish his homework or something.

Personaly, I think if they are going to make another movie, it should have to do with Indiana Jones trying to preserve history...not merly a relic per se, but a history of a people, a religion, an idea, ect, and to exceplify the importance of history.
The third Indy is called that last crusade because in the movie they talk about the crusades. And no one really knows how many crusades their were so the movie is called the last crusade
Like a lot of people, I was not expecting THAT ending for Crystal Skull, but after rewatching it recently it is a solid, if inferior entry, if they do a 5th, I hope they go back to a historical relic.
ya and they ARE supposedly impossible to carve even with today's technology. there was a lot of cool historical relevance in KOTCS and they all tied together real neat. I'd say 99% of criticisms of the film simply result in people's ignorance or lack of knowledge.

They're not an alternate reality as opposed to being a possible event in that historical time period. 1st 3: Nazis & Hitler's obsession w/ Jewish artifacts & British control of their empire. Kindom of the Cristal Scull: Russian Comi's, Roswell & aliens, & the nuke were all historical events that happened in the 50's which the 4th movie is based of off. For some reason, ppl forget this.

Take for instance the titles at the beginning, same font, take Marcus Brody, college campus, etc. All three movies (1, 2 and 4) have something in common as long as Temple of Doom sticks out as having nothing to do with the rest of the series.

He's still in good shape so I personally don't care what age he is because he has the health to make another movie. It's just whether they can get a good enough story together or not.
Maybe they can leave out the son and have him in a fewer scenes on this and make it more about Indi because with the son he was with him too much in the prequel and the focus wasn't fully on the main man himself.

I really liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I prefer it much to Temple of Doom. Really hope they make a fifth one. I'd like to see Indy searching for a religious relic again.
It would be good if Mutt Williams (Shia La Beouf) didn't appear. I didn't really like him - if he had to appear it should only be as a cameo role, with Indy telling his son he can't come on his trip because he has to finish his homework or something.

Ithought all the elements were there in the performances...but I wish they would have stuck to the Biblical Relics and ancient Myths that turn out to be true... I didn't think Indy was the right place for a interdimensional alien (or any alien) plot. I hope they go back to the older style plots..

Personaly, I think if they are going to make another movie, it should have to do with Indiana Jones trying to preserve history...not merly a relic per se, but a history of a people, a religion, an idea, ect, and to exceplify the importance of history.

Like a lot of people, I was not expecting THAT ending for Crystal Skull, but after rewatching it recently it is a solid, if inferior entry, if they do a 5th, I hope they go back to a historical relic.

ya and they ARE supposedly impossible to carve even with today's technology. there was a lot of cool historical relevance in KOTCS and they all tied together real neat. I'd say 99% of criticisms of the film simply result in people's ignorance or lack of knowledge.

Yeah, what the hell, in the end I enjoyed the 4th Indy and would be happy if they release a dozen more! All the haters should keep their mouth shut about 'alien thing' being rediculous or 'too much'. One guy posted a really good comment about how the first one was about God's power to destroy, the second one about voodoo and the third one about God's power to give life or something like that so stop complaining cause it all boils down to pure fun and a mix of adventure and sci-fi.

They're not an alternate reality as opposed to being a possible event in that historical time period. 1st 3: Nazis & Hitler's obsession w/ Jewish artifacts & British control of their empire. Kindom of the Cristal Scull: Russian Comi's, Roswell & aliens, & the nuke were all historical events that happened in the 50's which the 4th movie is based of off. For some reason, ppl forget this.

@TrainDr101 And it is quite obvious that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull shares many, you might say, connections with the first and the third Indiana. Take for instance the titles at the beginning, same font, take Marcus Brody, college campus, etc. All three movies (1, 2 and 4) have something in common as long as Temple of Doom sticks out as having nothing to do with the rest of the series.

I hope they make a 5th, but I t hink 6 would be pushing it. Yes, Harrison Ford is in great shape for a man of his age, but can you honestly see him swinging on a whip in his 70's? Ford would be that old if they ever got up to number 6. I'm fine w/ one more, but a 5th Indy should be the last to be made.

Nobody could have been better than Karen in Raiders but in Cyrstal Skull her character was dull. She lost the edge she had in Raiders. Probably the fault of the script.
