A contest would be a very good idea! But like others have said, there should be certain tools and supplies used. I'm not sure on a prize but, what if they got a special invention request or something? Yeah, they get a video of an idea that they wanna see!

awesome man i had a contest once where i was giving away a 360, games, movies and a whole computer. it was fun. and then i did a live blog tv show telling the people who won. it was alot of fun

could you incorporate your comic strip into your video? I think it would be better to combine the two instead of fragmenting your viewership.

I think I've seen some comic artists who do videos of their static comic strips on Youtube. You could add voices and pan the camera in and out plus it would be quite short. Perhaps you could try animation as well. I've been experimenting with superimposing real moving mouths and eyes onto static pictures.

I think a contest would be pretty cool. I don't know if I'd submit one, but viewing other submissions and voting on them would be cool. Regarding rules, the videos should probably be between a minute and two minutes long, and should include a fully functioning invention with a demonstration.

It could work.

You could have two parts;

Part A would be that you create a video responce to a vid stating your idea/senario for an invention. The winning idea/senario would be featured on the channel.

Part B would be other youtubers trying to create something that will solve the senario or faithfuly emulates the idea. The winner of this round would be featured on this channel.

for both rounds the winner would be chosen by how many views it's got, the rating for the vid, and how many ratings.
