I NEED YOUR HELP!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THIS SHEET MUSIC FOR FREE? MY DAD REALLY WANTS TO LEARN TO PLAY THIS ON THE TRUMPET, AND I TRIED LOOKING EVERYWHERE BUT I COULDN'T FIND IT! HELP!
@sondors5 Sorry love, you're probably just going to have to buy it. Unfortunately, because this whole suite is very popular, you're going to have to buy the whole set together. But still worth it to learn such a lovely piece I think. Either that, or he learns to ear play it.
@jayone4 Ahahah, I myself am Italian, and although I feel this piece like something really "Italian", I find it hard to answer this question without thinking about it for some time. Probably the element that makes it so typical of Italy is the south Italy's theme at the beginning (from 0.15), a strange mixture of slight nostalgia and lightheartedness, and the general atmosphere of comicity and liveliness, especially when you hear the trumpets from 1.52 to 2.02. Sorry for being six months late :P
@rose7art If you want to hear other powerful music listen to Richard Wagner. He's more powerful in my opinion, but has melodies that aren't quit as pretty.

This screams tchaikovsky. reminds me of the nutcracker, which i beleive to be his best work. He thought it was half-assed though.

I was listening to this and my brother looked at the title and asked me why they made a song about a flavor of ice cream.

@jayone4 also, the use of trumpets and of percussions makes the piece have that strong Italian atmosphere

I don't know how Tchaikovsky was able to make music sound so fresh, exciting and romantic. He gives me chills all over.
