The gear in this video is the equivalent of ilvl 200-226. You might perhaps be the most unintelligent person to view this thread (with over 12,000 views, that's saying something).

Crit isn't what you want to itemize for at all. If it's on your gear--fabulous. Otherwise, you need to push for Armor Pen. Softcap (100% armor pen with the aid of an armor pen proc trinket, then gem strength the rest of the way) first (if your gear isn't ICC25 capable). If you have ICC10-25 gear, then push for a hardcap (as much armor pen as possible essentially).

Forte Xorcist has a cast timers bar. This gives you all your cooldowns, including potions and trinkets. Just make sure to switch off all the superflous class addons and to configure the cast timers (think its naturcast) to only show what spells are relevant to you.

heroic strike WILL improve your damage if used properly. i always toggle HS right before a bladestorm, and when i got alot of rage and my next move is rend or overpower (or both). then again i did spec for incite.

I have a question about AOE dps, when you're fighting 3-4 mobs at once, is the first priority to apply rend to all of them?

sweep strikes, cleave if rage is available, bladestorm, thunderclap if ur 55/8/8 spec, otherwise maintain ur normal rotation on 1 target. the reason rend has top priority is because u need the overpower procs, not cause of its damage.

Since I don't have a polearm or Axe and my armor penetration is 7%, I used my Ironsoul, which is a 2h Mace. and instead of 5 in Polearm Spec I did Mace. Would that most likely replace some Armor Pen?

It will replace some armor pen, however Armor Pen is one of the most interesting stats in the game. It's been quoted as having no diminishing returns, but Blizzard actually admitted that it does...they don't want people one-shotting mages (or feral bears for that matter). Use the best weapon you can find, but you can run the new 5 man and get an axe there :-)

i tend to find that i hardly use HS on my warrior because its on the next swing i.e instead of gaining rage from ur hit, ur losing rage (but doing a tad more dmg i spose ). So the only times i use HS is when i have like 80+ rage where my next swing will be gaining me only a small amount of rage taking me up to 100. A HS tends to be fairly good after a bladestorm if u have time cos overpower and exe usually proc in the bladestorm and MS is off cd tho if ur quick then u can get a HS in the GCD.

well HS replaces your melee swing, so over time, slams will outperform HSs...there are some situational times where HSs will be more beneficial, such as fights where you are constantly moving and can't dps all the time causing a rage overflow, but it's minimal at best. although this game is about exploiting the most minute of advantages, the risk involved with this one (mainly the uncontrollable risk like not critting or having a lot of procs and no rage to utilize) outweighs the benefit

Very nice macro's :) i think i'm going to be using a few of them, but slam i find relatively easy to use even in boss battles that require kiting... bosses tend to have quite a long range of which you can attack from and 0.5 seconds if easily enough time for me. And i've heard a few times that getting expertise capped is nearly as important as getting hit capped, i don't know if this is true but i have like 13 expertise rating and still do 4k dps. Any tips?

Well, personally I speced into Weapon mastry 2/2, so with this the Exp. Cap is around 18. Counting of course where you attack the Boss (always from behind)

I was hitting 22 expertise without any talents, so I decided to forgo Wep Mastery in place of boosting my executes (and getting periodic overpowers from the seldom dodges that may occur).

However, with 13 expertise, you need 2/2 wep mastery. :-). There is quite the crazy spreadsheet about it, but essentially, if you aren't expertise capped, your crit chance will be lower than it actually is. Plus, while an Occasional dodge every once in a while can actually boost your dps, a bunch will kill it

dont drop your expertise...if you have problems with your DPS watch out for heroic strikes...its very tricky to get them in without causing a huge dump to your dps, so just err on the side of caution and don't use them. if you want, send me your rotation in a message and we'll go from there

As an Arms warrior myself, the only thing id say we struggle in is battles where you Kite the boss. Its really a pain in the ass to Fit slam within your Priority list. I may fit in a few Herioc Strikes in this situtation.

Right..keep in mind another option you can use (if the opportunity presents itself, such as in the Ignis fight), is to take a step back and charge in. You'll get a nice rage boost Plus the Juggernaut buff. Not too shabby ;-)

i really dont see whats so good about slam, it doesnt seem to cause alot of damage, and its a cast, so while your sitting there waiting for it to go off, your enemie has a complete ease of draining a good amount of your health

the importance of slam: when you don't have a move readily available off global cooldown (like mortal strike/overpower/necessity to refresh rend), slam is your optimal move. It allows you to burn a global cooldown instead of just waiting for another move to be available. Also, while slamming, you are still performing your white damage attack. While slam does less damage than MS/Overpower, it is still a better alternative to doing nothing. :-)

well, i wouldnt say better than doing nothing, while your just standing there waiting for your slam to go off, your enemie can just go at you like crazy, so i think the better thing to do is try to move around as much as possible so your enemie hits you less, thus when you have your rage back, youll still have health left

I don't have a set rotation in PvP, but rather requirements. Slowing (Hamstring or Piercing Howl), MS and Rend have to be on the target. Also be mindful of what's going on. You could intervene an ally/re-charge the opponent. You could also charge an enemy caster to interrupt/intercept your enemy. If noone is around, moarrr hamstrings/shouts work too :-)

Have you tried making a macro that casts HS and then Slam? it doesnt trigger global CD and its pretty much 2 slams. Tho I am not sure whether it gets the melee swing in there.

yeah battle shout is a must. If you have a warrior tank who isn't as geared, you might have to slightly gimp yourself by throwing your good comm shout while he/she buffs an okay battle shout. of course this can be mitigated by having two pallies to give you their might/kings...but yeah, use battle shout in the end heh

Let me tell you something again.:) at 0:50 you use your overpower(when mortal was on ) don't forget Mortal > Execute > Overpower > slam- u need 50 or above for slam and when u have 70+ rage u can use your heroic strike .

When you have rend-mortal ==> use Mortal first rend can w8 but mortal can't. Had no tolarance for even 1 sec.(Mortal)

But i must say this-

Weel first off as a disclaimer I wasn't very satisfied with my dps test because of that messup in rotation there. However, your prioritized list of moves is off. Overpower is your most efficient move, hands down. Also, MS Can wait, while Rend Can't. Keep in mind that without rend, you won't have the Blood Frenzy debuff (or overpower rotation), which would then cause your MS to hit for not as hard. Rend is your #1 most important move without question.

And heroic strike is a waste of time. The extra damage from HS is not worth the replacement of a melee swing.

But, if you feel your theorycraft is stronger, make up a video and post it :-).
