this video is absolutely beautiful. i love the video quality. although To Claire; From Sonny was amazing, this one has no break up in image quality and transition. I can't wait for your next film! Keep up the awesome work
I think what makes your films great is that they appeal to an emotional side of people. Something that pretty much everyone can relate to. I loved your other video to Claire; from Sunny. I just saw it today and shared it with all of my friends. You have so much potential.
The only thing i dislike about this video is no Emmy, Shuwei or Henry... Haha, but other than that it was awesome man. But, werent you also supposed to put peoples names into the credits as part of the thing for voting or what not?
@austbot Hello! I have the list of names right here, and it will definitely be in the upcoming project from Shuwei and I (this film was kind of a side-project for a festival) we haven't forgotten! - Josh
I didn't really grasp the meaning of this video but it was really good and I loved it, and MY GOD the girl is so pretty. I wish she could live near I am cause she is so beautiful. Who ever leaves near her or go to her school is a lucky guy. Loved the video absolutely amazing.
just a bit curious, what did you use for the fake blood?
the short films you make are wonderful, by the way. sure, you've only got two up, but so much effort is put behind each that the whole of it is worth much more than youtubers who put up one video a day but talk about nothing.

@vivimchen21My favorite fake blood recipe is CSR Golden Syrup (1 bottle), red food coloring, a teaspoon of yellow, and a little green. Then put it in a spray bottle and then you can do cool effects like splatter and spray!
This so very well done! I'm just so lost on the whole story... She's guilty, upset, and obviously done something awful because of the blood, but would anyone like to enlighten me?
@MDOARProductions it took my months to come up with the script, but you guys literally did it in 24 hrs via just great filmic skills (cause your entire storyline is girl taking 5 min to rush out of house). So what's MODOAproductions and ennunipictures? are you a filming company or something? what are the filming background of the crew?
@simongenius1 Ah I see! I thought your storyline was awesome personally - seriously good work, I remember saying to Jade that I wished I'd thought of that haha. Ah well - MDOAR is my film business and ennui is other Josh's film-y creative thing and yeah we're all friends so we worked on this one together :)
I love this, not just because of the striking things such as the time going backwards and things falling apart but because of the subconscious thoughts in run through. Fear and guilt which granted are blatendly obvious but no one thinks much about the weapon. Because I am really curious, why the statue. I see some symbolism of something beautiful or happy turn ugly. And it is amazing for the end credits but why not a knife?
This is a very well done. The psychological struggle in Jane was portrayed so well by the way she was filmed and the way she acted. Bravo! I enjoyed this short a lot and will make sure to spread this so this video receives more views than only 1,700.
i loved this. it's very deep and even though what actually happened isnt shown completely, it says alot about the girl. shes upset...extremely, and her tears show alot of different emotions. jane....very classic name.
its a job well done, and i really really liked it. it's a classic, typical day in the life of someone who is dealing with alot, and then they decide to end it.
Whatever happened to the video you guys talked about from last year in december :/ where the working title was 'Words of the Mouthless'. It really sucks that even after 8 months theres still no word or video of it, WTF >:(
This is so beautiful. I watched it 4 times today. You should be so proud of yourselves, and congratulations on your prizes. Well deserved, indeed. Stunning execution.
Argh, I cannot stop trying to think where you guys filmed this! Everything looks so familiar, or I think it does. Living in a place your whole life will do that I guess. Awesome job for 24 hours work!
The strengths of this film are the acting and cinematography. The main weakness is the story itself because not much is shown (the murder) or heard (muffled dialogue) and left to audience interpretation which is a cheap way of saying "You figure it out cause I'm not telling..." Showcased in a non-linear type of storytelling but I'll chalk it up to the 24hrs deadline so because of that, it's good for what it is.
@theojabroni I thought it was cool how they chose not to focus on the actual murder. It was all about her internal struggle with fear/ guilt/ shock. It's not about being afraid of murderers, rather the fear of becoming one.
@theojabroni Cheers dude, for us this was a chance to improve our technical skills mostly. We ended up compromising our storyline for the sake of pretty shots and sound effects hehe, it was great fun.
Also, please don't let the comments discourage you and your team. Some viewers just like their stories laid out perfectly for them. They don't like using their mind to figure out the story on their own. I loved the complexity and I loved this film. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see what you create next.
I seriously love your work. The story was a bit left open to interpretation, but that is exactly what I loved about it. There are so many possible stories that could have occurred. Everyone can take something different out of this film and could possibly apply it to their own lives. Keep up the good work and congrats on the awards!
Good. Not much dialogue. Really a emotional piece rather than a literal one. I for one, didn't get the story until that comment above helped. Keep up the good work and just so you know the grammar for the title is wrong. "Make My Blood Thick" is the proper use.
I understand you were trying to go for something more abstract, but I think you focused too much on that. The shots were great and it was all well done, but it just didn't have the 'wow factor' in there. But whatever; Josh, you are extremely talented and I'm sure this is just the beginning of great films to come.
I love, love, LOVE your films SO much. I've written this comment and deleted it nearly a thousand times. There are just no words to correctly express my feelings towards these works of art. I watch these short films over and over and never get tired of them. Thank you so much for creating them. I can't wait to see the next one.
that ws amazing....i think you guys should make more videos..even just like to talk to your viewers and subscribers like just let them know whats going on with you guys and how your doing and stuff like that
she murdered someone, angry lover?...possibly by accident....or out of rage. she feels guilty and tries to run away. but she can't escape the reality of the situation.
What's not to get? Somebody in the girl's (Jane's) house was fighting with her and so she took that little golden statue and killed him with it. I think the man yelling at her was her father or her boyfriend and she couldn't take any more abuse. And then she runs away. It's very striking and emotional to me. Ennui! Keep it up!
Beautiful!
