  • what's the song!?

  • OK>>>>>

  • just no explaning how beautiful it is

  • very nice aquarium !!!

  • I imagine the ten people who didn't like your tank are international terrorists, insane, or else accidently hit the wrong key when they went to vote. This is one of the best I've ever seen and I've been staring into aquariums for about a half a century. the selection of invertibrates and fish shows amazing planning, discipline, good judgement, great execution and a really fine aesthetic sense for putting it all together, Fine job!

  • WOW.....this is one of the most colourful set-up in here. Very nice. Only wish you had your camera on a tripod with less panning and zooming.....very distracting, reduces the relaxation mood.

  • awesome tank my friend, i wish i owned it mate.

  • Where is this tank located? Is it in the United States?

  • I personally disagree with Kona. I also have grown up in Hawaii, and yes the reefs are quite plain. BUT they have always been plain. Fish are not taken off of Hawaii's reefs, there are very strict laws that prevent this from happening. Most fish these days are commercially grown and raised. The fish that are caught off of reefs come mostly from Florida and Tahiti. Also I think that aquariums are a great thing, and that they teach people more about marine biology and oceanic responsibility. So,

  • Not cool. Coral reefs are being decimated by fish collectors for aquariums. In Hawaii many of these fish cannot be found as so many have been taken off the reef that they are nearly gone. Fish in the ocean live many years longer than fish in tanks. Aquariums are cruel and mean destruction of the ocean environment. View the video "Hawaii Audubon Society" to learn more!

  • like Support Coral Conservation on Facebook!

  • Fantastically!

  • what kind of lighting do u have

  • fuck WMG

  • Beautiful tank.. HOWEVER, I'm sure I can grow red slime algae better than you! lmao.. I have a 75g that I've been pulling my hair out over getting rid of a bad case of Cyano. I'm beating it without antibiotics or chemical treatment, but it's a long long road.

  • @lycosa2000 If you just set it up then dont worry about the cyano. Check out my vid of my tank and you can see there is some still on the sand. It all went away by itself. It shows up in everyones tank during the initial cycle.

  • great lighting set up. makes the colors really shine

  • is that a sea slug a 1:12

  • Is that freshwater?

  • Is that freshwater???

  • wooow.. beaUTIFAL tank

  • I am setting up a reef but have been told I dont need a protein skimmer as I have two massive external filters is this ok?Thanks

  • @dcskelton I can answer that if nobody else will. No, get a skimmer. Skimmers remove dissolved organic compounds or DOC's. Your filter will not remove these effectively. DOC's are what Cyanobacteria or Red Slime Algae love. Trust me, once you set up your reef, you will have some. I would say that nuisance algae is why 99% people give up on keeping reef tanks. The better armed you are at removing nutrients from your system when you start, the better off you'll be down the road.

  • i got mine new for 699 with stand and canopy

  • you know you can put bigger fish in there!

  • nice!

  • what type of lighting do you use

  • hi if you want to watch the same vid with music and in hd watch it on my account ps coralite is it oright for me to do this if not ill delete it or even send it you i rendered it to hd on sony vegas pro nine and added some tunes

  • so what does that cost like 20 grand?

  • @ohweloveeverton Don't think so. You could probably put together a great tank (120cm) for anout 3000 GBP inc stock. Sorry I don't know what that is in C$. Shop around. Red Sea Max 250?????

  • i saw a 180 gallon for 1600$.

  • Amazing tank!

  • CHE BELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • nice reef

  • I miss the music =[

  • some kind of xenia from the looks of it

  • Great tank!

Can someone identify the red coral at 1:12, please?

  • Its a Gonipora

  • looks like a flowerpot coral, or a goniopora .

considered very difficult to keep as feeding requirements still remain largely unknown.

  • the red one behind it is a blastomusa wellsi

  • this is one of the best marine aquarium video in youtube ever. so pretty.

  • love your field of green star polyps haha. i used to have a 40 breeder that was COVERED with them. they can be like a weed if you let them spread to much.. Beautiful reef bro

  • when you say you had a '40 breeder' do you mean a tank for growing green star polyps or do you mean a fish breeding tank?

  • a 40 breeder is the name of that particular size and style of tank. has nothing to do with breeding. ?

  • a 40 breeder is a style of fish tank that is short in height but has a big foot print

  • i love your tank you should go cehck out my videos

  • Beautiful! I love the colors!

  • i wish there was music, music is much beter

  • You can thank youtube/WMG for disabling the awesome track I was using

  • i love that track it made me happy...who was the artist????/

  • That's ashame; but what a gorgeous tank; it's one of the prettiest I've seen; kudos to your expertise!

  • wow that orange gonipora is very nice.. i want a frag..

  • to keep the sand clean you have to stir it

  • lovely tank

  • how do you keep the sand so nice and clean? I want sand for my tank but i dont know how to keep it clean? Plz someone help me lol

  • how did you gt the gsp to grow like that i have it i my reef tank and its groing great just wondering if theres a way direct it?

  • very awesome tank, must be very expensive and difficult to maintain but all is worth the effort

  • the purple/ yellow fish (50s) and the blue fish in particular :D (2:28s)

  • hey man.

i dont know anything about coral reef's or any of this.

but I really want to make one, and yours is the perfect example of what I want.

i was just wondering, what do I do? like do they sell those rocks / plant life at stores? I dont understand at all, how you have all those living plants and the rock formations etc. any help would be great.

also, what kind of fish are those bright ones? I love em.

  • riceer, the hobby is a very expensive and complicated one. You really cant just buy things and put them in your tank and expect your tank to turn out alright. Anyone can do it, but it does take a fair amount of research, and quite a bit of money. I suggest going to a site like reefcentral . com to learn more, if youre genuinely interested.

  • wow, the GSP grows like weed in the tank, any problems with the candy cane in the middle? that orange goni is sick

  • I love your tank corallite, looks amazing. Subscribed and 5/5

Could you please tell me the name of that really green coral that looks like grass at 1:15? i want to order in this coral but can't find the name of it anywhere.

Thanks in advance for you reply.

  • Hey impossible thought, just in case caralite didn't respond, I think this coral is called star polyp. His is really dense and more beautiful than usual though. Goodluck.

  • Thanks for your reply,

Am going to LFS this week some time to see if i can get this coral... Being so dense and brightly coloured really makes it stand out from the rest.

    Thanks again for the reply

  • Good flow and medium light is the key to getting a dense stand of awesome looking star polyps.

  • if you wouldnt mind watching my video and telling me if i could do well with gsp i would totally appreciate it. some quick facts are: 5.5g with 20 watt 50/50 10,000k corallife bulb. the tank is about 9 inches deep. nice song as well.

  • Those are Green Star Polyps, spread VERY fast in more reefs, easy to come by, also referred to as GSP.

  • are marine tank setups pretty much self-sustaining?

  • if you mean do you have to clean them out or do water changes then no they are not and also it depends on the set up and equipment, although you don't have to clean the sand bed out but some people do. they are 20 times harder to look after than a fresh water tank there are so many factors you have to look out for and water changes are a pain. and it's a very expensive hoby? do lots of reading up before you enter this hoby.

  • i would say most people give up on their tanks after a while because you have to put alot of time into them to keep everything alive when keeping corals.

trust me when i say i have coverd nothing on the subject, there is so much you need to know.

  • ok, thanks though for what you did cover.

  • They are effort to set up but if you take your time and build it right they can definitely cruise on 10 minutes a week and an hour a month.

  • hey corallite just wanted to ask what type of lighting is used on this and what coral is that at 1:14? and is this at a pet store please reply.

  • that aquarium just pops, NICE setup

  • At 1:31 Is That Percula Clownfish And A Rose Tip Anemone???

  • omg. where is Nemo ?

  • nice tank what is the name of the greem coral around the white anthids

  • those are green star polyps right? ive been looking at getting some for my tank but the ones i have found are no where near as bright as yours. if you have any suggestions on how to care for them or where i should look to find a good colony that would be great. thanks

  • nice crocea clam ...they're fun. heard they like it on rocks, because that is where they're found naturally but mine keeps on wanting to go to the sand haha

  • very colorful

  • Awesome tank but lose the gay ass song. Singing about cocaine, that's great.

  • This song is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :]

  • the song says alittle bag of cocaine?

  • yep.

  • Fantastic tank BTW. I am setting up a new tank with LED lighting, I have been working hard to put together a combo of white and blue LED's into a matrix which exceeds metal halide and also all other essential requirements, to put all the lighting together is going to cost around AU$ 180.00

Anyone interested to give LED's a go?

  • LED will not give your corals the right amount of lighting spectrum which is in the 400 something nn. Your corals will not survive. IMO....

  • i love your rose bubble tip anemone

  • beautiful tank

  • Absolutely incredible tank! An amazing amount of work - well done!

  • fuck man that makes my tank look like shit

  • tanks lovelly

    musics even better

i'm of to buy it !!!

    thanks for the introduction

  • thats like really.......... amazing...... its so colorful

  • thats a fantasic reef tank.i`ve thought about buying a aquarium. is it much work?

  • they require some attension feeding twice a day the lighting is expensive

  • It can be.

Basic cold freshwater tanks are the easiest

Reef tanks are the hardest. If you're getting into the hobby for the first time, I'd reccomend doing a lot of research and starting off with a freshwater tank.

  • what is sps coral and lps corals,, what are they. what does it stand for and what tanks should each be in

  • Great tank ! Great song !

  • great tank set up..

...how much did that come to roughly please and how hard do you think it is to maintain out of 10?

    thanks

  • I Would Say (Just An Estimate) 20,000$ To Start Off? Just A Guess. And I Would Say The Hardness Would Be 20/10

  • Great tank!!!

  • Good song

  • AWSOME TANK

  • Your tank is so cool. But I love the music. Who is it and name of song. Thanks. Have one 24 jbj and a 47 gallon saltwater tank. Love it.

  • 2 QUESTIONS: . . . 1) How many times did you tear down the tank to get it set up like that? . . . 2) How many years did it take you to locate all those corals?

    Beautiful job!

  • The tank was set up once and it only took 2-3 yrs to find all the top shelf coral specimens, the fish were easy.

  • That tank is really cool!!! If I ever get a marine tank i want it to look as colourful as that!!!!

I just got a new Aqua one AR980, but it is tropical :)

  • what is that coral that looks like grass? Anyone know that is? please tell me the name please..

  • green star polyps

  • nice! a week ago i bought that gsp and didnt know it will look good as that. It was only $5 from LFS and its a size of a bottle cap. He's doing great on my tank and i can wait for it spread!

  • very colorful

  • that uis the most beautiful tank i ever seen

  • by far the best ive seen,GREAT job!

  • most beautiful reef tank ive ever seen

  • Your tank is awesome. New at saltwater aquariums. Have a 29 gallon jbj and recently a purchased a 47 gallon. Now I'm looking for a 100 gallon, at least for my flower shop. Love all the colors

  • what kind of pump you use

  • lovely arrangement and collection of corals.

    very good water movement.

  • thanks

  • harika

  • awsome tank, what is the green grass like stuff its cool awsome tank again

  • over 55 gallons is what i think mite be good

  • how big of a tank should u have for a good reef tank in australia

  • Song = Hotel Song by Regina Spektor

  • They should add some acros though.

  • How do you purchase coral, how is that done? Do you grow it? Thanks.

  • the pet shop either propogates their own or takes in cuttings from other people. what you get is just a very small little twig of coral attached by glue (or something similar) to a hard base, most people use rock or something similar to rock. from there, over time, it grows bigger and branches out. when it gets big you might have to cut off some of your own! good luck =]

  • madd song by the way!

  • Good song

  • At 1:52 what is the orange and yellow fish? Do you sell these?

    Thanks.

  • what is the song?

  • Your almost 10K behind me now, but David is catching me fast LOL. Lovely tank and great video ! Keep up the good work!Aquariums by Sissy

  • Very nice aquarium.

one of the best ive seen.

    =]

  • Hi,the best sea tank i see!Great job!

About how much you pay for all to make this aquarium?

  • I live in Denver and have actually seen this tank in person. It is hands down the most beautiful, colorful, alive tank I have ever seen. Frankly this video doesn't do it justice, and actually the last time I was there the tank had been filled out a little MORE.

Their placement of that Candy Cane smack in the middle of the GSPs was what inspired me to do the same thing in my tank. Except I have a Torch frag tossed in the middle of my GSPs, and that frag is growing like mad.

  • Oh what I meant by filled out even more is that it's pretty much wall-to-wall coral. It's stunning!

  • What an amazing tank I can't wait to start mine I hope it is this nice

  • Are those yellow back anthias "Evansi Anthias"?

How and what do you feed them?

    James

  • they are super nice bartlett anthias. They are very hardy as far as anthias go, feed them often with quality pelleted food, mysis, arcti pods, lots of zooplankton in general.

  • wow...that is amazing.

  • Beatiful tank.

  • What a tank! Gorgeous!!!

  • Can anyone name the other stuff in the tank that wasn't mentioned? I am very interested in buying some of these. Here is a list of the coral mentioned so far: Anthias,Trumpet, Brain, Star Polyps, Wrasse, hammer,Acans -? Blastomussa, sun coral

What are the purple, orange, and red stuff? Thanks.

  • can anyone tell me what this song is on here? thanks!!

  • Whoa, that tank blew me away!

    Amazing job!

  • please tell me what song is on this video...i love it along with ur sweet tank!!

  • The song is "Hotel Song" by Regina Spektor

  • Are you sure there are no halides? .28 sec in the reflection on the top...i am pretty sure i see a halide...but anyway the tank is awesome regardless of what light source it is

  • what type of pumps are u using to move the water?

  • what type of pumps are u using to move the water?

  • well impressive if there is no halides!!

  • Awesome tank! One of the best I've seen. Well Done.

  • what is music to this video?

  • I just hate seeing goniopora in tanks... keep that alive for 2 years and ill give you a million bucks.

  • Red gonis are much hardier than other species. This one has grown significantly over the last three years it has been in captivity.

  • I just put a million in the mail for ya... hope you enjoy. :)

  • i want whatever is pushing your water so nicely.

  • best aquarium ive seen

  • hey guys how long before I can add fish to my tank?

  • you should keep the starter fish for at least 3 weeks after that u should be safe

  • how do u feed all the corals?!

  • By The Way, Just How Much Wattage Are You Shooting Into That Tank? What Type Of Lights Are You Using? We Can Rule Out Power Compact, And I'm Guessing Metal Hallide.

  • I work there

it might amaze you but this tank is lit completely by T-5's no PC's no halides, there are 2 rows of bulbs i think 6 in each row

  • I Have A 60 Gal. Reef. Honestly, I'm Jealous. That's Beautiful Man. Your SPS Corals Are Freaking Huge, I'm Dealing With Frags. You Couldn't Have Bought Them That Big Either, They Would Cost Hundreds. Great Job. Love The Anthias. Love The Trumpet. Love Brain. Love The Star Polyps. Love The Wrasse. Don't Know Where You Got The Money Man.

  • this is a store display tank, that is why money is not to much of a problem

  • I wonder if they sale corals out of this tank, lots of difference in this video and the newer winter 2007 video!

  • The mat of green coral is called green star polyps.

  • the shoal of anthias are great.

  • great aquarium, just amazing, i have one question corallite, whats that green thing on minute 1:15, i hope u respond, congrats

  • It is GSP or green star polyps, dont get it if you dont want a tank full of it...

    Nice tank BTW!

  • Wow, the fish are all so healthy looking and active! That is a great tank!

  • This is how it's done folks! Props on the Regina Spektor selection as well...

  • Nice Work ,gold medal for you

  • Absolutely amazing. One of the nicest tanks I've ever seen. Love the green star polyps, the anthias and the hammer. Great job man.

  • what song is that?

  • m3f556y, not my video, but the song is Hotel Song by Regina Spektor... I had to download it after watching this vid.. haha

  • Thanks Stevo3310! I'm going to download it too :)

  • What does it cost to setup a reef tank that size with that much life? I'm looking to start one soon

  • About £2000. You can buy Tank £1000, Skimmer £230, Calcuim Reactor £240, Heater £25, Live rock £10 per KG, Water Test kits £50, Pump £100 and other stuff. But you would need to read read read about this before jumping in.

  • 2000 pounds, with that kind of live stock..think that's a little on the low side..I would think at least 5000..outstanding tank!!

  • Are you a member of "Reef Central" online? If I was more computer savvy I would nominate your tank for the "tank of the month". Hopefully you'll get nominated- your tank outstanding! Thanks for sharing.
