Fort Minor didnt "break up", Fort Minor was created because Mike had alot of lyrics and music written that he wanted to use but he felt wouldnt suit Linkin Park....so he created Fort Minor along with a few people under Machine Shop, it was never part of Mikes plan for Fort Minor to go on forever, Fort Minor cant "Break up" if it wasnt meant ta keep going....... if anything ya can say its purpose was fulfilled:)...hope this clears things up a bit

I read am article where Shinoda explained that he wrote the melody on piano, but when he came to playing on violins, he found that it wasn't possible to play it, so he used multiple violinists alternating notes. The violinists in the vid are really bad at pretending. They are even out of sync.
