  • thank u this is a big help

  • Zingggggggg

  • This video, combined with the other elbow drill are just what I needed. I have no idea why my tennis coach has not explained it to me this way! I had resolved that I would never get the hang of a top spin forehand and now! Can't wait for my class tuesday. Thank you so much, all the way from Lagos, Nigeria ;)

  • Amazing class, master!

I love the line: "Instead of a POCK, you get a ZIMMmm"!!!

    Thanks a lot.

  • Hello coach

i want to try to hit spin on the ball but i still hitt flat on the ball i start from low and bring the racket up in front what i do wrong.?

    THANKS

  • @gewooneerlijk Odds are are (and I've seen this A LOT with my students), you are probably not hitting the ball far enough out in front of your body. You must make a conscious effort to strike the ball WAAAAAY further out in front than feels comfortable, then dial it back until you get the blend of topspin and power you are looking for :-)

  • great video tks

  • @esaluso Thanks for the kind words - you are quite welcome :-)

  • Hey coach, there has been a problem with my forehand and that's that the ball has got good top spin but not penetrating. When i play a match with my teammates i find it hard to hit a killing shot when they give a weak return. Any idea how i can improve the pace of my shot?

  • @13141beizi Just type this into the YouTube search box: How To Hit An Easy, Modern Forehand: Pt. 7

  • Awesome clip! You've helped me out a ton.

  • @evangeliggins You're welcome :-)

  • 1st class demo!

  • hey great vids guys is there any place in australia where i can find your videos?

  • @Alumiss682 No, but you can order the DVDs from our site; we DO ship to Australia :-)

  • i just got my wilson 6 one 95 16x18 and this is the best video

  • This is by far the best Tennis Instruction. Thank you so very much. You both are absolutely amazing. All I got to do it to apply this technique. I wish I had seen it when I started playing Tennis, but it's not too late. Cheers!

  • both u guys are just great, all your tips have helped a lot! thanks

  • i am finding this video very helpful. i have continental grip syndrome on my forehand. as soon as i change my grip to anything else, the forehand goes pear-shaped. my tecnique is very poor, so i am going to practise this technique. i look forward to watching more of your videos sir.

  • brilliant stuff. I'll post a video reply soon showing what I learned from this lesson. :P

  • I love how coach Mauro admits he's not as accurate with the WW f/h using the swing where the finish is more to the side (not over the shoulder) - he's human after all!!! LOL. Thanks for the vid!

  • Coach.. why don't you show us how to do the Nadal's reverse forehand top spin shot! Don't tell me you can't do it! haha!

  • @thegothamdarkknight ...you know it's coming, don't ya?!! ha! not just the reverse forehand, many other "x" videos of "x" strokes are in the works... can't wait to put out some real different kinds, like my several types of air-backhand's "on-the-run" breakdowns, how & "when" to hit them!!... among a tennizillion other upcoming videos!!!... (coach Mauro)

  • I'm going to focus on this when I play tomorrow. Thanks!

  • @hawaiidispenser ...you are so welcome!!...I've been so much appreciative of your usual great feedback, and I'm very glad that our tennis videos have helped you with your game... and I love your use of the word "focus"!!... (coach Mauro)

  • @maumarten Thanks Coach Mauro! Just wanted to give you some feedback... I did "focus" on the followthrough last week and what you said is absolutely true, as always. When I followthrough up to my left shoulder, I end up being more accurate than when I followthrough across to my left side. I think it causes Mr. Wrist to stay laid back more and this helps the accuracy.

  • ahhh thats a really good tip! Windshield wipers in the front and the racquet drop. Thanks for the tip! Now i really want to start hitting!!

  • @AcousticLvr22 ...you are very welcome... practice hard and master it, and you can hit high over the net (clear it safely by 2-6 feet even) and with power, and still hit the ball "in" the court... it boils down to this: with topspin, the ball has a dipping down effect on its flight trajectory as if gravity just good stronger!!... (coach Mauro)

  • Great video. This really helped me out a lot! :D

  • @Emblem934 ...glad you "clicked with it"! :D

  • Good Job!! Keep it up :)

  • ...lots to do, we're just getting started :)
