Fergie isn't really a musical influence for Kat, just an artist she likes. Her real musical influences are Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion.

Oh really? Well thanks then lol :) It was really difficult to find information on her influences for some reason. I should have put more work into it. :)

Ha, she's kind of all over the place. She had different influences for different parts of her career. She also cites Barbara Streisand and Gene Kelly. Are you a fan of hers or did you just choose her for the project?

And I'm definitely a fan, it was why I was actually hesitant at my performance to do a song she'd done, just cause her voice is so amazing. :)
