@daveheel oh yes. this IS 2Step. but not the typical 2S you'd see at a social dance or in a bar-room. there has to be tricks & moves on DWTS in order to compete and to WOW the audience. Lacey has done social 2S before. she's an awesome dancer and a complete pro. but a typical 2S just won't WOW an audience. she did what she had to do. chill out.

@dancingchrisp rewatched the clip. i know lacey is an excellent swing dancer because of her dad and she call ballroom dance. but that dance was just hokey. if you're trying to compare it to the ucwdc type of 2 step, it's still lacking. at most, all lacey doing is spinning. from that season of dwt, louie and chelsie did a much better job even if the scores (from judges who may not know country 2 step) didn't reflect it.

@daveheel no not hokey. i've competed in UCWDC. it's not one that could be done there ... maybe in SHOWCASE div. but plz remember that mark was essentially a beginner dancer, trying to dance at a top level. was he as accomplished as louie & chelsea when they did their 2S that night? no. but i still liked Lacey's choreography and with a top level partner that woulda been a kickass 2S.

i feel like mark would do better partnered with someone else. lacey is a very self indulgent choreograher. she creates routines that show her off and what SHE can do, rather than choreographing to her partners strengths. it's very annoying.

Erm, if nobody likes her, why did she make it to top 4 in So You Think You Can Dance, and why does she have tons of fan boards and websites? And have you actually met the girl, because I have, seeing I'm a West Coast Swing dancer, and she's one of the sweetest and funniest people you'll ever meet. She's got a big heart and a wonderful soul. She has her reasons for making those decisions. Seeing that she's the professional and you're probably not, I think you think more before you write.

jamiezeleneglades, the reasons you listed are kind of irrelevant. just because she made it to top 4 on sytycd doesn't mean there aren't lots of people out there who hate her. evan made it to top 4 this past season and there were plenty of people who didn't think he was deserving.

and so what if she has tons of fan sites? so does paris hilton. does that mean she's popular and loved by all? nope. trust me honey, there are plenty of people who dislike lacey. idiumblue isn't the only one.

i've seen just as many hate posts for lacey as loved ones. her personality and dancing don't appeal to everyone. personally i find her rather self indulgent and obnoxious.
