I wish they would make the paragon skills better, maybe change leadership so that it get useful for more than just a handful of skills. Anet should also lower the paragons armor to 70 as they are a ranged class. This is a typical RA match with a paragon, they are pretty tough but they do are too slow and have too low spikes to be useful in 4v4, You can pretty much ignore a paragon in RA or put a blind on every now and then if they have daze.

Paragons are usually better in a group of 6-8. You'd be surprised how much better they can be in a bigger group :P

playing an assassin myself you must be carefull on the person playing the character as well. To many people play an assassin like a warrior which is a huge mistake, they are meant for hit and runs not enlongated battles.

I use my paragon to heal, kind of like a second monk.

the best healer is the one that isnt expected to.

for example, the shaman or druid from wow would be best healers, because they can DPS and if they want to, heal.

and ritualist can also DPS, and they can heal just as good if not better than a monk

they have way better self preservation in my opinion. i like to use VwK, most people call me noob and say its a waste of your elite.

if u bring a good combination for your other 7 skills, you should be able to keep your party alive for quite a while.

VwK is a great self heal and can actually kill sins

monks will most likely be targeted first if there isnt another high threat class.

in RA i target like this

Mesmer>Necro>Monk>Ritualist>El­ementalist>Assassin>everything else

Xinrae's weapon, Spirit Light Weapon, and most other elites are useless for a resto rit in RA, Preservation will most likely be targeted by a smart team or rupted. so i bring a skill that can deal mass damage to multiple enemies AND heal me. sorry logic wins

you dont use logic, you use untrue facts, saying that xinrae's and spirit light weapon are bad for resto's in ra. they aren't. also VWK doesnt deal mass damage to multiple enemies, it has the potential to, and 99/100 of the time they'll just stop attacking you and pressere another target, and then you wasted your elite so you could gain 50 health and damage them for the same. logic wins

Alright, let me tell you something.

I went into RA with SLW, rarely if EVER used it.

I went in with preservation, it got killed nearly instantly.

I went in with Xinrae, the healing was not good enough.

VwK will basically make you invulnerable to attacks (that arnt much higher than the amount health stolen) for the 10 seconds.

and btw, 1/100 of the time, an assassin will NOT stop attacking if u casted VwK, all they do is gogogogo 12345 and they dont care what is going on, blind, VwK, etc.

xinrae's shouldnt be seen as healing, moreso as a prot.

if you cast vwk people will stop attacking you and just attack someone else, and if they are stupid enough to try to attack through it they arent much of a threat anyways

Xinrae's isnt that great of a prot because it just gets removed the next time anybody deals damage to you. you would need to spam it to really do anything because it will get REMOVED in ONE HIT, so its a SHIT PROT.

Every Resurrection Signets are "rez"s, but not every "rez"s are resurrection signets.

If youre playing anything except for monk you MUST have Resurrection Signet (Not other crap rez he has) and use it immediately. He didnt, hes a noob.

Yeh, Signet of Return hasn't been good in the 4-player formats ever since they nerfed it years ago...it was alright when Nightfall first came out though.

Death Pact Signet is still a fair alternative to Rez Signet though in some cases, and due to fast casting Res Chant is fair for Mesmers if they bring it.

Speaking of which, it's not just Monks that shouldn't have to bring Rez. You shouldn't expect Ritualists to bring Rez either IF they are healing, for the same reasons as Monks.

from thiw view there are 2 kinds of rez skills: resurrection signet and all the other ones, including this one. Why? because res sig ress with 100% HP, has only 3 sec CT. It will not recharge, but RA = series of small matches.

WoW is shit. and don't say I haven't tried it. I had 2 level 80s. A rogue and a hunter. my hunter got nerfed into the ground and the game just ran out of content and they just repeat themselves with patches and instances. i wasn't going to play a game that was costing 15 a month to watch out sad hunter class got. btw i was 2k rating on my rogue and hunter. don't bother with calling me a noob.
