@dss103 Considering the only thing GOOD about Pokemon were the original 3 released (that were ODDLY similar), and then White&Black, ALSO oddly similar, and the ones in-between, the only thing about Pokemon that make it good are.... NOTHING! Once you've played about 3 of them, the rest of the story is the same, and I'd rather watch the FEW different plot twists on youtube. It's not worth buying another game for it and just to get a FEW NEW 20 weird-looking FaggyMon.

Atari Lynx came out before the Game Gear. The TurboExpress came out around the same time as the Game Gear

CD-i came out just a week before the Sega CD, and the Commodore CDTV came out before that, though its debatable on whether that's a console or PC

The Genesis and SNES with the XBAND adapters were the first consoles to offer actual online play. The NES itself could go online before that but not for gaming.

i remember buying the gamegear when it was a hot item..... looked so damn cool in the magazines, colorful and whatnot. everybody else had a gameboy, so i decided to break out of the fold and get a gamegear. to my surprise/dismay it needed 6 batteries and died very, very quickly. needed the adaptor for it like it was some sort of console lol.

and the damn thing costed about $188 from toys r us, i will never forget that....so many years ago

Underground Zone was a cool premise for a zone. All you Sonic fans who loved the Genesis games, give the Game Gear ones a try. I believe most of them are on the Gems Collection. They are not as good as the Mega Drive games of course, but they still feel like Sonic, and have the right physics.

Not possible. It has a 6 hour battery life, max. That's from my personal experience and I just looked up the official estimate and it's 5-6 hours. Unless you hardly ever use it, that's just not possible.

Oh man I still remember! It seems wierd looking back at this. I mean nowadays games are so realistic, the graphics, gameplay, AI etc of the top games out now are all staggering in depth and quality, so really any kid who never grew up in this era will think it looks very primative, but honestly when I think back to those times I still get a warm fuzzy feeling of nostalgia. Games like Sonic were so simple and yet so enjoyable, and I'm so glad I have the memories, it's part of gaming history now!

@PDzero Actually, there are other minute differences between the GG and SMS versions. Under Ground Zone's boss, for example: The bouncing balls don't vary between low-bouncing and high-bouncing like in the GG version for example. The boss music in the SMS and GG versions differ too.
