Popular studio vocalist JACKIE WARD did the singing for Natalie here for this nominated song "Sweetheart Tree" and Jackie Ward also did most of Natalie's singing for Inside Daisy Clover as well.
Jackie Ward deserves a standing ovation for the singing on this song!! Hear her also in the songs Wonderful Summer and Winter's Here. A truly awsome talent!!!
I've only listed to this song repeatedly on cassette tape when I was about 6 years old. It's so nice to reminisce along with these music sang by true artists.
This song was nominated Oscar best song for 1965 but lost to "The Shadow of your Smile" from the movie "The Sandpiper". Other unforgetable songs nominated that year include "I will wait for you" from the movie "The Umbrella of Cherbourg" and "What's new pussycat" from the movie with the same title...
i dont care of it's sung by her or not... but long ago i fell in love with her because of this song. What beauty she was .... and a realy funny film it was.
My mother sang this to me and my brother every night before we went to sleep. I now sing it for my daughter.
