at 3 minutes you said it would automatically save on the three grabbin tool and the other shit i have the newer version does it nor automatically select them ?
how do you record one sound and put it on top of another recording sound? my friend playing an instrumental from itunes and he just start rapping..or is it recorded at the same time? sorry im so newb at this...pls respond

Man just got pro tools 9 and its driving me up the wall. Sometimes everything is fine i import a midi file then add a instrument but then after awhile if i try to press play by space bar it wont play the stop button goes blue and nothing happens. CAN YOU HELP ME.
Im a Fl Studio user for nearlly 4 years but think pro tools is way harder to get used too i do only have it a few days do how long will it take to get comfortable and easier too use giving that i do have alot of expierence in daws?
@tmonk3y6 what do you mean put in the CD in your computer laptop whatever their should by instructions aka pro tools is not a easy program trust me but besides me and my rambling good luck lol peace
nah i mean where do you get the sound that is on protools like if i want to use a piano sound or organ? where can i do that on pro tools. thanks for the help
@Sarona818 you have to record, make sure the track you want to record on is "record enabled", then click the big red record button on your transport window and click spacebar, then it records. you have to make sure your mic or whatever you use to record is set up properly though
this is a basic example on how to get started on pro tools. watch learn and take notes.If you have any questions please ask im always here to help i think ty=that the person who posted this vid has a good idea of what he is doing and what pro tools is about

Respond to this video... you have to click the window tab at the top of pro tools and it has a list of windows to open. make sure transport is clicked and it will show all the record and playback controls, if that doesn't work idk what will, but whenever my record button disappears thats what I do

@treeisforme16 ok, well when i did this video i was running pro tools LE 7.4, now i'm running pro tools LE 8.0 so I can't really help you. try googling your problem and see if you can find a help forum, either that or go directly to the digidesign website. they post a lot of helpful solutions for common problems. hope this helps!
i go to file then most of all of them dont work..i cant save template..i cant bounce it i cant do i cant export anything bc for all of them a box comes up and says upgrade to pro tools m- powered which i bought so i dont no why i would need to upgrade it then the info in the box says.you have selected an item that is only avalive with the full version of pro tools.i dont understand..nd when i try to bounce it..it says. you cannot do a bounce when a track is record enable or input monitoring.thx

@treeisforme16 thats easy, just click bounce to disk and you can change the settings for the song. i believe it is an mp3 as an output but if its not just convert it
would you be able to make a vid on how to blend one section i have recorded into another section i have recorded so it all sounds like it is one big section without a tiny gap in the middle :)
