@Upsiditus7 Yes. If I remember correctly (and forgive if I'm out by an album or so) they used four track recording until Abbey Road because that was what was available to them. Which is pretty amazing when you consider how compressed everything gets when you bounce it down on those tracks and the amount of instruments they used on something like Sgt Peppers
