  • I love this song, too. It's nice how he and Chuck Berry used blues form as verses, choruses etc within songs. Thanks for watching!

  • this is a real excellant song to listen too and play I HAVE THE CD OF LONNIE MACK ALBUM THIS IS AN EXCELLANT COVER VERSION

    @kingwayne77

  • I really don't need a lesson per se; rather, a one shot video played from beginning to end @ 70% speed would be just fine. Thanks for all your responses, Ed.

  • Also, I only need the second solo. I am fine with all the rest.

  • That is way beyond me. I need a video to study in my own time frame, like the one you show for Johnny B Goode intro, etc. If this ever becomes available, let me know.

  • @edgeinmiami I might do an instructional of the rhythm guitar part, the solo has way too much stuff going on in it to do in a video tho. Look out for it.

  • Thanks. Definitely, I do lessons via Skype, visit my website link at the end of video for more info.

  • Very nice work. Do you sell a lesson for this? I am 68 yrs old and have always wanted to do a decent job of playing this song.

  • the origional version is listed but doesn't pop up. since you play can you possibly find out some how(i tried writin Channel 39 in San Diego) the name of the theme song they used to play when it first came on when they rolled credits. it's a really pretty guitar solo. can't find a web sight i can leave a message on

  • Don't know it but I'll give it a listen.

  • Great!

Could you play Tension Part 1 from Lonnie Mack?

  • Thx for watching, it's all fun, get your twang on!

  • Very good!! I'm gonna try it and other chuck berry stuff..

  • Thanks Mike, it's helpful to practice it to a metronome or slow-speed recording (you can make one using Audacity) and slowly build the endurance up as you increase speed. BTW looks like you are a jazz guy... I just bought a great David Baker book of bebop licks I'm playing now. Fun stuff.

  • Excellent man !!! You nailed it note for note. I knew immediately because that version is engraved in my brain since 1964 when I first studied it. You are right. Its not at all easy until you reach a certain level. Im proud of you. Tele sounds great. Keep supplying videos. Your new fan, Mike.

  • That's some gooooood shtuff man!

  • Ya, I don't have a flying V like Lonnie played but the tele's got that nice rockabilly twang. Thanks for watching.

  • You've got it dialed. Especially with the tele.

  • I Know the feeling...that was great! i learned mine by ear but it aint the same...nice work!...spot on

  • Thanks, it doesn't look that hard, but I think it's the toughest 2 min song I ever played!

  • Nice Job!!!
