  • I agree Pay Pal is shit and bent but in the Uk you have to use them, Luckily I got all of the money out of Pay Pal before they locked my account regarding a charge back scammer from Portugal who bought a one thousand pound welding machine from me, signed for the goods and then denyed delivery.

  • 85% of people on earth are extremely stupid no wonder the world is what is it

1-when listing block stupids that have more than one strike within a mont (u have the option)

2-buy it now? no problem make them pay right away (u have the option)

3-stupids try to get freebies and get something for free...guess what? no way!!! here is my advice....if stupids open a dispute ask those idiots to send back the item cuz if you refuse..you as a seller lose, ebay takes your money, the best thing is return it

  • I recently had a guy who claimed he worked out at sea and that he had an agent who collects his items. he wanted me to send the item to a different address using his agent. he then claimed he had payed the full amount and to have payed 130 quid for postage and handling fees. The guy hadnt payed and was actually holding his money until i payed out 100 quid for his postage and he received the item free of charge. i cancelled the order and re listed. cant trust anyone these days.

  • Puerto Rico has a lot of debt that the government owes, and I am sure they have a lot of credit card debt as well.

  • Even if you don't accept paypal like crazeenydriver doesn't ebay buyers can still file a claim though ebay. I know it happened to me. It's the same not as described as they can do though ebay. It doesn't go though paypal so if you have money in a paypal account they won't seize it but if they find in the buyers favor you will have to pay it or your account will become suspended. Buyers will get their money back if they want too. Basically when you list something on ebay you are bending over

  • How about this for an eBay story.

A deadbeat bidder accepts my offer to cancel the transaction. (I thought I was being nice)... After a while he posts negative feedback claiming he never received the item. I protested the feedback with eBay telling them how can feedback be left on a transaction that NEVER HAPPENED. eBay repeatedly refused to remove the libelous feedback.

In response I now file no pay complaints - no more being nice to anyone. Unfortunately ebay has a virtual monopoly

  • Hi, crazeeny, i used to sell stuff on ebay but not no more, i need u to stop selling on ebay crazeeny, your setting in a time bomb keep away from paypal and ebay please>from Veronica4576

  • I just need to vent. My days on ebay are really numbered at this point. My days of being a seller are winding down. All these returns are killing me and hurt any profit I make. I know we get our final value fee back but we don't get cost of auction back meaning photos, etc. I also got someone who paid last minute and then wants me to send the item within 2 days so she can wear it to a party which forced me to send express mail and hurt my profit there too. I just can't win with ebay anymore.

  • @ThePokerfacemama If they wanted it express you should have sent them an invoice for express, or just give the option. Glad I don't sell women clothes.

  • I watch your videos Joe, but you really don't give any new info. You are just griping about the same things or similar. The biggest disappointment is that you do have a small following and you could help change things, but you won't. You said it in this video that you don't use any other sites and won't until they are proven. Sad that is the typical view. Let others get a site popular then I'm sure you'll tell everyone...lol what you dislike about it.

  • I would accept PROPAY as a form of payment, but just like theweaverboy below me explained, its too much money to have a PROPAY account unless you are a retail location.

  • Sorry Joe but I've looked at Pro-Pay & Merchant Credit cards and they are more money then PayPoo. Unless you are a retail location it is too much money to use anything else. Google Checkout is good but eBay doesn't take them. PayPal doesn't hold my money of course I verified my account long ago with my SS#, and I'm a business.

  • Sellers listen: SHIP EVERYTHING WITH TRACKING NO MATTER WHAT. Also avoid any buyer with a recently new account or a low feedback score (below 10). The new generation of buyers/scammers are aware of the fraudulent charge backs and will file a claim for expensive items and the sellers always lose. Ebay does not care about sellers anymore so you gotta protect yourself.

  • you cant have 4 unpaid strikes from the same seller

this guy knows nothing about ebay

  • nobody got ripped off by ebay.

the problem is you sellers dont know how to sell on ebay

stop the hating on ebay, they help make you money

  • @badddandy It used to be equal but so much for that. I hope everyone that hand a hand in making that video for "buyer protection" gets C-Diff. Basically it lets the buyer know right or wrong they are right, and can A2M sellers. There are scammers that try to hustles and it isn't going to be $10-$20. Sellers have zero defense. EBay wants more people to use the site and that is nice, but what about the current members? They are exploiting people and hopefully someone is going kick in the nutz!

  • That 0 feedback bidder is tremendously stupid, so please don't stop making these videos!

  • I got scammed by false paypal disputes and now I owe paypal 350$.

  • @tony1572 I hope you emptied your paypal account before the scam. even if you did they can still charge the credit card that you pay your ebay fees with. this is such an unfair monopoly i predict that paypal will collapse like a house of cards sooner or later

  • @crazeenydriver but then can't you dispute the charge with your credit card company? Can't they do a chargeback for you? Anyway I hear people say they leave their negative balance for infinity but doesn't Paypal then take action with collections and also, is there interest that they start to charge on it as well?

  • @crazeenydriver I'm a seller on ebay buy/sell electronics and oh my gosh I feel you, I have been in every situation your tell us in your videos

  • @tony1572 I'm in the same situation as you.

  • @tony1572 well same thing happen too me, some asshole brought my item, (alienware latest series) laptop total $1850, so The next day i sent it off well packed special, and the asshole gets it the Next day and does a dispute states he only got a old pentium-3 laptop, and Guess what the Buyer wins the case 3 days later and gets His Money back and Ebay put my paypal account straight in the RED, i couldn't believe it and now small claims court is involved fuck knows how i will win crazy

  • I already commented on this video, but I wanted to say it's downright depressing what ebay has become. I used to sell several items a month. Now I tend to stay away until I have to sell something to pay a bill, etc. (to me, ebay is now a desperate measure for desperate times). Oh, and in response to some of the snark on here: Keep your videos unedited. Your true fans aren't here to be entertained by flashy effects. Don't make us break into song, but we love you just the way you are. :)

  • @tracyblogger thank you Tracy for the kind words. In fact, because of you and some other loyal friends I am planning to push through another ebay video as soon as next week, expounding on what I discussed here and addressing some other ebay issues as well

  • @crazeenydriver Don't forget us new folks who are addicted to your channel as well... can't wait for the next video!

  • @ThePokerfacemama hey how are you doing? I am hoping to bang out another ebay vid next week, as more issues need to be addressed

  • @crazeenydriver Yes your right John Donahoe is CEO.You know he used to be with Price Waterhouse in Chicago. His birth day is 4/30/60 It is reported he makes 13.2 million a year .Depending on his stock.Thats right boys and girls,a lot of bananas for Tallboy 6.Guys buy one share of stock and lets elected Crazeenydriver to replace Donahoe In 18 to 24 months we will meet at the stock holders meeting. There is one ever year open to stock owners only.

    RecallDonahoe

  • You know what else sucks, I've been on Ebay for 5 years and sold well over 20 items problem free. Now they hold my money I get from sales for 21 days????? What a bunch of horse shit :( I'm not a new member so why are they treating me like some retarded step child. Once again they favor the buyer big surprise there eh! I'M REALLY STARTING TO HATE EBAY AND PAYPAL

  • I agree with you whole heatedly about zero feedback "buyers". It goes one step further, those zero feedback scammers just want free stuff or they just like having something in their hand for a day but then want to simply return it. eBay does allow buyers remorse returns...they even have a video reassuring these types of people, check the video on my page....

  • I made a few transactions with Bonanza. I think that might be the next Ebay and they would gladly accept my new Propay account.

  • If ebay would divorce paypal it can redeem itself as a company. Otherwise they are going down with the Titanic because it's only a matter of time for Paypal to get away with what they do. I smell another class action lawsuit.

  • It's anyone selling on Amazon? if so please tell how you're doing, i am really thinking about moving over there..

  • @mcLominero - In my experience, Amazon is great if you're selling books (and keep in mind THEY regulate what shipping you can charge) -- however, they don't allow the sale of a lot of items from private sellers -- including clothing -- new or otherwise. :(

  • 2011 I mean Date typo.

  • Block all 1 feedback bidders now, they are on-to us sellers that block the zero feedbackers.. Check the bidder's ID history to find out when they joined ebay and how many times they changed their user ID. If your 1 feedbacker bids on your item in 2001, (joined in 2007) for example and only has 1 transaction on his record, he is a "1" feedback screwer.. Watch my videos!

  • @ebayisajoke hey Chuck can we totally block them, or just limit the amount of items they bid on to one item? cause thats the impression I am under

  • @crazeenydriver You can't block zero feedback bidders persay, I mean block them when you see them bidding on your item. Block the user ID first, then go back in to your auction and cancel their bids. Sometimes you get an email asking why you blocked them. I just let them know that from the looks of their history or having no history on ebay I can't sell to you. Draw back to doing that is if ebay is monitoring your account's emails, they may not like that. So you have to send them a kind email.

  • Crazeebydriver do not stereotype us Puerto Ricans. I have been following you on YouTube for more than a year, maybe even two. I'm also a seller and a buyer on eBay with 100% excellent feedback. Never had a neg on my account. I'm an honest seller and I pay for what I bid. Do not advertise blocking people from Puerto Rico. Its unfair. How can you stand behind such statement? I'm one of your students from Puerto Rico. I even watch your videos in my big screen LCD LED TV with my girlfriend. Retract

  • @Gingymann hi Gingymann. nice to hear from you, just wondering why I never heard from you before, I mean considering you have been watching for 2 years. Anyhow sorry to say I do get too many unpaid items from PR and thats a fact. If you read the comments below you will see that other ppl even advised me how to block them, as they themselves had problems. Now if a person from PR asks me if they can purchase an item from me, i will deal on a case by case basis, however I cannot risk

  • @Gingymann BIG SCREEN LCD/LED TV WHICH IS IT YOU Lier... You need to be blocked just for lying.

  • @ebayisajoke LED TVs are a type of LCD TVs with a different light panel. LED TVs are not like PLASMAs, which are a "species" of their own compared to the LCD. In other words, LED is like a "sub-species" of LCD. Hope you understand a little bit of science, since you dont understand technology. Stop hating and go learn something.

  • @Gingymann blocked you already.

  • To answer your final question. I am a top rated seller. Top rated sellers get a 20% discount on ebay fees. My fees are over 1,000$ per month so I save 200 a month being a top rated seller. I offer refunds for any reason. I figure if they want a refund they'll get it and they don't even have to pay though paypal. Ebay will refund their money and debit your account. I have had well over 20,000 transactions and I've only been screwed a few times. I've had very good luck with ebay and paypal

  • You scared me. I thought you were going to say this is your last ebay video -- as in EVER. Keep up the good (great) work!

  • @tracyblogger hi Tracey thanks for the kind words. I have no intention of ever leaving youtube, unless some deadbeat bidder on ebay kills me :-)

  • Thanks Joe, I'm still watching your videos Great vlog, I never went back to ebay so I really don't know much about their policy any more, but I can imagine the stress and the drama ebay brings to their sellers....No thanks!

  • @GrayRealities hey Rob glad you're still here. I would like to see you start selling on ebay again, then you could make ebay videos and I could learn about some of your deadbeat buyers as well ^-^

  • Hi crazy newyork what merchant account do you recommend and what have your experience have been with them

  • @todotechno1 you can either apply online for a merchant account or you can go to your local bank where you have an account and apply there.

  • @crazeenydriver Having an account is one thing, you need to pay for a gateway is another. Then you have sign up to Discover, AMEX and give them your account numbers!. Merchant accounts on ebay are done through paypal system. This is why they are buying up the merchant systems.

  • Bro this isn't live TV. All ya had to do was restart your video lol. You seem to have a LOT of problems selling. Seems to me that most are because you don't accept PayPal. Anyway good video.

  • @DynamiteDan1 siryessir its true most ppl want to pay with paypal. like i have said before, i would rather have 100 deadbeat bidders than have 1 paypal scammer do an unfair chargeback [where he gets his money back and keeps my item] so yeah, i'll keep on truckin'

  • pt6....I for one would never attempt to list a used cell phone! It's a known haunt for idiots to bid up, then screw up auctions!... Sorry to rant on Joe, but your generalisation pissed me off..! Chill out and make a decision! BE more pro active with customer service.. Try ' I'm very sorry, as described, we don't accept ###, but we do take ###, here's how we can help to.......etc' rather than negative messages....it's not fucking rocket science Joe!

  • @pcferret dear sir or madam, you are entitled to your opinion or, er, rant as the case may be. but it would be better served if you made a video on this topic [top rated sellers] now you just watched my vid where i called out top rated sellers selling counterfeit goods. I reiterate that and stand by it. however, did you miss the part where I said NOT ALL top rated sellers were this way? Also, what was the reference to used cell phones? I did not quite get that.

  • @crazeenydriver I'm guessing you didn't listen back through your own video. At NO POINT do you say that not all top rated sellers are like this....that comment refered to zero feedbackers. I was a keen follower until now, as you seem at least to be passionate on the subject, but more and more, I'm finding the info in your videos to be not just repetitive, but very inaccurate. As links here are not allowed here, please google - wordpress pwa provide great customer service

  • @crazeenydriver Oh....and as for the 'dear sir or madam'.... just click on the profile link....this is the research I'm talking about!

  • Pt5.... utter idiots, and realise that, not dealing outside of the USA, you will be dealing almost solely with Americans......this does not paint a very good picture of Americans....AND I KNOW THIS IS NOT TRUE! Many of my friends are American, many of my customers are American, I Have been to the USA many times and I love your country......But Joe! you need to lighten up. As I say, you know, (or should know) how to minimise the effect of assholes who fuck around on ebay....(cont)

  • pt4.. YES I do value your business, and as a rule, If I'm doing things right, then I should have few problems! I ship worldwide (apart from Italy as there post office is so shit I've given up) from the UK, roughly 30% UK, 30% USA, 20% Australia, 15% Other Europe, and the rest.. Japan and the likes. I've had a couple of piss takers in the last 5 years, and a couple of idiots, and with antiques, condition description is very VERY important. But so Very few! I understand that people can be (cont)

  • Craigslist.. local simple direct :)

  • Pt3 ...are few and mostly innefective. But for you to generalise in the way you have! Put it this way..I am a top rated seller (PM me if you want my ebay ID, I'd be happy to give it to you) I sell some low cost items, and some high cost items, my main problem, and that is a VERY small problem, is with the odd item being broken in transit! I think this is because I am not afraid to offer a level of customer service that says..YES, I will help, YES, I do respect you as a customer (cont)

  • Pt2... If you're not happy with the sales environment....DON'T USE IT!...I couldn't agree more, that ebay, and related fees (In the UK, as a business seller we MUST offer paypal...no questions, it MUST be available!!! Period) are going crazy, but if I have an item (I sell antiques) that my experience tells me won't turn a profit on ebay.......I sell it somewhere else! as works to other way too, some items are better suited to ebay, as that gives a wider market place. I agree, alternatives (cont)

  • Joe, I'll fall out with you now! I was agreeing with you on most points, but as a top rated seller, your generalisation is fucking outrageous! You do moan about deadbeat buyers...I agree! But how much of this are you bringing on yourself? you wont do this, you wont do that, you wont....etc...etc..etc! Joe, you know the environment you are selling in, there are ways to protect yourself...! Try applying a level of customer service? I have less than 0.1% of sales go bad... (pt 1)

  • This is why with "bin" items i always "requiere immed. pmt" or elset hey cant buy it. that will solve alot of ur problems u seem to have. and boy u have alot of problems. with ebay. lol

i'm a ny'r myself but dam it crazee demand immed pmt and problem solved.

  • @dayone54 sorry sir or madam that will not work. that only works for people who use the dreaded paypal, which i will never take. if you had watched my earlier videos you would know this. none the less its good to see another na yawker in the room

  • I have 3 feedback on Ebay, people are not leaving feedback for me. I ship fast and give quick responses, still no feedback :(

  • I'm almost certain, just off the top of my head, that you can block people from Puerto Rico. I'm new to selling at ebay, but I usually set my exclusions list so that only people in the continental US can bid. I think that marking US Protectorates on your exclusions list blocks places including Puerto Rico. I could be wrong though.

  • I have a question about blocking someone from another country, maybe its only for auction style listings, sometimes i buy items from Germany, sometimes when i go to purchase the item it tells me that "this seller does not ship to usa addresses"- Message and error from ebay.

Do you know anything about that?

  • Just add a restriction to Puerto Rico when you list your item, its easy.

  • How to Block People From Puerto Rico: Go to you account tab then click site preferences. Then click shipping preferences, then exclude shipping locations. Under "Domestic" check the box that says "US Protectorates" and buyers from Puerto Rico will no longer be able to buy your items.

  • @EJBRedsox t/y sir. i have updated my preferences. you rock EJB

  • Anyway, I sold this guy a $400 Item, I packed it and gave the box to the UPS desk at Staples. 7 days later the buyer contacted me and told me that he never got his package, I looked at the tracking number and my beloved package was somewhere in Pennsylvania for the past 5 days. I called UPS and they said the package was officially "lost". I returned the seller their money saying the package was lost. That jerk gave me negative feedback for something that was not even my fault!!!

  • @cccplt you did the right thing. sometimes stuff like that happens, you just have to make it sound sweet to the buyer, maybe give him some extra money in the refund, or store credit or what-have-you, so they won't neg you, overall you did the right thing.

  • Thank you for uncovering the errors of EBay...for sellers. I took a break from selling and am discovering some of the topics you've listed for deadbeat auction winners.

  • I think the unpaid strikes have to be different sellers. If you sell 4 items to the same bidder and they leave you feedback on all 4 it only counts as 1 positive on your profile

You seem to have a lot of problems. What kind of stuff do you sell? New or collectible? I sell on ebay but I sell antiques and colectibles. Hardly any new stuff. And I hardly have any problems. Most everyone pays me. Maybe only 1 or 2 out of 100 don't pay

If you're selling new stuff maybe you should consider Amazon

  • @rudemood2011 hi. i agree that the strikes have to be from different sellers, but i think this clown has done this before. amazon is only good for ppl who sell books or cds or new household items with ups codes. trust me i tried it already :-(

  • @crazeenydriver Yeah ebay is the only show boat in town for sure. But I can say that boat is sinking so you might get your wish. I've sold on ebay for over 10 years probably close to 2 million dollars total and I can say ebay gets worse every year. I remember back in 1999 when I frist started ebay was awesome. Ebay didn't own paypal and actually paypal was free to use anyway. It was great everything sold. A drunk monkey could make money. Now it's hard even for guys like me

  • I love YOUR ebay videos. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for another one!!!!!!

  • Why don't you sell on Amazon?

  • @Joseph9536 I think he said before that eBay gets the traffic.

  • @Joseph9536 I tried that, but all they want you to sell are book or cds, or new items with upc codes

  • @crazeenydriver you can have your own website and sell whatever you want on Amazon as i understand it; you just subscribe to their Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS) service and they'll power your site for you (shopping cart etc) and your stuff gets put in the search database....if you don't use their Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) you don't need UPC codes because you do the shipping.

  • Just one thing don't forget to tell us your stories from the 70's

  • @aaaaaaa1 what stories do you want to hear?

  • @crazeenydriver Well since I'm not American although born in the 70's all I know is what I see on tv. I can tell you must have vault of life experience gained working as a taxi driver, similar to De Nero's Taxi Driver. So how about the juicy stories, the good and the bad. I/we don't mind. It's all good as they say.

  • Another great video. All the best for 2012 and thanks for all the great ebay/paypal scam busting.
