@CompassCheck Caffeine doesn't improve your long-term prospects; sure, it can get you by the night before an exam. As for "You should be doing that anyway", well, a lot of people don't. If we could cut our health-care costs in half and improve our productivity, the US would be out of debt in no time. That's what I call a good investment.
This is horrible advice and will cost people money if they listen to it. There are two major problems. First, it doesn't account for inflation. Savings accounts have gotten hammered by inflation. Second, buying something because you think it'll go up in value is gambling. Any real investor will tell you that you make money when you buy, not when you sell.
A good investment a lot of people overlook is GOOD HEALTH. This means stop eating junk food and eat superfoods, supplements, and the like. It's an investment not because it increases in value, but rather because it increases your overall productivity. Not all investments simply "increase in value".
