Rubik's Cards - Tutorial

I have a quick question,

Is there a way to put your deck together so you let your spectator choose one for you (Clubs, hearts, spades or diamonds) but without having to shuffle the card? Because the fact that I can't shuffle the cards the way you do it will make the whole trick less convincing but when you let the spectator choose a selection of cards for you it will be more convincing again!

Like putting the black cards with the Queen on the top and the other with the Queen on the bottom??

Didn't work for me until i saw AllinTheD's comment and he made a great point..... at 4:03 when he picks up the card he puts that on the bottom of his hand and then the next card he picks up he puts ontop of the card in his hand.....then after he did that (pick up 2 cards, 3 cards, 4 cards) he puts them on the bottom of the deck

My best advice is to take your time. I know the trick looks better when performed quickly, but if you can't do it quickly, do it slowly, it might be better than messing up the whole trick.

I think i have done and fixed this trick for people who don't get it!

When you put them in the deck put them so the 8 is on top, do the deck shuffle, then do the trick

To those who are having a hard time getting this to work, it is probably because you need to reverse the order of the stack. The beginning stack is reversed when they are removed from the deck after the shuffling process. If you do not want to do the beginning shuffle then stack the cards so that the the Queen is on top and the 8 is on the bottom of the packet.

@Zapper4242 Remember that you have to switch the order of the cards. During the set up, the queen is on the bottom of the deck, but before you start mixing the cards around, it should be at the top. Hope that helps!

@19airsoft if you set it up as it said it shouldn't go wrong. The only way it could go wrong is when you riffle down more than once which may mess up the pile. So do few false cuts then riffle shuffle and then reverse it from bottom to the top. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem. I realized the error was in the step early on where you "peel off" 2 then 3 then 4 cards. That is not the same thing as grabbing three and moving them to the bottom. Once I did that, it worked correctly and was very satisfying!

hey Mismag! I possibly found a better way to do this... It is only if the person your doing the trick wants to see the cards before the trick has began :) all you need to do is FIRST set up SECOND get 13 random cards or this will not work and put then on the bottom so it should be the set up first then the 13 random cards on the bottom... THIRD try and maintain a pinky break in the middle (basically where the 8 of clubs will be) after you let the person or people see the cards... and then cut :)
