for everybody dissin... yea it does annoy but thats a quick fix.....these guys that made this video really made it to be a hassle... but some folks have shit to tune cars......lol... you guys really made the Sonata to look bad
I find that this generation still doesn't hold up quite well just yet.. This one leaked freon somewhere, bad front struts, tranny at times slipped a bit when cold, 2 of the door locks didn't work, power mirrors didn't work, it needed a new radio which the one you see in the vid we installed, the covers inside the fog light holes in the bumper fell out.
The new Sonata is a big improvement but still needs more time, use, & mileage so it can be well evaluated.
@Intechdude300 my family owns a used 2007 4 cyl sonata and it holds up pretty well to me... we bought it with 23k miles on it it has now about 89k , obviously this generation still in the ''old Hyundai thinking'' so the quality of the dash and some other parts do not match some of other brands... but still the engine and chassis and everything else feels great.... i guess its the maintenance & care u give to the car what really matters here!
p.s. my fam. is looking forward to buy a new sonata
@Intechdude300 totally true! i find it amazing that hyundai owns a share of kia, and basically gives kia the platform for their mainstream sedan, yet kia makes an even better vehicle with their platform LOL
So so. This one had a bad compressor, bad front struts, I swore to of felt the tranny slip a few times during thr 4-5 gear shift, Pw door lock wasnt working on 2 doors. I wasnt too impressed with it. If you want one of these years, I suggest you get the V6 version with low mileage so you can pamper the car to have a decent life. But they dont hold up to abuse too well.
Car had a missing radio. That black bezel for putting in radios like this was already there and so were the plugs. That means the previous owner already used an aftermarket radio. We just went out & gotthe JVC New $60. Fills the hole and it played fine.
Haha yeah. Like it's saying, OMG don't start Me Don't Start ME!!!! hehe the Accent isn't any better as they sound like something from 1985 when starting. Still lots of quality issues in the Gen Sonata..
@xoquixxoqafxo The starter in this one is going bad by the sound of it. We have several of these V6 sonatas at my work and the starter sound is very nice
I don't think he was flooring it all the way

@robbyisaac Check out the Optima 1st, same car underneath but with more mature styling & the interior is far richer than Sonata.

I hate that metallic noise the starter makes... sounds really unrefined
