  • Natalie Dessay 's interpretation is special! Note how she just touches, barely, the top tones instead of belting them out as most sopranos do. She is a thinking/feeling singer - very much involved in the interpretation of the chacter she portrays. Bravissima!!

THAT is an important part of the reason I am so fascinated by Natalie Dessay. It's partly the acting, but even more the interpretation, the musicianship, and the technique. The more I lilsten and watch, the better I like her. Far and away my favorite singer.
