  • Boy I wasted my time on this sad video. I love the music though. ..I'd like to see the seniors in this video give up their SS and medicare, but they wont. There were like 50 people there. Big fn deal.

  • And all this in a (Progressive, Liberal , Marxist , Socialist what ever they call themselves today) town, God Bless The USA.

  • Ron Paul / Jesse Ventura 2012

  • Lots of you are talking about the "liberal" media. I'm here to spread a little bit of truth (something rarely heard in the right wing media bubble): our media system is CORPORATE and pushes a CORPORATE agenda.

I'll GLADLY explain to anyone interested in truth how the system works, and how the myth of liberal media cannot be sustained upon serious, honest inquiry.

Send me a message if interested- I can't operate within the confines of 500 characters for that discussion.

    Take care!

  • You are correct that corporations do run the media, but I'll let you in a secret that the liberal, socialist, and communist elite like to keep to themselves.

You can get very rich under those systems, and have others willingly give up their freedoms if you package and market the message well enough. Or...

Simply promise to steal stuff from the "rich, middle class, others" to give to those that are not that group. Of course, that is all done for a fee, but they don't talk about that part.

  • the elites in our society are communist? LOL. That's cute.

Why don't you do some reading and at least rty to become educated on this topic. First, read Manufacturing Consent by Chomsky. Then read "the new media monopoly" by ben bagdikian. Anything by Amy Goodman is also excellent.

All I ask for is intellectual honesty. I have read the other side's argument- via books by goldberg and stossel.

    They are a JOKE.

I've done my research. Please do yours.

    That's all I ask.

    :)

  • You mean the Chomsky who ignored 1s hand reports out of Laos and Cambodia regarding the genocide by the communists and instead cited obscure sources sympathetic to the communist cause.

You lost all credibility when you referenced Chomsky. Read the Anti-Chomsky Reader regarding his other "research".

Also look up the true definition of right/left wing instead of Stalin's definition. The far right is anti government and its extreme is anarchy.

  • I will read the anti-Chomsky reader.

What books of Chomsky's have you read?

The true definition of left/right. What an interesting concept- truth.

Part of the far-right, in the USA is theocratic. I do get a sense that another segment of the far-right is anti-govt. If only they had the brains to be anti-corporate as well.

Seeing as how our govt operates as little other than a conduit for corporate power and a corporate agenda.

    Life is the best.

    Viva Shakespeare!

  • Twisting words... Not very intellectually honest... I did not say that all of the elite are communist. I was talking specifically about the elite in those sub groups.

Throwing Chomsky out there why not just mention Mao, Lenin, Stalin, and Pot... For my research I prefer to read the US constitution, the bill of rights, and the Federalist papers. I don't know call me a capitalist, revolutionary, or maybe just an American, but that is where my inspiration comes from.

  • it is TOTALLY intellectually honest. I'd be interested in you attempting to elaborate on that...not holding my breath.

It's important to read the constitution, the federalist papers, franklin, jefferson, etc.

It is ALSO important to read Marx, Chomsky, Rousseau, Lenin, etc.

Read BOTH sides- then make a decision. Too many of you never gave the other side an honest reading.

There are PLENTY of valid points to be made by capitalism's opponents.

J.S. Mill's great book "On Liberty" comes to mind.

  • let's talk about intellectual honesty- you simply engaged in character attacks. Chomsky is the equivalent of Stalin and Mao?

What kind of UTTER nonsense is that?

Engage Chomsky's points intellectually, or admit you don't understand/have never read him.

    You are embarrassing yourself.

  • GEORGE SOROS RING A BELL?

  • richard mellon scafe and daddy bucks coors ring a bell?

what is your point? there are very rich ideologues on both sides.

I think the right is intellectually and morally bankrupt. People like Palin and Limbaugh and Levin personify this madness.

I wish you luck finding your way out of the political wilderness- try not to go the way of the Tory.

  • Just because they appoint Communists as advisers, read communist books, hate capitalism. Well that doesn't mean anything, and its not like this guy(tristramshandy3) isn't some burnt out hippie.... oh wait ya I seen your profile hay dude I love the Beatles and Garcia too dude. just admit you hate capitalism so we can ignore you from the get go.

  • yes, ignore everyone that sees things differently- that way you will never have to experience that awful and dangerous thing called 'independent thought".

    You love capitalism?

    OK.

Can you explain how capitalism is sustainable?

That is my main beef with the system- and I have NEVER found ANYONE that can explain how this system survives for an extended period (remember- industrialization is a radically new development still- it's only about 200 years old- and look what we have done to the planet)

  • looks like the crowd represents the right in contemporary American politics- 98% old white people.

You guys are in your "last throws" to quote the terrorist Dick Cheney.

Question that won't be answered (you guys don't engage in discourse, you call names- a reflection of the ubiquitous ignorance plaguing your side of the aisle):

Bush ran up record deficits. Where were you then?

You guys aren't protesting big govt, you are protesting your huge electoral losses in the last 2 elections.

  • About a third or more are Hispanic.

You're right, name calling is only for the intellectually corrupt, with no real ideas behind them.

I recall, tea-bagger seems to be a really big intellectual word that the left likes to use? Maybe I'm wrong on that?

You are correct Bush ran up terrible deficits, and then Obama made sure to out do him and double those, maybe triple?... Big government does such things, and huge government brings us out to set things right. Enjoy real change... 2010, 2012.

  • sorry if I don't take your word for it. Every time the camera pans out for a wide angle shot, ALL I can see is a sea of old white people.

You can deny that is your main constituency, but I think it's quite clear.

    Real change?

what are you going to do- vote for republicans?

LOL. I think we tried that. Didn't work.

Irony- you are in the same position as me- as far-leftist- we both lack significant representation in govt.

    Viva Shakespeare

    Obama is a corporatist.

I think you guys are clueless.

  • Of course you're only going to see what you want too.

When ever I see most liberal get-to-gethers all I see are a bunch of elitists that feel bad about the fact that their parents had the audacity to be successful and make money. Or, just a bunch of people that want to use the government to steal from one group and give that loot to another group.

Also, I didn't deny that is our main constituency are Caucasian Americans, 2/3s is more than 1/3...

  • There is more to life than making money, and anyone who measures success in financial terms, is, in my opinion, mentally corrupted.

I mean no personal disrespect- it is difficult for me to be honest and also inoffensive when talking to my ideological opponents today.

Where is the appreciation for art, for philosophy, for self-reflection?

I'd like to see more of that from the right.

Hell, I'd like to see more of that from the left too.

    Perspectives are fun!

    Today was awesome- great hike!!!

  • Your right, there is more to life than making money, but making money is part of life. I have a great appreciation for the arts. I like the arts even more when I'm not forced to pay someone that doesn't want to get a job, but wants to use my tax dollars to fund his artistic lifestyle. Shakespeare, Van Gogh, Beethoven, none of them were on the public dole when they created some of the greatest art known. But artists today just expect, everyone to pay them to create mediocre "art".

  • Hey! We agree about something!!! How fantastic!

Who is getting paid to create art? I wasn't aware of this program. What program is it and how much money do they get?

Also, you are correct, in a way- because you can NEVER achieve great art through monetary incentive- that is antithetical to the very nature of art- which cannot be about making money or it isn't art at all.

  • I was there all day, and found the Arizona Star remarkably accurate, as was Channel 13. KGUN 9 did a story, but I did not watch it. Do check your sources!!

  • That's funny because I didn't see you there.... nor could I find a story with either KOLD or KGUN 9...

You're a plant from the leftist media, aren't you?

    hahahahaah!!!

  • Huh? Nope. Not at all. And I'm actually kind of sorry that I have to report that the stories were good, because I don't like slanted media any more than it sounds like you do. But fair is fair, honest is honest, and they did cover it. I will say that while channel 13 ran the story, it was third in a sad lineup of Sat. night news. I don't know if it's on video or not. And, er, um, you had to see me. I was stationed near the entrance from 745am to 130pm!!!

  • Great event!!!

Too bad most of the local media, the propaganda arm of the radical left, totally ignored the story.

I suggest boycotting all advertisers of KOLD and KGUN 9...

These people are not worthy of your money.

  • Kold did do a story on it was very good.

  • GREAT video PATRIOT'S , GOD blessing on you ALL .

  • You are not a patriot unless you supporrt Ron Paul. He is a 100% patriot, and not an Israel-firster.

  • Proud to be an American Living in Tucson. we must keep it up and keep the pressure on the politicians who refuse to listen to us.

  • An incredible event.

  • Great job organizers!!! We all had a wonderful time meeting so many great people. Thanks again!

  • LIFE is GOOD Patriot's , but there is still a lot of work to do. GOD bless you all.

  • Wow!! Great job guys. Both of my kids were born in Tucson, I can't wait to show them this video!

  • woohoo!! awesome!! party on patriots!!!!!
