@BlastofFreshAir It's not that easy. A president doesn't have the power that so many think he does. Any changes to policies need the support of Congress and Cabinet Members. That's a huge, long term undertaking. The House holds the purse strings, so funding being granted or taken away would be their job, not the Presidents. Yes, the President can call the troops home but that cost a lot of money, not to mention equipment and effects on economies where we're based.

In my readings of people like Von Mises and Hayek I find their conception of "freedom" and "liberty" applies to businesses and not to individuals. IMO, those theories applied would create more even more misery.

@imarocksinger Hate to butt in, but I'm just putting this out there. A business could not possibly do well if they paid that much to their employees. Get real, they would be out of business in no time. Ending minimum wage helps small businesses grow. I work for a small business that could pay me $7.25 an hour, but they don't because they respect my work for them and many of the other employees have worked there for years. All of us have become great at our jobs for this reason. Quality goes up
