@graffitivideos95 i just got my self a wrist strap bow release and i have no idea how shoot accuately with it i mastered the t shaped thumb realeses and can hit a target the size of a quarter at 30 ft with it but i cant figure out how to use this one. im using it exacly the way this guy is but the arrow still hits on an upper right handside diagonal 6 inches frm the bulls eye is there a special way to hold it ?
i prefer wrist strap for all archery shooting. it's how i started and it's very natural to me. plus it's killed several deer and alot of rabbits in my back yard so i'm not complaining(:
@Fisherguy28 i would say in general - wrist for hunting, hand for target shooting (like fita). the like they "surprising release", hunters want a "schoot...NOW" release
i shoot both with a wrist release (field targets, 50m).
but please dont compare a 20$ wrist relase with a 100$ hand release.
I've tried using release's, I prefer to use jsut my finger's. I find it more satisfying. otherwise you might as well just shoot a gun. lol but thats my personal opinion.
@Shaunmjallen If you're using your fingers on a recurve bow, OK. If you're using fingers with a compound bow, it's too easy to accidentally derail your string and possibly do extensible damage. (See watch?v=AJoxJJjcQFU)
Are there any brand names for release aids for beginners. I'd like to hunt but I need all the basic info a lots of practice before killing an animal humanely.
